Great view but no access to the beach. Also if you could get down to the beach there is a warning of quick sand. We stayed at the caravan and camping club site in the end.
Open to elements, and we were the only ones there all night with the odd car/van stopping to admire the view. Can see the cows on the beach as well. Signs on the beach saying quicksand and a strong under current. Still a good free stop over, would of been better if we had sun
Great spot not far from Castlebay, with amazing views and a small private beach. Quite exposed to the elements and next to the road so not super private but nice for 1 night.
Parking langs de baan maar tijdens de avond/nacht weinig verkeer. Directe toegang tot het strand, leuk om te wandelen. Geen voorzieningen. Wij stonden er met vier kampeerwagens.
Great fairly level spot overlooking the most beautiful sandy beach with views of the sunset. It is on the main ring road around the island however overnight there was very little passing traffic. Room for at least 4 large motor homes.
Stayed for one night before getting the ferry the next day. Mostly level. Overlooking the beach (although warning of quick sands here). No bins or other facilities. No visible restrictions. As others have said, on the main ring road but low traffic levels and fairly quiet. Docked a star as vehicle passed twice holding down their horn the entire way (9.30pm and again at 8.15am).
There are few pullovers on this road next to two white sand beaches. I stopped at the first one, because it is not right on the main road. Very little traffic during the day and very quiet at night, just the sound of the waves. Good phone signal.
This is a great spot, it is very exposed to the wind when it’s blowing in from the Atlantic but it’s flat and has beautiful views. Full phone signal on EE and the road was quiet at night. Really quick drive from Castlebay.
Really nice little park up. Stayed here one night after having to move off Vartasey due to cows damaging motorhome. No facilties but stunning views, right by the beach and even though next to the road it is very quiet.
