Alles super, Parkplatz 24h besetzt, was uns mit einer späten Anreise sehr gelegen kam, Toiletten und duschen sauber, einem Wohnmobil Neuling wie mir wurde auch beim Grauwasser entleeren und Frischwasser füllen sehr geholfen. Alles in allem Top Service und Top Stellplatz, nur zu empfehlen

Endroit très pratique avec tout ce qu’il faut pour recharger le camping car. Le cadre n’est pas magnifique mais facile d’accès pour se rendre à Edimbourg. Et surtout George nous a très bien accueilli et nous a donné pleins de conseils. Encore merci

Unsere Fahrräder wurden nicht gestohlen. Personal super freundlich!!! Edinburgh sehr gut mit dem Bus erreichbar. Wurde uns alles bei Ankunft erklärt. Platz ist rund um die Uhr bewacht. Zufahrt war einfach. Dusche und WC waren in Ordnung. Haben Frischwasser gefüllt, Grauwasser über den dafür vorgesehen Schacht entleert und Toilette geleert. Würden wiederkommen.

Waren da mit 2 Autos plus Anhänger/Wohnwagen. Durften dort nicht schlafen, nur Wohnmobile erlaubt, stand leider nirgends in der Beschreibung.

Nice place to park for the night. Staff was friendly, George was very helpful in giving us instructions for the bus and sights to see! A little loud with the big trucks, but they didn’t disturb my sleep. Definitely would stay here again.

Area de servicios para camiones, permiten pernoctar a las autocaravanas. Dispone de duchas y wc (no están en muy buen estado) y servicio de vaciado de aguas grises y negras y también se puede cargar agua fresca. El suelo es muy irregular y bacheado. Es de pago. Válido para vaciar y recargar depositos pero para pasar la noche es mejor ir a un park and ride (el de Newcraighall está a pocos minutos)

Wir haben diesen Platz auf gut Glück besucht und es hat geklappt. Wir hatten eine ruhige Nacht. Jedoch stehen dort viele LKW die kommen und fahren. Der Besitzer ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Duschen und Toiletten sauber. Mit dem Uber sind wir zur Stadt reingefahren.

Y aller quand on privilégie le pratique et le pas trop cher pour une capitale européenne. Accueil agréable mais n'hésites pas à faire du surbooking en mettant les véhicules les uns derrière les autres, sans possibilité de sortir sans déranger celui qui bloque.

Fa perfettamente il suo lavoro: luogo sicuro dove lasciare camper anche grandi (videosorvegliato e presidiato 24/7); carico/scarico sempre disponibile e servizi disponibili. Il contro è che è davvero brutto, sotto una grossa strada in mezzo ad una zona industriale. Lo staff super gentile.

Perfekt, wir konnten gerade alles auffüllen, ablassen und der Besitzer war mega nett! Toilette und Dusche vorhanden. Wir haben nur den Dienst genutzt und haben 10£ bezahlt! Perfekt und immer wieder gerne!

excellent accueil. george est un monsieur adorable . il est très attentionné .nous avons passé 3 nuits au parc pour 90 livres avec électricité. Bus accessible en 5 minutes à pied pour visiter Édimbourg. Commerces et plage également proches. Prévoir cependant bouchons d’oreilles pour arrivée et départs nocturnes des camions.

Un muy buen sitio para dejar vehículo mientras visitas Edimburgo. Con todos los servicios, incluso duchas y a un paso del 26 que te lleva a la ciudad. George y David amabilísimos. Edimburgo una ciudad preciosa aún con tantísima gente. Para volver.

Très bon accueil de Georges. C’est un endroit surprenant car c’est un grand parking avec des camions. Nous y avons trouvé toutes les commodités annoncées. Endroit sécurisé et pratique pour se rendre au centre ville et au bord de la mer.

Aunque no pernoctes, tienen servicio de vaciado de aguas grises y negras, relleno de agua por 10£. La zona de agua negras está limpia y tiene productos de desinfección del baño químico. El personal es muy amable.

Kurzfristig für Zwischenstopp in der Stadt entschieden und netterweise noch ein Plätzchen bekommen, Staff super freundlich und hilfsbereit! Duschen und Küche völlig in Ordnung.

It’s a truck stop, don’t expect much. 30£ for a van with 2 people and electric. George was very cool! Gave a lot of info about Edinburgh, a little map and a recommendation for dinner! Told us to take the bus into the city, not our bikes, because of thieves, so we did! Easy enough! Microwave available, toilets & showers are okay! Lots of other campers, lots of activity in the morning. Felt safe!

Alles da, was es braucht für eine Übernachtung und Service mit dem Wohnmobil, aber kein Luxus. Damentoiletten und Duschen sind einfach (keine Steckdose zum Haare fönen), bei den Herren etwas besser. Untergrund ist ein Kiesplatz. Schön ist es nicht, aber für den Besuch von Edinburgh gut geeignet.

