peaceful safe stay as police station is right next to the car park. lovely to watch the ships come and go.

sezbobs20/10/2025Very quiet here, no noise at all really after about 8pm. There's a pub which I didn't go in and a premier store a ten minute walk away. I felt safe even though I was the only van there.

Great find for a stopover on route to the south. Popped in and had a really nice dinner at the Commissioner’s Quay. It’s a large pub so less of a worry about having to book, we went on a Saturday night and there were plenty of tables. Quiet nights sleep (albeit a bit windy!) and woke up to a lovely view of the quay.

Wir standen ein paar Meter nördlich in einer der Querbuchten: ein toller Platz für die letzte Nacht auf der Insel. Die Nachtruhe wurde lediglich anfangs durch die obligatorischen Poser eingeschränkt, bevor dann nur noch Möwen und das große Windrad den Schlaf begleiteten. Das Restaurant ist eine Empfehlung zum Dinner und morgendlichen Frühstück.

Beautiful view on the river and the sea behind it. No restriction, no street noise. Felt safe. Just some background noise from a big wind turbine nearby. We didn't mind but if you're sensitive, it might get on your nerves.

Roadside parking opposite Quay no parking restrictions very quiet road next to a pub which did nice food stayed overnight woke to beautiful view of the Quay

Parked right outside the pub, very quiet, little road noise. No noise from the pub, and it’s free.
HerbertHymerJ30/10/2024Great Park-up! Quiet roadside next to the quay. No services, but opposite the pub. We are a big lump, at 4.2m, but no problem, plenty of room. Very little traffic overnight, no disturbances, no signs - enjoy & leave no sign!
