New motorhome aire stopover, just established. Beautiful location excellent for a visit to Fort Augustus, there's nothing really park up wise in this area and it can be very busy! You can also stop off and serivce your van for £5 or it's £15 a night off grid of £25 with Leci. Originally the site was a field for cows but now we understand this venture very much helps maintain the farm with the income, which is a positive (farming is tough and much needed imo!) also learned that the hairy highland coos are back at the field. fantastic spot in this beautiful part of the world ☺️ pay by card or cash when the owner comes round to collect am/pm.

October 2024 We stayed for 2 nights. Fabulous! The aire was immaculate. All pitches have electricity if needed so there are 2 £ prices. Pitches are hardstanding and very well laid out so you are not too close to your neighbour. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. Superb, will definately stay again.
Arrêt pour la fin d’après-midi et la nuit, quasiment personne sûr le parking en octobre, 25 £ avec le branchement, tous les services à disposition pour le campervan, le propriétaire passe de manière un peu aléatoire sur le parc pour collecter les nouveaux arrivants, il est très sympa. A quelques minutes à pied du centre ville. Je recommande l’endroit
Awesome setup! £5 if you’re just passing through, and you can dump grey water, black water, trash and recycling, and even fill drinking water. The lots look nice and level, and all have EHU available. Highly recommend!
Slight price increase to £25 for electric hookup pitch. V clean and tidy setup a short walk from shops/ pubs. Well worth a stopover.

Emplacement parfait pour un camping car, il faut arriver assez tôt pour être sur d’avoir une place. Nous sommes seulement à 15 min à pied de Fort Augustus qui est une petite ville très relaxante avec une très belle vue sur le lac. 20£ pour l’emplacement, le propriétaire vient vous voir après que vous soyez emplacé afin de payer et ils vous expliquent où vider vos eaux usées.

Great spot beautiful view in an absolutely gorgeous Town – canals, lock ness - short walk to great shops and pubs down the road – pubs very reasonably priced drinks and food Spectacular views from the campsite – highly recommended – no showers no toilets– but there is a chem dump and clean freshwater.
We loved our 2 night stay here and the fact it was first come first serve too. I loved the highland cows and the owners were very friendly. Fort Augustus only short walk away. We had a fab visit would definitely come back. Great price too that reflects no toilets or showers.

Der Stellplatz in Fort Augustus liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums, da der Ort aber nicht groß ist, ist alles zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Viewpoint am Loch Ness oder die Schleusentreppe. V/E ist perfekt gelöst und man hat reichlich Platz.
Great spot. It's right next to the road so you can see if there's space, just drive in and the owner will find you for payment (card or cash). I paid £15 for the stay and services, but no EHU. services are fresh water, rubbish bins, toilet waste disposal and grey water disposal. Note there are no toilets. Although next to the road, it was extremely quiet.

Well maintained, large gravely pitches with grass, within walking distance to Fort Augustus centre which is lovely. Only downside is the proximity to the road. Good for one night.

Heel mooie locatie dicht bij het centrum en toch rustig. Mooie individuele plaatsen. Geen gedoe met betalingen aan een machine, iemand komt langs om te innen en die vriendelijke persoon geeft uitleg waar alle faciliteiten zich bevinden. Zeker een aanrader!
Wir waren hier für 2 Nächte. Der Platz ist sehr schön und man hat alles was man braucht. Mit den Hunden kann man dort auch schöne Runden drehen. Die Betreiber sind sehr nett. Das Zentrum und Loch Ness sind fußläufig zu erreichen.

New motorhome aire stopover, just established. Beautiful location. Individual bays, they are a good size with good space between them. Has 30 bays and at the moment over 20 of those have EHU (electricity) available. All other services are already there. Perfect for a few days to explore the area.
Magnifique aire d’accueil, le propriétaire est passé à 20h15. J’ai payé avec le « sans contact » . Grands espaces et tous services. Promenade possible sur la petite route qui part derrière l’aire, traverser le cimetière et continuer le chemin. Avons vu, un troupeau d’une soixantaine de chevreuils vers une maison un peu plus loin.

