Finally managed to get in here seems the same vans stay here for long periods of time,little bit of road noise but love the sound of the water once the roads goes quiet only one other van when I pulled in
Petit parking juste à côté de la route principale ..... Joli petit endroit pour passer la nuit si le bruit de la circulation ne vous dérange pas. Bonnes promenades le long de la rivière à partir d'ici
Small parking area just off the main Rd..... Nice little spot for an overnight stay if you don't mind a bit of traffic noise. Good walks along the river from here

910vx4413/04/2025Lovely and quiet, almost like being by the sea with the river and hydro noise. SO was on a course in Manchester so Romiley station a nice and short walk away.

Next to an interesting Hydro plant, which gave off a little noise. The road was quite busy until around 10.30 and then again in the early morning. Several vehicles used the track past the stopping place but no bother. This was fine for a night but nothing special.

Probably my favourite spot on here so far! Pulled up around 8:30pm only one other camper had some tea out the back of my camper & worked on laptop till late, road noise till about 10pm then all you can hear is the river flowing past which is nice! Traffic came back around 6am but wasn’t that bad tbh, really great spot would defiantly use again / only a 4 because no Bins around & road noise

Hot mid-summer day, only person here at 1700. A fisherman was just leaving when I arrived. Room for one mor van if you don’t mind being close and it leaves room for a couple fishermen in cars. I picked up the empty drinks can that someone had discarded..

Great spot for over night. A few cars went down the track late night but no bother. Did have a very loud bang on the van at around 11.30pm and went out to check, can only think it may of been wildlife or a possible disgruntled local on a late night walk, but didn’t see any one. Another van next to me who had no issues.

I'm a local and see a few MH parked here. There is some road noise but it's ok for a stop over en route. There is also a very large layby further up past the garden centre on the right (was the car park for the old disused pub).Not overly picturesque, but another stopover if the one before is full. And both spots are safe.
DnGgrandtour10/06/2023Nice spot, room for about 4 medium motorhomes. Ours is 7.5 m which had plenty of room. You can hear the nearby road but not that bad as the river helps with the road noise. 5g 3 network signal. Archimedes screw power station is also next to the parking area which is very interesting form of power for local residents. Good nights sleep. Dog walkers, cyclists and hikers use the area but no issues.

Road noise isn't to bad but very poor reception for Internet. Nice spot though