On peut arriver le matin pour garer sont camping car et ainsi passer la journée à Édimbourg en empruntant le bus 26 de portobello (5min à pied ) en 20 min on arrive à Édimbourg . Effectivement les sanitaires sont vieillissantes mais bien entretenues. Il y a une salle communes pour manger , faire la vaisselle. l’accueil est très sympathique. Plus pratique que de réserver un camping et moins cher

Können uns den vorherigen Bewertungen nur anschließen. Waren 2 Nächte dort, Personal sehr freundlich und die Anbindung nach Edinburgh ist super. Zudem ist der Strand super schnell in ca. 10 min zu Fuß erreicht. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, da die Sanitäranlagen in die Jahre gekommen sind und die Trucks z. T. auch noch recht spät abends ankommen, wodurch es laut werden kann.

Prima plek om van daaruit Edinburgh te bezoeken. We werden zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen uitgebreid uitleg hoe we met het ov in het centrum konden komen. Volgende dag bij vertrek van een oudere security meneer een zakje snoep voor onderweg meegekregen. ❤️ Douches en toiletten zeer schoon!

Anche se il posto non è bello (è un enorme parcheggio su ghiaia per camper, con accanto un parcheggio per camion, con grandi pozzanghere avendo piovuto molto) dò 5 stelle per l'accoglienza, la gentilezza, la pulizia, il prezzo e la posizione comoda per arrivare ai mezzi pubblici. George è una persona simpaticissima e cordiale. grazie George!

Es ist ein Schotterplatz auf dem auch Trucker stehen. Dusche und Toilette tatsächlich schon etwas älter bzw diy, aber sauber. Das Personal ist mega freundlich und hilfsbereit. 5-10 Gehminuten entfernt fährt der Bus ins Zentrum, alle 15 min . top Platz,ich würde es wieder buchen.

Einfacher, ebener, geschotterter Platz. Gedacht für Trucker, mit (in die Jahre gekommenen aber sauberen) Duschen/Toiletten und einem Aufenthaltsraum mit Waschbecken, Mikrowelle etc. Super nettes Personal & ein optimaler Ausgangspunkt für einen Städtetrip, da die Bushaltestelle, wo es auch einen Bäcker gibt, nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt ist und die Fahrtzeit in die Innenstadt knapp 30 Minuten dauert.

Guter Ausgangspunkt zum Sightseeing. Platz als Stellplatz gut, geschottertund überwiegend ebenerdig. Duschen und WC sauber, etwas in die Jahre gekommen. 6 Gehminuten zur Bushaltestelle (Nr. 26), dann 20-30min - je nach Verkehr - in die City (Princess Street / Scott Monument). Wir würden hier immer wieder her kommen….

Great stopover for Edinburgh it is spotlessly clean in the shower and toilet block and they supply to all your needs ie shower gel shampoo. It is all centrally heated so lovely and warm. The hospitality given by George and Davey are second to none asset to the company. It’s our go to now when going to Edinburgh in the Motorhome

Zoals onder beschreven. Alles werkt perfect. Wifi, lozen, water vullen, douchen, keuken. Maar het is inderdaad een truck parking. we zijn er om naar de stad te gaan met bus 26. George and Dave doen hun werk goed

Georges personne fantastique avec plein de bons conseils, nous avons pris un café au Twelve Triangles avec des pains au chocolat et des croissants délicieux, la plage est à 10 minutes à pied ainsi que le bus 19 et 26 direction Edimbourg en 30 minutes plein centre-ville. Par contre la nuit était un peu bruyante avec le périphérique à côté.

Situation parfaite pour aller à pied se balader et boire un verre sur le front de mer de Porto Bello ou pour prendre le bus n°26 pour le Centre d'Édimbourg. Sanitaires propres et pratiques, vidanges faciles Grand Merci à Dave et à George !!!, hyper gentils et accueillants - des personnes comme on aime avoir le plaisir de croiser la route !

Zweckmäßig und nah an Edinburgh. V+E, Strom und gutes WLan vorhanden. Aber der Lärm der direkt am Platz vorbei führenden Durchgangsstraße ist Ohrenbetäubend. Das muss man ab können.

Mittel zum Zweck. Ein sehr netter Besitzer, für 2 Nächte vollkommen ok. Man ist nicht weit vom Zentrum und zum Strand sind es nur 10 Gehminuten.

Bei diesem Platz handelt es sich rein um eine funktionale Angelegenheit. Die vielen LKWs und die Schlaglöcher auf den Dreckplatz, die sich bei Regen mit Wasser füllen, sind nicht gerade dazu angetan, sich in Ferienstimmung zu fühlen. Wenn man nur einen Parkplatz braucht, ist es o. k.

Wir waren froh hier gelandet zu sein. Super Platz, alles war sauber, Sanitäranlagen etwas älter! Es ist kein Campingplatz und daher sollte man so etwas auch nicht erwarten. Mit dem Bus in die Stadt waren es 30-40 Minuten. Mit dem Uber 20. Der Uber war auch nur 2-4 Pfund teurer als der Bus (2 Personen). Am Portobello Beach ist man zu Fuß in 10 Minuten.