Nice little place. Road is fairly noisy if you park at the front. Not many places to stay around this area unless you stay in a lay-by. Fairly quiet.

Stayed for 2 separate nights with some wild camping in between during the same week. Great spot, has everything you need including a grey waste disposal soak away which I’ve never seen before. A great location for touring the area. Just park up and someone comes over to take your money. Can pay with cash or card.

We arrived late PM and there's a sign saying to just settle in, which of course we did. Very welcoming, and we are very grateful for places like this as we live fulltime in our van so it's nice to find somewhere just to hook up and do some chores.Dogs are welcome. Well done and thank you to the owners of this lovely , affordable Aire. Oh and loved their chickens roaming free..

Stayed two nights in freezing conditions, £20.00 with EHU, friendly and helpful owner offered to get us water as the on site tap was frozen. Great walks and local shops, will definitely be back.

Nous avons passé une nuit sur cette aire, c’était la première pour nous qui explorions le pays avec notre camping car de location. Le propriétaire est passé en soirée, nous avons payé 20£ pour un emplacement avec électricité. Nous avons pu recharger le camping car en eau et en électricité et vider nos eaux. L’emplacement est calme et dégagé.
We didn’t stay overnight but needed access to services. It was so easy to use and locate. Paid £5 through a barcode on the wall that took us to SumUp which I already have the app for so really easy. Option to pay in cash at an honesty box. We will definitely be back for an overnight stay. Great location and peaceful area.
Brilliant stopover £18 pn with EHU water refill and toilet empty. Location great (and safe) for walking to pubs and gift shops. Enjoyed our stay and would return.

Fantastic stay at Loch Ness Caravan park. We paid £18 for one night with EHU. No EHU would be £15. Owner is lovely and helpful. He was on site when we arrived so shown us where everything was and also answered questions about the local area. It was a short walk into the centre of Fort Augustus and Loch Ness. Would highly recommend and will be staying again if up that area.

Excellent site within walking distance of town. This site is the perfect example of how aires should be organised - flat, hardcore parking spots with loads of space so you are not on top of each other, electric if you need and an excellent services area with recycle bins, elsian and fresh water.
Great facility with well spaces pitches, all the facilities, on the edge of a pleasant village, for a very reasonable charge. Recommended.
£15pn, a short walk into Fort Augustus. Owner is lovely, came to check we were set up ok and popped back later to take a payment. Bins and toilet emptying. Close to the road but was so quiet and had the best nights sleep. Walk up the track away from the street light so see the most amazing stars!

I'm a car camper. excellent place, 1st come 1st served. Electric available via standard camp site power points at most pitches. Owner came around to collect my £18 (inc electric), has a card machine but it was playing up but cash is not a problem. Lovely place to stop, next to the main road but it was not busy, not disturbed despite my pitch being one of the closer ones to the road

Aire de stationnement de camping car idéalement située dans la dernière ville au sud du Loch Ness. A 15 min du centre très joli, où des croisières partent pour la visite de Loch Ness. Nice place to spend the night close to Loch Ness. We paid £18 for a campervan with electricity. First come, first served system, so no reservation possible. Owners come collect the money in the evening or morning. There is drinkable water, bins and grey water disposal.
Loved this place. A lot of amenities still to be put in, but owners are working hard on something that is going to be a hidden gem. Great location half a mile from Fort Augustus right on the banks of Loch Ness. Big Bays with lots of space for awnings and outdoor seating. Went for 1 day, stayed 2. Great site.

Super netter Betreiber, der oberhalb wohnt und zwischendurch das Geld einsammelt. Platz wird noch erweitert, daher wird hier auch gearbeitet. Vorderer Bereich aber fertig. Immer wieder gerne!

Great initiative shown here and for the money excellent. The site is nearing completion. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Nice walking distance into town saving parking fees. Only negative is the road can be nosey in the night from lorries. But you can’t have everything.

