Last year I paid £14 for an overnight stay which I thought was reasonable bearing in mind there are no facilities/services. This year the cost has risen to £27 ! The previous night I stayed on fully serviced site for £16.50. I feel somewhat ripped off and will not use Stratford Sports club parking on my return.

Great for parking up our 7.5m motorhome and visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, a short walk to town, cost £4.60 for 3 hours so not cheap but it suited us for lunch and some shopping. Not many places that you can safely park when the spaces in the leisure center are full.

  • 4/5

Yes, it's expensive for what you get, £27 for 24 hours. The race course was closed, unfortunately. Ideal for a sheltered night during high winds though. Great access into town. Groundspeople are annoyed at people using the skip for general rubbish. There are plenty bins in the park!

Please be aware new parking meter and ANPR system installed 04/09/2025 , new charges apply . 24hrs now £27.00 ! and new hourly rates, 72 hours WAS £27.00 NOW £40.00 !! Card payment and APP available No Cash, see new signposts.

Parked up, however the pay machine wanted £27 for 24hours with no facilities! Enquired if the machine was faulty, was told the car park has been taken over by a new company and prices changed yesterday. Didn't stay, moved on.

Perfect park up for being very central to the town. It overlooks a cricket pitch so your able to sit outside you MH and watch a match. Toilet nearby but apart from that no other facilities. Lots of bars and restaurants within throwing distance! Great value for money at £27 for 72 hours

  • 5/5

An absolute gem of a place! Continue through the car park to the sports ground and you’ll see a row of camper vans to parked to your right. Perfect location, right on the river, loads of bars, cafes etc and short walk to town. Accessible for all size vans and public toilets to use. £14.20 for 24 hours with the option to stay for up to 72 hours! Will definitely return!

14£20 pour 24h. Toilettes très propres mais fermées de 21h à 9h. Centre ville à 5min par un petit pont piéton.

Nice flat pitches with a variety of durations available on the pay meter. We stayed on a Saturday evening and there were about 10 other campers. There was noise until about 1 am which included cars and loud music. I think this was from the carpark behind us but it was quiet afterwards. The phone signal was pretty good.

We stayed for 2 nights last week. It's a perfect location. Loads of lovely walks along the river & canal. Easy walk into town. We had 2 peaceful & safe nights and will definitely return. We paid £27 for 72hrs, as it was cheaper than 2 x 24hrs. The toilets at the recreation ground were nicer than the ones operated by the bar. But both were spotlessly clean. I highly recommend this park-up.

Fabulously flat , quiet and convenient spot. The nearest public loos were out of order. In the morning I recommend the hotel breakfast at The Swan's Nest, Bistro Pierre. It was £14 for a hot breakfast choice plus the buffet . The loos there are very nice and it is so handy!

  • 5/5

Excellent place to park, there was a new “evening charge” in place that was only £8.30 from about 5pm until 10am so excellent value… flat and well drained, only one other camper and nice and quiet all night. Easy walk into town, so great spot.

  • 5/5

Great place, £14.20 for 24hrs, very helpful parking attendant allowed our friends to take up two parking spaces due to the size of their MH, will return again

  • 4/5

Great stop over, can get a little bit of music noise from the local bars, but nothing that kept us awake. Perfect location for walking around Stratford and taking in all the sights. Public loo’s were ok a 2 minute walk away. There is a garage with a Waitrose store a few minutes walk away for any essentials and bars and restaurants very very close by. We will definitely be back here.

  • 4/5

nice place to stay, stayed on the 17/10/24 little bit expensive but in the heart of Stratford upon Avon.

  • 5/5

Great place £27 for 72hr a short walk in to town where Shakespeare was born. There are 4 pubs 30 seconds away from this car park? I’m not kidding you if you wanna bar or a restaurant they are literally 30 seconds to a minute away. very quiet Stop over.and the butterfly zoo is worth a visit.