George was very sweet and helpful getting into the city. The place isn’t appealing to the eye but we weren’t there to sit in our campers! We caught the bus 26 in town and stayed all day on the Royal Mile, at the Castle and then rode the bus up to Rosalyn Chapel. Have a drink at the Rosslyn Hotel bar and then catch a cab back to your camper since the bus back would have taken FOREVER!

Essenziale nei servizi ma completa, molto più economica di altre soluzioni nell'area di Edimburgo. Ottima scelta per fermarsi un paio di giorni a visitare la città. fermata autobus nr. 26 per il centro vicina (5/10' a piedi). Litorale di Portobello raggiungibile facilmente a piedi in 15', bella spiaggia, negozi vari e piscina coperta.

Haben vor der Rückgabe des Campers hier alle Tanks und die Toilette entleert, für 10£. Der Herr war sehr nett und für einen kleinen Plausch zu haben. :)

Fizemos apenas o serviço e foi ótimo. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelo George, segurança do local. Água potável disponível, fizemos despejos de água suja e cassete e tudo funcionou muito bem. Apenas para o serviço, custou 10 libras.

Guter Platz um Edinburgh zu entdecken, WC und Duschen Okay aber kein Luxus. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber.

Wirklich interessanter Platz. Hier bekommt Kuschelcamping eine ganz neue Bedeutung. Da stehen dann halt mal LKW's neben einem. Ansonsten alles sehr spatanisch, aber für 30 £ hat man alles inklusive. Das Wasser richt Großstadttechnisch ein wenig nach Chlor. Trotzdem im Verhältnis zu anderen Campingplätzen günstig. Bester Ausgangspunkt um entweder Edinburgh oder den Strand zu sehen.

Basic but fantastic & secure place to stop for a campervan stay. We stayed on our way up to Edinburgh & booked a spot for that evening. £30 for an overnight stay (includes electric, grey & black water emptying facility as well as access to showers, wc & stocked kitchen) 5 minutes walk to Portobello Main Street & promenade/ beach. George was an absolute legend & gave us lots of useful information.

Wir haben uns hier zwei Nächte sehr sicher gefühlt,waren morgens zum Frűhstűck und Hund am Strand austoben im absolut empfehlenswerten Portobello und sind dann auf bemerkenswert angenehmer und grűner Radroute nach Edinburgh mit dem Rad reingefahren. Guter Startpunkt für Rad Fahrer ist dieser Platz allemal.

Sehr guter Platz für einen Zwischenstopp. Wir waren für eine Nacht mit unserem Camper hier. Georg der Platzwart hat uns unheimlich nett Empfangen, und eingewiesen. Nachdem wir uns mit dem Landstrom versorgt haben kam Georg nochmal auf einen Plausch vorbei, erzählte uns von dem Strandleben und den Pubs. Er hatte für uns eine Tüte mit Schottländischen Minzbobons dabei welche er uns schenkte.

Ideal if you just want to drop grey and chemical,fill up for £10,,lot of potholes and dust blowing from the gravel,,wagons start rolling out from 7am,train track nearby,men's showers are good but ladies not,only used it for visiting son,wouldn't again for the price. Has drive over grey,standard chemical waste and hose pipe all on the right by office as you arrive.

Good place to get rid of all your waste and fill up. not far from Portobello where you can pay £4 each adult for a day bus ticket into Edinburgh. Nice walk on Portobello beach the following morning. Bit noisy in the early part of the night due to lorries coming into the park for the night.

The only camper stop in Edinburgh, with all services and toilets-showers. The only minus is that appart being among busses and trucks, is that the bottom soil becomes mud when raining.

Nice people there. It is very convenient to take a bus to the center. The bus stop is only 5 minutes from the parking. In 10 minutes you can walk to a train station and take the train to the center. It is really a truck parking place nothing fancy, the toilet and showers are old, but very clean. We stayed there 2 nights.

Wir waren mit unserem Camper dort und man wird wirklich so herzlich dort empfangen.Man hat wirklich alles was man braucht und wenn man fragen hat kann man denn Besitzer George ruhig fragen.Auch fragen zu guten Restaurant oder wie man mit dem Bus oder denn besten Weg zur Stadt hat sagt er einem sehr freundlich.er wird sogar angeboten Mahlzeiten in seiner kleinen Container Küche zuzubereiten.

We stayed here 2 nights for our visit to Edinburgh before heading to the highlands. The parking is very well connected to the city centre. We used the service of showers - which are hot and secured for women if it's the case, but they have a kitchen too. You don't have to reserve. The owners are very nice (really really nice), but a little bit expensive in our opinion.

