Parking juste à côté de l'abbaye de Murrisk (près du cimetière) avec une vue imprenable sur la mer. Endroit très calme et panorama magnifique. En journée, il arrive que des cavaliers se promènent à cheval sur la plage à marée basse. Sinon, on y croise seulement quelques visiteurs du cimetière. De là, vous pouvez commencer la randonnée vers Croagh Patrick. Important : l'accès au parking est soumis à une limitation de hauteur de 1,90 m.
Il n'est donc pas adapté aux grands camping-cars, mais convient parfaitement aux petits fourgons.
Parking right next to Murrisk Abbey (next to the graveyard) with wonderful sea views. Very quiet location and beautiful view. During the day there are sometimes riders with horses who go for a ride on the beach during low tide. Otherwise only a few cemetery visitors. From here you can start the hike to Croagh Patrick. Important: to get to the car park you have to pass a height restriction of 1.90m.
So nothing for larger mobile homes, but only for small vans.
Parkplatz direkt neben Murrisk Abbey (neben dem Friedhof) mit herrlichem Meerblick. Sehr ruhige Lage und wunderschöne Aussicht. Tagsüber sieht man manchmal Reiter, die bei Ebbe am Strand ausreiten. Ansonsten sind nur wenige Friedhofsbesucher anzutreffen. Von hier aus kann man die Wanderung zum Croagh Patrick beginnen. Wichtig: Die Zufahrt zum Parkplatz ist auf 1,90 m begrenzt.
Daher kein Platz für größere Wohnmobile, sondern nur für kleine Vans.

LeoTrav07/09/2025Barriere war bei uns geöffnet und wir standen die Nacht alleine, viel Wind aber ansonsten eine schöne Ecke für eine Nacht.

Le spot est super, le terrain est plat. Il y a un robinet sur le mur du cimetière. En revanche, à la couleur de l'eau, nous ne pensons pas qu'elle soit potable.

21 juillet 2025. Super spot, vue sur l’océan, très calme la nuit. Avec notre T6 . 1 nous sommes largement passé sous la barre de 1 m 90, il restait quelques centimètres aucune crainte pour les vans de 1 m 99. Je recommande vivement. Wc propres sur le parking à 500 m du départ randonnée Croagh Patrick.

Höhenbeschränkung direkt an der Abfahrt mittlerweile auf 1,90 m runtergesetzt. Also noch nichtmal mehr für VW-Bus machbar.

Très joli endroit pour passer la nuit au calme face à la mer et au coucher du soleil. Hauteur limitée à 1,90 m mais les VW California camper passe sans problème. À l’entrée du village en venant du Sud, juste à côté d’une église en ruine. À proximité du village.

Fantastic spot by the water. Few people coming and going in the day quiet at night. Perfect for the Croagh Patrick walk. Toilets and rubbish bins at walk car park. Tap by Abbey. Height restriction was open.

Effectivement, on passe facilement (enfin pas avec 10cm non plus) sous la barrière. parking pas très plat. Belle vue ... avec quand même un peu de passage (promeneurs, visites au cimetière, ...). Mais dès la nuit tombée, on est restés tranquille. Nous étions 2 ce soir là.

11/08/2024 Barrera a 190 cm, que deuen ser uns 195-200 cm reals, vigilant per l'esquerra es passa...és bon lloc si pots entrar, per nosaltres punt d'inici de la pujada a Sant Patrick

Tranquilidad infinita, vecinos silenciosos... Pasa de largo por delante cementerio y aparca delante de la entrada del campo. Obiamente respeta el espacio para el agricultor y recoge tu mierda. PD.- Hay un gifo en la puerta del cementerio con agua!!

Great little spot for a one night camp by the Abbey. Nice and quiet and a view of Croagh Patrick from the Campervan. Only low lying vans can park here as there is a height restriction barrier at the turn in for the Abbey. No toilet only a fresh water tap by the graveyard. Lovely views, Clean and quiet.

très bon spot.. nuit très calme devant la mer.. accès avec barrière de 1.90 m mais notre van de 2 mètres est passé facilement..

Lovely quiet parking area, Abbey to one side and beautiful water views to the other with a jetty. Height barriered. Water tap at the Abbey but we didn't use it. Lovely walks as walkers till around 9pm. Lovely seating benches provided. Campbells pub very near to walk to but unfortunately not open. The Tavern too far on a busy road.

We looked at staying here but it felt a little exposed and public. As it happens the height barrier is now 1.9 metres although we had about 10cm clearance above us (VW). We moved on.
