Toilettes disponibles. votre garé loin du garage à côté d'une rivière entourée de bois à droite, très calme, bel endroit pour camper pour la nuit. les gens sont sympathiques et font la promotion de nombreux endroits à Alston pour les touristes. beau

Sie parken abseits der Garage neben einem von Wäldern umgebenen Fluss auf der rechten Seite, sehr ruhiger, schöner Ort zum Zelten für die Nacht. menschenfreundlich und fördern viele Orte in Alston für die Touristenseite. schön

A very convenient stop for a night in Alston. Level parking with a few potholes. Close to road but not busy, even on a Friday night. Path down to river next to the parking which looks pleasant and frequented by dog walkers. Not the prettiest stop but convenient if you are visiting Alston. Better than the car park next to the playground further up the hill.
An ok, but not great stop in (muddy when wet) parking area adjacent to garage which is active from 07:00 onwards. A few other cars and a lorry present during my stay so not v private. Nearby Castlenook farm shop on A689 (£5 a night), a far better bet.
Useful stop-over close to town. Space enough for 4-6 campers. Spar supermarket and fuel station close at 11 pm. Toilet facilities in the shop. Breakfast roll and coffee only £3.50. Pretty dog walk through woods down to the river. Friendly pub, the Cumberland Hotel, a few minutes’ walk away. The road is very quiet at night.