Buon posto dove fermarsi per visitare il centro città, in bus è davvero comodo. È un semplice parcheggio ma c’è tutto, bagni (quello delle donne non è propriamente come in foto), docce, scarico e carico, lavandini per le pentole. Costa 25 sterline senza elettricità e 30 con l’elettricità. Un ringraziamento speciale a George, custode dolce e simpatico, e alle sue caramelle sempre ben accette!

Parfaite étape avant et après notre séjour à Édimbourg. Nous n’avons utilisé que les services pour 10£. Accueil très sympathique de George et son équipe. Si vous cherchez un stationnement dans Édimbourg après votre passage ici, vous pouvez aller vous garer Fettes Avenue, endroit très pratique et économique pour passer une ou plusieurs nuits.

Aire avant tout pour camions. Il y a quelques emplacements pour van/CC proches de la cuisine et sanitaires. Sanitaires convenables. Code d'entrée pour les sanitaires femmes. Proche d'une grande route donc beaucoup de bruits la journée, moins la nuit. Ça ne vaut pas les 25£ mais ça peut dépanner pour 1 nuit. Avantages : 10 min à pied de la plage commerces et 8min a pied des bus pour Édimbourg.

Op deze parkeerplaats staan voornamelijk vrachtwagens. 's Nachts is er best wat lawaai van verkeer. We betaalden £25 zonder elektriciteit. Voor de damesfaciliteiten heb je een code nodig die je ontvangt tijdens het inchecken. Toilet is oké, de douche heb ik niet gebruikt dus daar kan ik niets over zeggen. Ik vond het het geld niet waard, dus ik zou hier niet nogmaals gaan staan.

Malgré un premier abord pas top car il s’agit d’un parking pour cc mais également camions, la situation près d’un arrêt bus (2 pounds aller pour Édimbourg), l’accès à tous les services, douche, wc et petit plus l’accès à une petite cuisine avec micro-ondes en fait un très bon arrêt. Les bruits de la route s’estompent la nuit et les camions ne font pas de bruit en partant le matin. Un supermarché à proximité.

Trotz Trailerparks - sehr herzliche Atmosphäre und ein nettes Miteinander. Wir waren zwei Nächte und haben mit Elektro, Wasser und zwei P. mit Hund 60 pf bezahlt. Für Edinburgh Verhältnisse sehr günstig und durchgängig überwacht (und sicher!). Die Toilette und Dusche sind in Ordnung, das was wichtig ist, ist sauber und wird regelmäßig geputzt. Für einen Trip nach Edinburgh perfekt.

Ci siamo fermati per due notti in questo parcheggio attrezzato. Posto sicuro e tranquillo. Sono presenti docce e toilette pulite. A disposizione anche acqua per rifornimento van e possibilità di scaricare le acque sporche. È a 5 minuti a piedi dalla fermata del bus che ti porta in centro in 30 minuti. Il proprietario molto disponibile e gentile. Consigliato!

25 Pfund die Nacht (bar) ohne Strom- billig ist anders. Und hübsch ist hier auch nix, eben ein Bus- und LKW-Parkplatz. Dafür sind die Sanitäranlagen proper und wir durften am nächsten Tag bis 18 Uhr stehen bleiben, ohne dass das extra berechnet wurde. Der Empfang ist so herzlich wie beschrieben, George erläutert genau den Weg in die Stadt mit dem Bus (Station nah), welche Tickets man kaufen soll und welcher Platz im Bus der beste ist?. Idealer Standort für die Stadtbesichtigung also.

S’il n’y a pas de place chez Georges et qu’il vous propose le parking Morrissons, n’y allez pas et lisez les commentaires, ça n’arrive pas qu’aux autres.

Super Platz um Edinburgh zu besuchen, da es leider viel zu wenige Stellplätze gibt. Wir durften auch ohne Reservierung unkompliziert bleiben und haben zwei Hände voller Tipps für Edinburgh bekommen. Wieder ein netter Empfang und über Georges herzliche Art schmunzeln wir in Zukunft sicher noch ab und zu ;) Duschen/Toiletten sind ok. Wenn wieder Edinburgh, dann wieder zu George!

Je n'ai pas pu stationner car c'etait complet. Par contre j'ai pu utiliser les services pour 5livres. Et George m'a conseillé pour passer la nuit et recharger le gaz ! Un grand merci !!

Pas fiable! Même si George est sympa(sacré accent fort débit :-p). Appelé 3 fois 1) la veille: pas clair et très occupé 2) le matin (7:30!) à priori toujours ok 3) pour avertir de notre retard. Sur place, réservation pas notée, parking plein, George nous indique le supermarché Morrison (parking pas mal juste à côté bus 26 et 4).Payé 10£ juste pour plein d'eau vidanges eaux noires et grises

Un buen sitio , hay que llegar por la mañana porque es también para camiones, si llegas por la noche estará lleno seguramente , pero todas las mañanas sale gente , tiene todo lo necesario , duchas cambio de aguas seguridad las 24 horas bus a Edimburgo el número 26 y lo mejor george una gran persona te ayuda en lo que necesites si le preguntas te aconseja que lugares seguir viendo en Escocia

Für 25£ mehr als in Ordnung, dafür daß es ein "einfacher" Schotterplatz ist. Nur für WoMo und LKW's. Pour nous le meilleur compromis prix pour visiter Édimbourg : Georges est agréable.. on y reste deux jours . Bus (le 26) pratique pour rejoindre le centre ville mais aussi à pied vous avez la plage de Portobello, bien sympa.