Slechts 4 sterren omdat de camperplaats niet af is. Ruime plekken voor zelfs de grote jongens. Toilet en douche moet je wel zelf aan boord hebben. Goede service plek om te lossen en te laden. De buitenring is voorzien van stroompalen, een nacht/dag elektra £3, parkeren £10. Eigenaar komt regelmatig kijken en afrekenen, cash of met kaart. Prachtplaat voor één overnachting of meerdere.

A work in progress. We stayed just one night on our tour around Scotland. It’s in an ideal place after the long journey. We needed water and the loo needed emptying. The owner was really friendly and we decided to stay the night before carrying on with our journey north. Had a lovely meal in the village pub. We would definitely come again. Will be worthy of 5 stars when completed.
Perfect stopover in lovely village. Self contained only and there were 21 Motorhomes/Campervans last night. Great phone and tv signal. It says ‘first come first served’ but they didn’t mind us parking in an unfinished pitch (dug out but no gravel). Friendly owner jumped off his digger to take payment. Great cycle route, pretty village on shore of Loch Ness. Will definitely come again!
10 pound voor een gravel plaats omringt door gras. Er is nu nog niet veel omdat ze in aanbouw zijn maar vriendelijke eigenaar die langs komt om het geld te halen. Klein stukje lopen naar het centrum, zeker wel waard.
J'ai mis 5* car pour 10£ on a le parking, les vidanges et l'eau. Mais l'aire n'est pas finie et les travaux avancent lentement. In fine elle devrait pouvoir accueillir plus de 30 camping-cars. Dommage que le propriétaire n'ait pas déjà planté des arbres dont la croissance sera longue.
Abends kam jemand zum abkassieren, schöner Platz, der gerade erweitert wird. Kinder durften auf Nachfrage überall auf der Baustelle spielen. Strom aktuell nicht möglich, Grauwasser kann auf Nachfrage in eine Baugrube entleert werden. Sehr nette Betreiber
Arrived on Friday and the weather was beautiful so we have stayed all weekend. The site is just perfect and although next to the road we were not bothered by any road noise. Really friendly owners and we will definitely return. Great place to stop and explore Loch Ness and the Caladonian Canal. Took a bike ride along the canal. We also took the cruise on Loch Ness and it was great .

Fantastic Aire in progress which when finished will be 5*. Only electric missing which is no issue this time of year. Not cramped, grassed areas to each pitch, water. elsan, rubbish and grey waste up and running. Main road wasn't an issue overnight. Cross the road and head through the Loch Ness Lodge Park to walk along the canal into Fort Augustus. Lovely.
sehr empfehlenswerter Platz, mit freundlichem Besitzer,wir waren 5 Tage dort. Von hier kann man eine wundervolle Schifffahrt über den Loch Ness machen. Allein der Ort ist schon sehenswert. Würden gerne wiederkommen, ist einfach zu weit. Gruß die Saarländer
Obwohl der Platz direkt an der Strasse ist, konnte man ruhig schlafen. Platz ist noch nicht fertig, daher kein Strom vorhanden.

Although still work in progress its an absolute ideal stop over. Currently its £10 a night,15 level gravel bays. No time limit to leave by which can be a problem if you intend to arrive early. There is fresh water, chemical disposal and waste area at the top of parking. Be careful when filling fresh water as its on a sideways slope. Overall more of these are definitely needed around the country.
Back again for another couple of nights. I have given full star rating this time as they now have a separate tap for cassette rinsing. Drive over drain is planned & work is underway for 15 more pitches which they won't be long filling if today's traffic is anything to go by. Great stopover.

Stayed one night 26/4/23. Not far to walk into Fort Augustus to see Loch Ness & the Caledonian Canal. We had a quiet night even though we chose a pitch next to the road. Would return again. Electricity being connected very soon as per the owner.

