Lovely during the day but not advised to stay over as wardens were round checking on vehicles

There is a car park at the top located here, but the steep road down is fine. Watch for speed bumps. Plenty of parking in the first section, then there is a circular car park at the bottom. Benches and picnic areas. Lots of walking and cycling on the coastal paths, parks and town. Huge lawn. There is a height barrier when you leave the road.

park4anight5827/03/2025We were moved on by a council member, said that the barrier was going to be closed if motorhomes didn’t stop using this area. Was kind of glad to move as the smell from the sewage works was terrible.

Just pulled in for a morning coffee. The height barrier was open. plenty of parking spaces for our 7.2m motorhome. No signs prohibiting overnight parking. some droning noise from the factory / Mill at the harbour end. Nice view and walk along the beach. Looks like a good overnight spot, but we are staying on a camp site this week.