Perfect place if you are going to visit Edinburg. We take the bikes to old city center, took us 30 minutes. George make us feel safe to leave our van. Clean shower and toilets! A stunning beach like 10 min walk. Best place for visiting Edinburgh!

George stond klaar voor allerlei vragen en info. makkelijk met de bus naar het centrum van Edinburgh. In de buurt mogelijkheid om gasflessen bij te vullen. Vraag maar aan George.

Sehr guter Platz für eine Nacht um Edinburgh zu besuchen. Hat zwar nichts schönes, ist aber sehr sicher, da bewacht. 25 Pfund sind nicht gerade wenig, aber Sicherheit ist ja auch etwas wert. Die Stadt ist mit dem Bus super erreichbar. Mit dem Fahrrad gibt es super Radwege bis Edinghburg. Personal sehr freundlich In Portobello (10 Minuten Fussweg vom Platz weg) einen super Sandstrand. gerne wieder

Der Platz ist nicht idyllisch. Wer eine Erwartung von Camping mit gemütlichem Ambiente hat, ist hier nicht richtig. Aber der Platz ist super, für einen Besuch der Stadt! Bei George steht man sicher und gut. Versorgung, Entsorgung gegeben. Dusche, Toilette ok. Danke George!

Wer einen schönen Stellplatz sucht sollte nicht hierher kommen. Der Platz wird hauptsächlich von Truckern genutzt, die diesen auch in den frühen Morgenstunden wieder verlassen. Mit Ohrenstopfen ist das aber kein Problem. Die Sanitäranlagen sind sehr einfach. Grau und Schwarzwasser Entsorgung möglich. Dafür ist der Platz Video überwacht,nachts sogar zusätzlich mit Security. Ein sicherer Platz.

Sehr nette Angestellte. Der Platz liegt sehr geschickt, um Edinburgh zu besuchen. Die Bushaltestelle ist in der Nähe. Sehr einfache Sanitäre Einrichtungen. Der Platz ist ein LKW-Parkplatz mit Möglichkeit des Stromanschlusses. Grauwasserentlehrung ist möglich.

Great stop off for visiting Edinburgh. Quiet overnight, clean toilets and showers and friendly security staff. Felt safe and comfortable to leave the van for a day in the Town centre. Short walk into Portobello for cafes, bars, beach and restaurants. lovely atmosphere at the beach and easy to get bus in and out of the city. Will use again!

Très bien pour une nuit pour les services et la proximité avec Édimbourg. 25 livres pour un camper van et 2 adultes (gratuit enfant) pour un emplacement sans électricité. À 10min à pied de la plage de portobello. Ne pas craindre le lieu, il s'agit d'un parking routier. Ne pas s'attendre à un spot seul avec vue imprenable ce ne sera pas le cas ! Mais répond très bien à nos attentes

Formidable arrêt pour laisser le véhicule en toute sécurité et aller à Édimbourg très facilement par bus 19 ou 26. Par contre très bruyant la nuit nous avons laissé notre van pour 3 nuits et sommes allés à l’hôtel merci Georges pour son accueil exceptionnel

parking sécurisé. accepte les chiens Grand parking ou camion et cc se retrouvent pour une nuit de sommeil. accueil chaleureux de Georges qui nous a offert le café .Un homme d'une grande gentillesse. bus pour Edimbourg vieille ville à 7 mn à pied puis environ 25 mn de bus le numéro 26 . le parking est à 10 mn à pied de la superbe plage de Portebello à Edimbourg. je reviendrai sans hésiter

Kombinierter Schotterparkplatz mit Schlaglöchern für LKW und Wohnmobile. Netter Empfang. Nachts ruhig. Morgens ab ca. 05:30 Uhr starteten die ersten LKW. Gute Busanbindung (5-10 Minuten zu Fuss) nach Edingburgh (je nach Verkehr ab 20 Minuten). Sanitär einfach. Ver-/Entsorgung vorhanden. Am 30.05. wurde die Stromoberleitung durch einen zu hohen LKW gekappt. Daher nur 25 £ statt 30 £ mit Strom.

Arrêt pour les services, 10£. C'est cher pour des services mais c'est la seule solution qu'on a trouvée à Edinburgh puisque nous n'allons pas dormir dans les campings. Le gars est très sympa, souriant, et nous a donné des petites gourmandises.

Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Kein schöner Platz aber erfüllt seinen Zweck. Gute Busanbindung nach Edinburgh und fußläufig zur Strandpromenade. Alles da, was man braucht. Wir haben uns sicher und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Sanitäranlagen waren jetzt nicht sehr sauber, das ist das einzige, was ich zu bemängeln habe.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von George begrüßt. Er hat uns alles gezeigt und gut erklärt. Wir stehen auf einen recht großen Parkplatz mit einigen LKWs. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Dusch/Toilettenanlage ist alt,spartanisch aber sauber. Wir bleiben mit gutem Gefühl zwei Nächte hier.

On est restés pour deux nuits. Comme précisé dans les autres commentaires, c’est pas l’endroit le plus glamour ou nature de notre voyage, mais probablement l’un des plus accueillant. Certe, il y a un peu de bruit de moteurs, mais on a quand même fait des nuits de 8-9h dans notre tente de toit. On reviendrait volontiers et on recommande

Buen sitio para dormir e ir a visitar Edimburgo. Personal muy amable. No hay que olvidar que es un aparcamiento de camiones, por lo tanto no pueden haber quejas ni de motores ni de ruidos, ya que nosotros somos un plus. Dispone de todos los servicios y de una pequeña sala con TV, prensa, librería, microondas, tostadora, calentador agua, pica para lavar los platos, duchas y todo muy limpio

Fantastic find, it’s not pretty but the office staff are friendly, it’s safe and out of the way, facilities all function. Please remember it is a truck park so engines will be heard, normally quiet from 10pm-4am. The number 26 bus is just over the foot bridge however if you have a family an Uber to the centre of Edinburgh only costs £8-9. Highly recommended

Hele vriendelijke eigenaren, ideaal om hier te overnachten voor met bus 26 ben je zo naar het centrum, 10 min stappen naar de bushalte. Vrouwen douches niet nieuw maar perfect warm water, heren douches vernieuwd.

La atención de George ha sido muy buena y muy amable,la situación del parking es buena pues en 20minutos en bus estas en el centro.La playa a 5 minutos. El porque no le ponemos 5 estrellas,pues es un entrar y salir de camiones toda la noche,lo cual duermes mal,y después el terreno está lleno de agujeros llenos de barro, ESPANTOSO los zapatos y las patas de los perros se ponen embarradas.

Fantastic park up for the city. It’s not pretty, but it’s functional and highly convenient and secure. And George, the day-shift guy, is an absolute gem. It’s a short walk down to Portobello Beach, and the 26 bus from the high street in Portobello (cross the walkway bridge by Euro Car Parts and when you get to the high street, turn left) will have you in the city centre in 20mins.

L'accueil de Roger est tout simplement génial ! Nous avions juste besoin de vider nos eaux noires et grises et remplir l'eau fraîche, ça nous a coûté 10£, mais il a presque insisté pour qu'on prenne une tisane ou un café (gratuit à volonté) et nous aurait même permis d'accéder aux douches si nous en avions eu besoin. Le site en soi est pas folichon, mais gardé et avec toutes les commodités.

A nice spot if you're passing by and need somewhere to sleep. Fairly quiet, friendly staff and good facilities (toilet, shower and kitchen) lost 1 star for the price as we were charged £30 and did not need electricity, and there were a few pot holes to contend with.

Es ist zunächst befremdlich das LKW und Schrottfahrzeuge auf einem Platz sind, aber der Vorteil ist die Busverbindung nach Edinburgh. Der Mitarbeiter ist extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt haben wir uns sicher gefühlt. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort um uns Edinburgh anzuschauen.

Einfacher, aber top in Ordnung. Wc/Grauwasser/Müllendsorgung. Frischwasser vorhanden. Duschen/Toilette vorhanden. Küche top sauber.30Pfund mit Strom. bewacht auch Nachts. Nach Edinburgh über die Brücke Richtung Strand dann in Busline 26 bis Princes Street.20minuten Fahrt. Personal sehr freundlich. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen. Vielen lieben Dank ans Team.

Perfecte plek om Edinburgh te bezoeken. Geen plaatje om te zien, maar het heeft alles wat een camperplek nodig heeft. Portobello erg leuk om doorheen te wandelen, en het centrum van Edinburg is half uurtje met de bus.

Arriving early afternoon allows you to take the favoured MH places on the left after you enter. Check-in before taking a spot. There is a direct bus to the city centre which also runs as a night service. Large drive-over grey water trough. Cassette needs to be emptied in the toilets and there is a separate hose (to the right of the reception cabin) to rinse.

Arrivés a 20h30, personnel très gentil, tout simple. Il nous a bien tout expliqué. Basique pour une nuit et visite d’Édimbourg demain , mais juste parfait ??

