Ideal stopover for visiting Skegness as parking in town in quite difficult for motorhomes etc. Just down the a52 from the town centre, not too much road noise until morning and has a little coffee/breakfast van ready for the morning!

Idealer Zwischenstopp für einen Besuch in Skegness als Parkplatz in der Stadt, ziemlich schwierig für Wohnmobile usw. Nur die A52 vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, nicht zu viel Straßenlärm bis zum Morgen und hat einen kleinen Kaffee- / Frühstückswagen für den Morgen bereit!

We had great nights sleep next to the cafe stop against the trees. We had a lorry in front of us and felt safe. We were up early and went round to the McDonalds that opens at 6am coffee and toilet breaks before spending the day in Skegness.
We stayed here for a night last autumn. It was clean and had plenty of room for several vehicles. The main road is busy but not a problem. At night it feels a little lonely as there aren’t many houses around. I wouldn’t have stayed there on my own as people arrive during the small hours but with two or more people I felt quite safe . Would stay again.
Great stop for the night, nice to have some cover from the trees. We were the only van there but still felt very safe. We parked up on the side closest to the road which is pretty flat and level, other side is a bit hit and miss with some pot holes. Only gripe is the road noise, it was pretty good after midnight to be fair but it's a main road so to be expected.
went mid January arrived about 10pm 2 other vans where there , very quiet as off season grid nights sleep ! cafe was open but had to get going....would definitely stay here again but prob not in busy season
idéal pour 1 nuit , assez bruyant.... comme toutes ces aires près d'une route mais quand on est autonome c'est gratuit alors merci
Ideal location for if you’re visiting Skegness or surrounding areas. Lots of tree cover so it doesn’t feel too exposed. Relatively flat and good phone signal. Quite a bit of litter and can get quite busy, hence the 4 stars. However, there is a Halfords and McDonalds just down the road, which is really handy for toilets or van stuff!
Felt safe as there was another camper, Decent layby on a busy road, for a 1 night sleep with a cafe with benches. large pot holes on left really could do with leveling with gravel. Has a bin for rubbish. Sunday morning HGV parked right behind me at 6am with engine running then 2 locals turned up at 8am in the morning litter picking in the area.

Camped there last night was lovely haven’t even got a proper camper setup but a inflatable matteress and a Ford transit connect and some pillows and a duvet was well away burger thing wasn’t open as it was Sunday for us so we just got out the bbq ?? deffo stop there again was our fist and quite enjoyed it ?
We stayed at this place last night Monday 26/6/23 It felt very safe and we didnt move on until midday the next day. Yes you will get traffic noise most of night that's why I gave it 4 stars. Would certainly use again.
Great stop off couldn’t hear any Road noise due to being tree lined, and the road side cafe opens at 8 serving brilliant affordable food.will be staying again when in the area.
This was my first wild camping spot had a very peaceful night sleep the road was a bit busy in the morning, I will come back when in skegness
Stopped in for one night with no trouble food van and bins available trees all round would stop again
Definitely stop here again, I slept in too late! That’s how quiet and secure I felt. A few vans were already here, we moved onto the WW2 Museum just outside of Boston for breakfast because we woke up on a Sunday and the cafe hut didn’t open.
Arrived mid afternoon and stayed for 24 hours to do some caching in the area on my bike. Had bike on moho overnight with no issues. Had the place to myself I think, at least, nothing woke me up to say otherwise. Pictures are a bit out of date, but cafe is still good from 8am weekdays, shuts around 2pm and not open on Sundays.
Great place. Thanks for this recommendation. Stayed here Monday night. Very quiet. Nice breakfast. Very handy location. On the right side of the road as you approach Skegness.
Nice big lay-by a bit noisy but quiet later on the lay-by cafe called The Fool's and Sources i would recommend the breakfast and the chap who was running it was very happy to see us using his services food very good had to wait as he was very busy must be well known cars and vans never stopped pulling in for his snap I recommend this stop over
Staid here last night. It's just off the road with some trees sperating you. Plenty of space, I think there were 3 other campers when we pulled up for the night but could easily fit 8 or more. The butty van was open and he puts out a couple of benches and an extra bin for people to use.
Was quite quiet and easy to find. Morris ons just down the road :)
Lay-by parking, trees shield you from the wind. butty van in the morning. not too noisy. stopped here lots, never had a problem.
