7 foot 7 high bridge
Le « Black Slab » est un parking du Conseil Angus, il n'y a pas de signalisation pour le stationnement de nuit (contrairement aux autres parkings de Carnoustie !). Situé entre le centre de loisirs et le Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa à côté de la mer et de la belle plage de sable (quand la marée est basse). Il est principalement utilisé par les promeneurs de chiens et les nageurs locaux tôt le matin. Les seuls inconvénients sont: c'est très exposé et venteux; les jeunes de Carnoustie s'y rendent pour traîner et jouer leur musique (même si j'ai entendu un peu d'ABBA hier soir !), je recommande les bouchons d'oreille.
The ‘Black Slab’ is an Angus Council Carpark, has no signage overnight parking (unlike the other Carparks on Carnoustie!). Located between the Leisure Centre and the Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa next to the sea and beautiful sandy beach (when the tide is out). It is mainly used by local early morning dog walkers and swimmers. The only down sides are: it’s very exposed and windy; the youths of Carnoustie do drive there to hang out and play their music (although I did hear a bit of ABBA last night!), I recommend ear plugs.
Der „Black Slab“ ist ein Parkplatz des Angus Council, hat keine Beschilderung zum Parken über Nacht (im Gegensatz zu den anderen Parkplätzen auf Carnoustie!). Zwischen dem Freizeitzentrum und dem Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa neben dem Meer und dem wunderschönen Sandstrand (bei Ebbe) gelegen. Es wird hauptsächlich von lokalen Spaziergängern und Schwimmern am frühen Morgen genutzt. Die einzigen Nachteile sind: Es ist sehr exponiert und windig; Die Jugendlichen von Carnoustie fahren dorthin, um abzuhängen und ihre Musik zu spielen (obwohl ich letzte Nacht ein bisschen ABBA gehört habe!), Ich empfehle Ohrstöpsel.

BZ_Rumtreiber08/07/2025Eine ruhige Nacht hier verbracht. Montag. nur ein weiteres Motorhome hier. sauber, ordentlich, die Anwohner sagen nichts. Keine Verbotsschilder. Busparkplatz frei lassen, morgens kommen große Reisebusse hier her. Das angrenzende indische Restaurant ist sehr gut, toller Service. Viele Hunde, viele Mülleimer. Gute Gassigegend. Wir würden wieder kommen. Mehr als 4 Plätze vorhanden.
broadswordian27/06/2025agree with all the comments. a good spot to stay overnight. Nice cycle path, EV1, nearby. very good thai restaurant in town. busy car park with golf course traffic. goes quiet after sun down. stayed mid summer Wednesday night.

We spent a very relaxing night here on the 28th of May. We were the only campervan here. Lots of friendly dog walkers etc around the place but everyone was fine with us. Would stay here again

Wir haben eine angenehme Nacht gehabt. Viele Spaziergänger mit Hunden, viele Autos die kommen und gehen, Nachts war es allerdings sehr ruhig.
vince202228/08/2024Wir haben hier eine ruhige und angenehme Nacht verbracht (Dienstag auf Mittwoch). Der Parkplatz ist sauber und bietet ausreichend Platz. Es sind einige Menschen mit Hunden unterwegs. Man kann einen tollen Spaziergang am Strand unternehmen und sieht als Frühaufsteher den Sonnenaufgang über dem Meer. In der Nähe (im Sportcenter) sind auch öffentliche, saubere Toiletten.

can’t ask for more. free place to sleep, skatepark close to the lot. sea view, cant complain. make shure to set the navigation to the trainstation north of the parking lot first otherwise you dive up on the low bridges of the traintracks. and there is free WI-FI at the golf course with benches to sit on and downlod some maps and stuff.

Plenty of room to stay over, not sure why some people say there are only 4 spaces. Right next to beach. A bit noisy with boy racers but only lasted a short while. Felt quite safe. Just make sure you approach from the station end of town where there is a crossing because there are height restrictions on the bridges.

Nice spot with good views. Pretty exposed as mentioned above but not bad. The local youths were a bit of a problem playing music and also doing handbrake turns in the car park till 1am. Good spot if you’re in a pinch but personally I would avoid if I was here again.

ganz am Strand gelegen und grosser Parkplatz. kein Verbotsschild für Übernachtung (was der Nachbarparkplatz hat). sehr sauber aber leider keine öffentliche Toilette. Am nahen Golfplatz gibt es ein kleines Pub mit gutem Essen zu guten Preisen. gefrühstückt haben wir im Golfhotel für 14£ vom Buffet. für Wohnmobile/Vans bis max. 6,50m geeignet. keine Motorhome-Plätze vorhanden.

Good spot, no boy racers on a Monday night. There's no height restriction in the carpark itself but vehicles over 1.9m tall should go via Station road level crossing to avoid height restrictions going under the train tracks in Carnoustie.