Sehr laut, direkt an der Hauptstraße. Kann man auch gleich auf einem Parkplatz an der Straße übernachten. Ich habe kaum geschlafen. In der Woche ist viel Verkehr. Inhaber kam Abends vorbei und sammelt 10£ für eine Nacht ein. Frischwasser, Grauwasser, Chemietoilette entleeren, Mülleimer ist alles vorhanden. Strom gibt es noch nicht.
Nice little spit by the road with minimum traffic sound. Water and recycling available but electrical outlets still not working and no spot for grey water disposal. The owner came in the morning to collect 10pounds, nice quiet spot overall!
Great little stopover. £10 for the night with facilities. Electric points still not working which was gutting but still a great stop and will defo be back again. The chap came round in the late morning to collect money. Lovely view of hills around. Near houses and road but no problems and little noise.
Excelente lugar para pernoctar. Junto a la carretera pero con poco tráfico por la noche. Todavía está en proceso de construcción. Grandes bahías para autocaravanas de grava rodeadas de cesped. Servicios de aguas negras, recarga de agua y depósito de desperdicios. Para las aguas grises todavía no hay sitio específico. El servicio de electricidad aún no funciona, está en construcción. Recomendable.
Great place to park up, only downside for us was the proximity to main road but not too busy on Sunday night in winter. nobody came to collect our money so we just put it in honesty box next to Elesan disposal. This place will be heaving in the summer I'm sure, great facility thank you!
Work is ongoing but perfect for emptying the toilet and filling up with drinking water. £5 recommended in honesty box. Electric hook-ups seem to be going in.
Der Stellplatz hat keine wahnsinnig tolle Aussicht. Aber hält alles was er bisher verspricht und wird in Zukunft Strom anbieten. Er hat eine super Lage für Wanderungen oder für einen Besuch in der Stadt. Der Besitzer ist super freundlich. Wir würden wieder kommen, es gab nichts auszusetzen. Absolut faierer Preis für Wasser, Entsorgung und Müll inklusive!
Spent 2 nights here. Great little stopover. Still a work in progress. Only reason I did not give five stars is that it did not have a separate tap to rinse the toilet cassette & a drive over drain for grey waste which would have been easy to do at the time of installing the elsan unit I would put these features above completing the ehu Short walk into the lovely village. Will definitely be back.
We stayed for one night, waste water, fresh water and recycling facilities available. Apparently electricity will be available sometime soon. Would recommend for a stopover!
Clean, water, chemical waste and bins. Safe and located centrally. Owner collects money. Unfortunately no EHU as yet. Loads of good dog walks.

Fantastic community run park up spot with fresh water, recycling point and waste dump. The UK needs more places like this. Will be perfect once they have the EHUs fully hooked up.

Stopped here for one night im September. Sign says someone will come and collect a fee in the morning or evening depending on when you arrive. Friendly owner.
Parked here for a night end of Aug 2022. Level, easy access for long vans, currently operating first come first served so just turn up. Owner friendly. Would recommend as not many other stop over places nearby
Couple with a 7meter MoHo. £10 for the night. No elec, water and Elsan available. Owner really friendly. Dogs allowed. Flat gravel pitches. Beautiful walks right outside. Excellent value, will use again.
A new project but yet to be completed.Stayed for two nights in August and soon to have EHU up and running.Currently £10 per night and an excellent stopover and easy walk into the hub at Fort Augustus.Well done ,great initiative and we will be back.
we stayed one night owners were very helpful, told us the electric hookups should be done by October, the pitches are level a bit of road noise but hedging is being planted by the road which should stop most of the noise, overall a nice site which we would use again.
Close to the main road. Enough spaces and level spots. A work in progress site with no toilets yet. Bins, Grey and black water removal, and a fresh water tap. Very friendly and helpful owners.
Sehr schöner Stellplatz der noch teilweise im Bau ist. So wie es aussieht wird es 13 oder mehr Stellplätze geben wenn alles fertig ist. Auch 10 Pfund sind für die Nacht günstig. Services bisher: Frischwasser und Chemietoiletten Entsorgung
