Owners were friendly, we rung up in advance to check they could take a camper van which they said they could but when we arrived the toilet and shower facilities were bolted shut and closed. We could not stay for this reason. The owner wasn’t aware they were shut which was bizarre. Not really suitable for campervans.
Nice reasonably priced camp site the only chance of getting level is at the top of the touring area even there you need large chocks. The best access is from the north the other access past the castle is narrow overgrown and steep. Fairly close to the ferry so we dumped our waste and filled with water for our onward journey to Bute. Pay at the farm cash only about 1/4 mile away.
Sind hier für eine Nacht geblieben. Inhaber sehr nett und freundlich. Weg zum Platz sehr eng. Platz selber ist gut mit Strom versorgt und nah an den Sanitären Einrichtungen. Diese sind in die Jahre gekommen. Für den Toilettengang oder auch mal heiß duschen reicht es aber definitiv. Toller Ausblick auf die Bucht. Wenn man keinen Luxus oder höheren Standard benötigt, ein netter Platz.
no es sitio para autocaravanas, para llegar tienes un camino asfaltado en el que solo pasa un vehiculo, si te viene otro de cara tiene que hacer todo el recorrido marcha atras. yo he pasado mi Ac de 7,30 y ha sido muy peliagudo. no lo aconsejo para nada, hay otros lugares
Lovely site, plenty room although levellers are needed. Clean toilets and showers, somewhere to empty the loo and fill up with fresh water. Lovely friendly owners. And all for £20 a night including electric hookup.
quiet site between wemyss bay and largs. hard gravel standings with ehu. parking in middle tier of caravan park, toilets/showers easily accessible via steps. slightly dated but very clean. £20 inc electric. water, waste etc. recommended park up...
Moeilijk bereikbaar, douches en toilet gedateerd. Wel mooi uitzicht, als het niet regent. Kosten 20 GBP incl. douche
Ca. 10 Stellplätze in einem mobilen Wohnpark. Stromanschluss, Wasser, Abfalleimer vorhanden, Entleerung Chemietoilette möglich. Toilette und Duschen vor Ort, jedoch in einem sehr alten Zustand. Dafür entschädigt die wunderbare Aussicht. Tolle Spazierwege und der örtliche Golfclub fast direkt davor.
Freundlicher unkomplizierter Telefonkontakt. Stellplätze reichlich schräg. Es liegen Steinquader zum Aufbocken bereit. Sanitärbereich sehr altmodisch, aber alles funktioniert. Für Kinder wohl eher langweilig. Immerhin sehr ruhig, umstehende Wohnwagen sind (Mitte Juli!) leer abgestellt. Und schöne West-Aussicht von hoch über dem Firth auf die Inseln. 18 £ mit Strom ist vergleichsweise günstig.