Wir sind zwei Nächte hier geblieben um Edinburgh anzuschauen. Das Gelände ist nicht schön, aber zweckmäßig und George ist sehr hilfbereit und nett!! Portobello Beach und der Bus nach Edinburgh sind in 5 bis 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

4 étoiles pour l’accueil super sympa des gérants, un pour le jour, l’autre pour la nuit. Ils placent les gens, camions, cars et camping-cars, ils gèrent tout et tant mieux sinon c’est vite le bazar…! Le terrain n’est pas beau mais il est fonctionnel, liaison bus à 5 mn pour le centre ville d’Edimburg.

Lieu qui fait le job, pas de jolie vue mais idéal pour une pause sur la route vers le nord de l'Écosse. Le propriétaire est très gentil. Les sanitaires assez grands. 25 livres sans électricité

Un muy buen sitio para pernoctar y hacer cambios de aguas. Es un área de camiones grandes, por lo que no esperéis el césped cuidado de un camping, pero tiene todo lo necesario para dormir cómodamente y estar bien servido. Además, el buen hombre que está en la caseta de la puerta es muy amable, simpático y servicial.

Had 3 nights here going to the fringe good stop you get some trucks in and out at night but not to much noise when we arrived i had problems with the brakes but Gorge on the gate called his mechanic friend and he came out and sorted them out. thanks

Me and my wife came to edinburg for three days. We looked for a camp site to stay. We end it up here. And we were very lucky that we found here. İt is very safe ( my wife forgot the caravan key on the door which it stayed all day long. Thanks god nothing happened bad. We recomend this place to all campers.

We stopped for one night for services & showers. Sounds like the men’s showers are better than women’s, but all clean & ok for one night. Empty of chemical toilet into toilet not ideal. Owners are very nice though. Bus to city quite long with lots of stops. Served the purpose for one night, but we used the park & ride for a couple more which was great.

Really convenient place to stay for a couple of nights. Get the frequent bus into Edinburgh city in 25 minutes. It’s not pretty but the toilet and shower facilities are nice and clean, the place is quiet despite the random arrival and departure of trucks, the grey and black water disposal is fine. Most of all thanks for the welcome and helpfulness of George, the chatty Scottish manager!

Charged £10 to use the waste and fresh water services. Easy to get to from the main road. The attendant is friendly. Just a bit pricey.

Normal camper & truck parking place. Really helpful stuff (20 £ without electricity + 5 £ electricity). For a motorhome user (with ita own facilities working) it is a very good place with 5 min walk bus connection to the City of Edinburgh.

Unschöner Trucker Platz, zwar Toiletten, sowie Frischwasser und Grauwasser - Chemie Toilette muss im Klo entsorgt werden. Mit 10 Pfund auch recht teuer. Frischwasser haben wir nicht genommen.

Georges est une personne très chaleureuse. Il est très à l'écoute car notre anglais est très moyen. Il nous a conseillé pour le bus, les visites. Merci beaucoup. Aire pratique pour le ravitaillement eau, électricité. douche et sanitaires accessibles.

Pongo dos estrellas porque fue el único sitio en los alrededores en el que pudimos cambiar aguas, aunque no fue barato, 10£. Parece un desguace, no hicimos noche, no parecía un lugar agradable. El dueño fue simpático.

As a lone female with kids and a newbie to motor homes, site great find. we were warmly welcomed after a delayed flight at nearly midnight.Site staff kind,helpful and breakfast/ drinks facilities are great like a home from home. Toilets and showers were lovely, much better than any big services.No smells/spiders. large parking/turning space and support available.Many Thanks from Portsmouth xx

c'est un terrain vague, lieu de stockage de camions et autres vieux véhicules. l'endroit est glauque... nous avons fait demi-tour. le camping du Sud coûte 30 £ la nuit, contre 20£ dans ce parking. évitez de perdre votre temps dans les bouchons en cherchant ce lieu.

Difficile dare un giudizio. È un' area di parcheggio e transito per truck in cui possono fermarsi anche i camper. dotata di tutti i servizi in buone condizione igieniche. George il gestore è troppo gentile e disponibile. A 5 minuti a piedi si trova la spiaggia di Portobello e i bus per andare in centro (ogni 10 minuti). ci siamo fermati due notti e siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti.

Solo hemos ido a vaciar y llenar. 10£ por vaciar grises negras y llenar agua me parece muy caro. El vaciado de químico se hace en el mismo WC de los camioneros!!! Al irnos nos dimos cuenta que nos habían cobrado 100£ y no 10£. Tuvimos que volver a reclamar. Cuidado en el momento de pagar!!! No volveremos.

We had a great stay for two nights. You can walk into Portobello and to the bus stop going to Edinburgh. George is a very kind host. It’s a truck/bus working place, but neither the noise of coming and leaving of trucks as well as the road didn’t bother us at all. We highly recommend the Spanish restaurant in the Main Street Malva Rosa.

Alles wir zuvor schon kommentiert wurde. Wir fanden es recht teuer für das, was geboten wird. Aber mangels Alternativen war es okay. Durch die abfahrenden LKWs war es morgens etwas laut und trubelig.