  • 4/5

Make sure you go into the sports club car park to avoid height restrictions. Stopped here for the day yesterday, short walk into town with lots to do in the area. If we was visiting Stratford again would definitely return to this spot. Only downside is can get busy so would recommend getting here early if you plan on visiting at weekends

  • 5/5

Excellent stopover. Pleasant setting on edge of cricket pitch (free game to watch!), bar & cafe, 24 hr public toilets 2 mins away. Loads of space but does get very busy. We arrived at 1 pm and found just 3 spaces left but it thins out from 4/5 pm. 6 vans overnight. 2 mins to Avon riverbank, 4 mins to town centre. Lovely friendly, helpful car park warden.

  • 5/5

I parked here Saturday night and with earplugs in had a restful sleep. Public toilets were open when I needed them. I felt safe enough.

  • 3/5

£14.20 for 24 hours. Was quiet until 3am when loud Asian music started blaring out from a car. Turns out there were about 50 people in some sort of wedding celebration singing and dancing. Would have been great to see in daytime but not in the middle of the night. A one off I would hope. The public toilets were a disgrace and should be avoided. Despite that I’d take my chance and park here again.

  • 5/5

Lovely park up on the recreation centre for £10. can also park up on the council car park next to it for £3.30. It says no coaches, caravans or motorhomes but, we were in a campervan and had a lovely peaceful stay. Toilets open 07:00-21:00. Right by the big wheel. 5 minute walk to the town centre.

  • 4/5

Nice spot close to town centre. We arrived 13:30 and the car park was packed with cars and a few motorhomes. Waited for a space and parked up. £20 for 24 hours. If you arrive after 4pm it’s a £10 for overnight until 10am I think. Came back to the van at 8am and reparked to a level spot. Plenty of space. Some distance music but other than that great spot. Public toilets nearby but not open overnigh

  • 5/5

USE SPORTS GROUND NOT RECREATIONAL GEOUND! Great park up and super close to the town centre. Amazing dog walks. £20 for 24hrs. Good 4G signal on EE. Quiet and safe. Dog friendly. Number plate recognition and pay by card at pay station.

  • 5/5

Sehr ruhige Nacht verbracht. Nur morgens ein paar Leute, die ihr Auto hier parken, aber alles gut. 15 Pfund für 24 h

  • 5/5

Excellent parking spot with open fields and canal next to it. RST is literally across the water. Stayed two nights with my dogs and pop over to see a show one night.

  • 5/5

Good park up - plenty of space and very close to town centre/river walks. Bonus of watching some cricket too if that’s your thing

  • 5/5

Excellent place to park; even for bigger vans. (>8m) Talk to the parking attendant (nice chap) and he was positively encouraging Mohos to stay. The longer you stay the cheaper it gets.

  • 1/5

Sign indicating no motorhomes. Go to 9 motorhome bays at Leisure Centre.

  • 4/5

Emplacement idéal pour visiter stratford, au bord de l’Avon. Il vaut mieux arriver tôt le matin ou tard le soir car surchargé. Quelques bruits de fetards dans la nuit car proximité d’un pub…

  • 4/5

stayed here Sunday night for 1 night, ideal spot for the town centre. cars coming and going until about 11pm but quiet after that. I would stay again if in the area.

  • 5/5

We only used it for day parking, but it's super. Nice Riverside walks, very convenient for the town centre and the theatre. Would use it again.

  • 4/5

Nice stay. £15 for 24hr. Toilets available from around 9am. Very busy on a Friday night due to cricket oval.

  • 5/5

Great spot, as close as you can get really to the town centre. A gravel overflow carpark was open at the side which we stopped in with one other van - £15 for 24 hours so not bad - No facilities but we’re self contained. No noise issues, would stay again.

  • 4/5

Stayed here last night. We've always used this car park for overnight in Stratford. Has always been OK in the past but last night could hear banging music until 3am. Think it was due to the fairground but it did spoil last night's stay. Hopefully the music isn't a regular thing.

  • 5/5

Overnight parking allowed. Super friendly security. 5 min walk into the centre. No water or emptying points. £35 for 72hours.
