Spent one night parked alone. Great pull in late at night when unable to cross mountain passes! Quiet road and you can tuck yourself away in the quarry. Signal if you walk up the hill.
Super endroit près de la rivière, de la place pour une personne mais aussi quelques autres petites places pour se garer plus loin le long de 8f, c'est occupé. Paisible, rien à dire impossible de se garer. Bin un peu sur la route. Belles vues.
Great spot close to river, room for one but also a few more small spots to park up further along 8f this is busy. Peaceful, nothing saying can't park. Bin down the road a bit. Beautiful views.
Toller Ort in der Nähe des Flusses, Platz für einen, aber auch ein paar weitere kleine Plätze, um weiter oben entlang 8f zu parken, hier ist viel los. Friedlich, nichts sagen kann nicht parken. Bin die Straße ein Stück runter. Wunderschöne Aussicht.

laurawright29/06/2025stayed for the night. absolutely smashing location. nothing but fields, sheep, lambs and a beautiful river. had the best stay for my birthday. lots of room and fairly quiet.

Lovely spot. Tucked away in old quarry. Great views. Road was quite well-used in the night when we stayed - wondered where everyone was going! Chatted with friendly farmer on his quad bike in the morning.
RACVelma12/01/2025Amazing spot to stay at with amazing views especially the sunrise. Nice and secluded spots. Few sheep shelter in the old quarry. No phone signal at the spot but you can walk up the quarry to get abit of signal and take some amazing pics from above. Minimal traffic and it's away from the road enough for any traffic to not be an issue. Not totally flat but not enough to be an issue. No signs present

A beautiful spot, very quiet. Ulpha bridge a mile down the road which is very busy during the summer months, with grassed areas right on the river. PLEASE NOTE... Very recently signs have been erected prohibiting camping & overnight parking. There are a few more spots along Smithy Brow which, as yet, don't have any restrictions.

Large space not totally flat. No phone signal, plenty of sheep sheltering under awning. Sheltered from rain, wind by the large rocks great So far so good Until you see that some individuals has emptied their toilet with all its contents, plus waste tissues, cigarette butts, tea bags and open fire remains in various places. We managed to get a spot away from the mess. Little/ no traffic after10pm .

Super secluded with several spots for multiple vehicles. Sheltered by tall rocks. Stayed here on way to climb Scafell next day, shared the spot with lots of sheep! A few signs of people having had bbqs but no rubbish. Quiet night’s sleep, near a river (but didn’t get the chance to explore). A bit tricky finding a totally flat spot but good enough for a night. No phone signal!

12/08/22 - Had a great night here! Space for a few vans. Nice walk to the river plenty of spots to chill and soak in the surroundings. There was unfortunately a lot of toilet roll scattered about. Got busy on the Saturday with undesirables with BBQ’s and litter.

Great spot for the night level ground and very quite at night we will be staying here again when passing. No phone signal
