The park is adjacent to the village of Greetham, through which the Viking Way runs along with other footpath networks. There is a gravel path from the park to the village (about five minutes level walk). which is served by a regular bus to Oakham (a lovely town with a good range of generally smaller shops), and also a service to Melton Mowbray (a larger town with more shops). From both towns there are bus services to take you further afield.

we stopped here for 3 nights and thought it was a lovely peaceful place on the adults only side. Toilets and showers nice and clean. 5 minute walk through small track in the corner which takes you past a church. pub food was lovely but a bit pricey (The Plough). Also used the cafe a couple of times and the food was good there too! Gary.
Leider sehr teuer und schon in die Jahre gekommen. Allerdings war es sauber. Wir würde mit zwei Kindern nicht noch mal kommen. Aber man hat uns reingelassen, obwohl wir deutlich zu spät kamen.
Nicht empfehlenswert! Wir waren um 16.50 Uhr dort und wurden nicht mehr eingelassen, obwohl der Platz fast leer war. Der Platzwart wollte um 17.00 Uhr Feierabend machen. Es war ihm offenbar zu mühsam, uns um 16.50 Uhr noch zu registrieren. Der Herr war sehr unfreundlich. Die haben wohl keine Gäste nötig. Ohnehin ist die Gegend sehr unattraktiv. Bleiben Sie dort fern!