Wir wurden von George am Vormittag sehr herzlich empfangen und der zwei tägige Aufenthalt war einfach sehr schön. Der Platz ist einfach, hat aber alles was man benötigt und ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt nach Edinburgh oder an den Portobello Beach. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Wir fanden den Platz super um als Frauen in einer großen Stadt sicher und ohne Bedenken zu parken. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt Frischwasser, Abwasser- und Kloentsorgung, EHU und fußläufig eine super Busverbindung in die Stadt. Geplant waren zwei Nächte und wir haben um weitere zwei verlängert. Beim nächsten Mal würden wir wiederkommen!

We called in here today. No one around to recieve us, it is a working yard. There is lots of bumps all over the ground. Looks rather scruffy with all the broken vehicles parked up. There is an awful smell from the sewage system which is exposed . We wont be back to park up for the few nights allowing us to visit Edinburghs attractions. This parking facility is not attractive .

I paid 20£ + 5£ for electricity. Rather noisy from early in the morning till late at night. If you are lucky you can have a nice spot with a table/space for one, otherwise vehicles are rather squeezed. Nice beach and promenade in Portobello, 10 minutes walk crossing the bridge. When you continue straight on across the bridge, you pass a nice little bakery when crossing the main road.

Super Parkplatz! Durften mit unserem kleinen Opel zwischen den großen Lkws parken! Saubere Sanitäranlagen! Sehr nettes Personal!

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, vertelde veel over Edinburgh en gaf tips over leuke pubs. In de douches is voldoende ruimte om je spullen droog neer te zetten. Verder is het niet meer dan een parkeerterrein.

Accueillis par George, très sympathique. Lieu pas très bucolique mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut. 20£ la nuit sans électricité.

Veilige parkeerplaats met een ontzettend vriendelijke beheerder George. Toiletten en douche eenvoudig en schoon. Goede uitvalsbasis om Edinburgh te bezoeken. Verwacht geen luxe of een mooie plek om te verblijven maar goed genoeg om te slapen. Wij hebben £20 p/n betaald voor 2 personen, hond en camper.

Passés le 16/04 , accueillis par un Mr (cheveux court et sans barbe) . Il nous a réclamé 5 £ en plus les eaux grises, et 5 £ pour la cassette. Droit à une vidange , soit dit surveillés par des caméras ! J'ai dit que j'irai au camping, il a donc laissé tomber. Le lendemain un Mr barbu sympathique nous a laissé tout vidanger en nous indiquant comment faire et à prit les 25£ . A bon entendeur.

Stayed the 1 night in our Mazda Bongo £25 with electric hook up. Not a pretty site however, it got everything you need to get your head down. Security 24hrs, free toilet and showers. Pretty quiet at night. Great location, 10min walk to the beach. Would stay again :-).

Stayed last night is exactly as it says . Not pretty but spot on electricity, water and toilet disposal. Showers and toilets. We had a quiet night . Portobello is lovely to walk into . And the bus to Edinburgh spot on . Very helpful gentleman on arrival excellent hospitality.

un accueil comme pas d'autre par le gerand, Georges. il se plié en 4 pour vous, superbement accueilli. les services toilettes et douches propres et fonctionnels. a 200 m de la ligne bus 26 pour edinbourg. hyper pratique. vous êtes à portabello,ville balnéaire près de la plage. Le parking est sécurisé et vous adorerez Georges. bon rapport qualité prix.

Good value for money for a convenient stay. 15£ a night, 5£ with electricity. Safe (closed at night), welcoming and kind security persons, clean toilets & showers, grey water and cassettes disposal amenities. Not a pretty place, but convenient and cheap. Highway is very close by so it’s quite noisy, and trucks can come & go during the night.

L'emplacement n'est pas cosy, sur un parking riche en nid de poules et au milieu des camions, mais l'accueil est très sympathique et l'endroit est proche de bus desservant le centre ville d'Edimbourg. Par ailleurs, les sanitaires et douches sont propres et il y a une petite cuisine pratique. Nous avons payé 15£la nuit.

Fantastic value for overnight secure parking that's manned 24hrs. Clean and tidy toilet/shower block and a small canteen unit for washing up. Working Truck park so don't expect a holiday park (this was made clear prior to arrival). Plenty of space for self sufficient vans/campers but limited electric hook ups so if you need power ring ahead. Rates Oct - March £15 for 24hrs /£20 with electric.

parking parfait, en sécurité proche du bus 26 et 45 pour Edimbourg. accueil sympa avec tous les services même si cela reste un parking poids lourds. donc il ne faut pas rechercher une belle vue. mais pratique

stopped en route to Highlands. needed a shower. pulled in, paid £5 and had a warm shower. security chap was so helpful. we arrived at 11pm, he said it was totally fine. it was so welcome. it's a truck stop but they can supply all the stuff needed, waste disposal or water fill up all for small charge. safe to leave expensive motorhomes while exploring Edinburgh city Centre.
