Parking sur une route à côté de la mer et d'une plage de galets. Pas de restrictions. Une meilleure option est South Road qui se trouve à proximité, à côté des jardins et du terrain de football. C'est beaucoup plus calme avec très peu de circulation la nuit et de belles promenades à proximité.
Parking on a road next to the sea and a stone beach. No restrictions. A better option is South Road which is nearby, next to the gardens and football area. It’s much quieter with very little passing traffic at night and lovely walks nearby.
Parken auf einer Straße neben dem Meer und einem Steinstrand. Keine Einschränkungen. Eine bessere Option ist die South Road in der Nähe neben den Gärten und dem Fußballplatz. Es ist viel ruhiger mit sehr wenig Durchgangsverkehr in der Nacht und schönen Spaziergängen in der Nähe.

Stayed here for one night before getting the euro tunnel. There were two other campers when I pulled up so I felt relatively safe. It was a little noisy at night with cars going past but I was very tired from driving 6 hours from Yorkshire so I was fine. There were lots of people walking and running on the path in the morning but the sunrise was absolutely glorious. Signal good. Would stay again.
For a quick over night before the eurotunnel its great. little noisy till 2230 with slight camber, but its free and only 10 mins to the tunnel
Great place to stop. Free parking from 18:00 - 08:00 hrs. brilliant view of the sea. Road has some traffic but it quietens down at night. Definitely recommend.
We stayed here overnight with our motorhome. Every car the goes past will shake your vehicle and you will need ramps as the road cambers and was quite leaned over. Got quiet around 11pm. Free parking and you will definitely find a space as there’s at least 1 mile of road to choose from!
Good free stop- lovely walk in evening along promenade but marked down to the cars passing noisily & close to vehicle causing huge shakes & the weather turned stormy in early hours so little sleep was had (we foolishly didn’t check weather as was such nice evening & so calm)
Noisy road and narrow bays. We tried South Road and saw a not very conspicuous sign that prohibits overnight campers. Be warned!
Great,safe spot. I didn't find the traffic too bad. Free to park between 6pm and 8 am May-September. Half the beach is dog friendly. There were no obvious toilets right nearby apart from the swimming pool. Waitrose is a short drive/walk with a cafe and wifi. I worked remotely out of my van successfully with no problems hotspotting. Parking meter during day takes cards -around £1 an hour.
We arrived in Hythe late at night found this on the app and thought give it a try we have a 8.7m and got a space no problem opposite the hotel. The next morning we woke up to a great view of the sea there was a coffee van just a few feet away. Cars did fly past through the night but we sleep through anything so didn’t bother us. The parking sign said free after 6pm and before 8am.
Nice sea view on the road, but traffic is noisy until midnight and every passing car rocked the van. There were also teenagers lighting fireworks on the beach for an hour. South Road, wick others mentioned as well, would have been nicer and quieter, but we couldn't find an available parking space.
Update 3/7/23 can still park by the sea. Narrow space marked out, noisy road and fishermen late at night with high tide. South road as mentioned has no restrictions at all and is a quieter choice although locals may not like it. No reason not to park there that we could see. No dogs on beach in summer or off lead on the park by south road. Such a pity as good dog owners are heavily restricted
Fantastic views but pretty noisy with traffic especially with the awful road surface. Tried South St as suggested but was told by a local we would get fined. Also tried Marine Parade as suggested but there are signs prohibiting campers overnight.
Instead of Princess Parade (to the left), which is right on the main road by the beach, I turned right into Marine Parade. Also no restrictions but feels a bit more protected by the houses behind and although it’s quiet in the whole area tonight (mid-week in November), I think this space would be quieter than Princess Parade when the area is busier. Immediate access to the beach, which is great for my dog.

Pas de dérangement, mais garés juste en bord de route, les voitures nous rasaient rapidement toute la nuit (baisse de la fréquentation à partir de 23h) Très belle vue, toilettes à proximité, bonne connexion 4G.
Wunderschöner Platz. Ein Seitenstreifen an der Straße, etwas eng und nachts auch ein bisschen unruhig. Dafür direkt am langen Strand am Meer, Toiletten und High Street vom niedlichen Hythe fußläufig erreichbar, außerdem ein Footpath am Bach entlang. Die Einheimischen sind freundlich und nett.
Perfect stop for euro tunnel which is 10 mins away - we stopped here in the hottest day so we’re in the sea at 530 before our crossing - friendly locals saying good morning to us - the only issue is that cars drive along and it is a concrete road so it is a bit noisy

Perfect place to stop before an early Eurotunnel crossing. We actually parked on the road leading to the exact spot on this map. On the bridge, overlooking the park.
Sitio perfecto para dormir cerca del Eurotunnel. Es verdad que pasaban algunos coches muy rápido y hacían ruido pero dormimos muy bien y nos encantó despertarnos con esas vistas. Fuimos a ver South Road y es verdad que es muy tranquilo pero elegimos dormir frente al mar. Nos quedamos hasta las 10am y pagué 2£ de parking con la app. Volveremos seguro
Perfect for quick stay. Stunning views. No overnight restrictions, pay and display. Close toilet block. Lots of early dog walkers and runners. Only downside is close to wall parking and vehicle will shake due to cars going so fast, but had a really nice sleep despite. Ideal location before heading onto the tunnel & recommend
Good little park up waiting for Eurotunnel stayed last night only downfall is the boy racers up and down all night but once asleep perfect night beautiful views to wake up to
Only negative parts are the cars whizzing past & parking on the road means one side you’ll struggle to get out by the wall & the other is fast busy traffic. Pay & display. Absolutely beautiful views and the beach is lovely, lots of dog walkers. Definitely nice to park up for a few hours.
Stayed for quick overnight. Arrived after 8pm. Loads of spaces but parking lane is very narrow so couldn’t open passenger door but sliding door no problem. Only downside was that the van rocked every time a fast car passed. That said, we had a peaceful night sleep. Beautiful waking up to 180deg beach scene and sunrise. Miles of lovely promenade walking. Great for easy access to ferry/tunnel.
As previously mentioned fast cars , we stayed opposite imperial hotel there was a wedding on but not very noisy and finished early. The parking lane is quite narrow by the sea wall so depending on habitation door opening will decide which way you face as you can’t open it if it’s next to the wall by the sea. Good free place to stay around 20 mins from the tunnel.

Parking right next to the beach with nice walks to folkstone of hythe...parking charges apply mon-sun 8am-6pm no signs to say you can't over night park. nice spot however it's a very long straight road and cars do come down at speed....my advice is park either end of the road so at least they are slowing down.
No signs for no overnight parking, however don’t recommend due to cars racing up and down road all night. Great for a break from driving with lovely shingle beach and nice walk for the dogs
Over night parking is not allowed any more on the sea front. There's a nice spot by the river near aldi.
Il y a deux lieux différents, un petit parking dans le virage, payant et barrière de hauteur. Et tout le bord de route à côté de la plage, gratuit. Les deux sont bruyant dû au passage de voitures mais très pratique pour profiter de la mer avant embarquement pour le tunnel sous la Manche.

Lieu très beau mais très bruyant : passage fréquent de voitures et motos tard le soir et tôt le matin. Parfait pour stationner uniquement.
Avant de prendre le ferry, idéal pour prendre une tasse de thé avec une vue splendide sur la mer. (voir photo du camping-car)
