We arrived, it looked deserted, the campsite was empty. When we finally managed to get someone to answer the door, we said we wanted accommodation for two adults and two children. We were immediately told that children were not allowed… We’ve traveled all over Europe, but this has never happened to us anywhere. Unbelievable hatred! I definitely do not recommend this campsite!!
Lovely peaceful campsite, well organised not over crowded. Just lovely.
Very nice welcome received from the owner on arrival. The gate posts are very narrow. The pitch was not level so chocks are required which is a bit disappointing when its purpose is to accommodate a motorhome. The surface is a black gritty substance that treads in to the van very easily. The shower is an electric one that is charged extra for and delivers a miserable amount of water.
Great little campsite, perfect rural location with walks down the Monsil Trail, Bakewell and a few local Pubs. Great toilet and shower facilities with optional electric hookup points. Owners are very friendly and helpful. We brought our dog with us and he had a great time, need to keep dogs on a lead which is always understandable. Lots of wildlife around which is nice too see!
Beautiful location and friendly owners. 10 euro for electricity is quite expensive and one toilet/shower not much for the size of the place. However, still a very nice place to go.
Have stayed her in both a tent and a VW camper. Great little site. Small but always clean and quiet. 2 good pubs within 10 min walk and both dog friendly. Monsal trail is accessible a few hundred yards away. Will definitely recommend and stay here again.
Lovely family run little site, we rang the same morning and they were able to accommodate with electric hookup for £30. Due to low season, didn't charge for our two dogs, usually £1 a night each. This isn't the most modern of facilities, but doesn't claim to be, however was very clean. Only one toilet, which could be an issue when busy. Only space for about three campers, two hard standing.
