Car park at the moment closed off. Other parking lot has a sign ‘only for facility users’. Parking places along the roads only for smaller vehicles.
Hippodrome de Pontefract aucune restriction poubelles et toilettes publiques ouvertes en journée et certains soirs. possède un parc ancien lac de plaisance. je ne sais pas s'il est toujours autorisé à naviguer et à se garer à un kilomètre et demi de là
Pontefract racecourse no restrictions bins and public toilets open daytime and some evening. has a park old boating lake. not sure if still allowed to boat and retail park a mile away
Pferderennbahn Pontefract keine Einschränkungen. Mülleimer und öffentliche Toiletten sind tagsüber und an manchen Abenden geöffnet. hat einen alten Bootssee im Park. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das Bootfahren und der Einzelhandelspark eine Meile entfernt noch erlaubt sind
Hipódromo de Pontefract sin restricciones, los contenedores y los baños públicos abren durante el día y algunas noches. Tiene un antiguo parque recreativo en el lago. No sé si todavía está permitido navegar y aparcar a una milla

Haben hier nur eine Nacht gestanden. Ruhig und morgens kann man zu einem kleinen Kaffee auf der Rennbahn spazieren.
quorthorn13/06/2025We stayed here overnight and had a good nights sleep. We parked at the far end of the car park where you can overhang a little bit over the grass until you almost touch the hill/bank. Nice walk and an ice cream at the boating lake and about 15 minutes walk into town. Two other MH’s also stayed overnight.

Cracking place to stay over , public toilets open from 9:30am -6pm massive park for little ones, and most importantly right next to a fantastic racecourse, stayed here 3 times now and never a issue.

Beware: stayed here Saturday night and got woken at midnight to guys on a quad bike hitting our side window, now cracked. Senseless and scary. Didn't feel safe after that and I was glad to have another van there for reassurance. Won't stay there again.

loads of room for anything with an overhand in the furthest car park. few yobbos with loud exhaust and wheel spinning in the area but they left eventually and were harmless. Nice fields surrounding.

Lovely park, perfect for dogs. Slept very well. toilets free, open 9.30am to 6.30pm. Please note, to get to the furthest carpark you cross the race track, so not accessible on race days. We planned to stay on a race day so went to the other Pontefract stop and walked to the castle (free entry, dogs on leads allowed) then drove here 2 hours after the last race and all well.
HillsExplore17/03/2024We spent a quiet night here on a Thursday night. We got a knock on the door from security but only asking us if we were there for an event at the weekend. No bother. Very pleasant. Bins available and the toilet block is open from 9am to 6pm

stayed here last night plenty of room to park few cars coming and going mostly dog walkers all quiet through the night
