Picturesque, but not ideal spot. There is good shade on one side that shields from evening sun, but the entire lot is exposed to early morning sun/heat. Can hear road noise (it’s only 10 meters away). But we had good service with both EE and Vodafone, and there is access to a bucolic dirt road for walking.
Stayed one night, mid week July-25. No bother at all. Road a tad noisy but not bad over night. Nice view of the white horse. Good walks from the car park where we saw deer and hares in the fields.

over all a good overnight spot, good signal on o2. cars in and out of the carpark playing music till just gone midnight. they parked well away from us and we got no hassle, then quiet til first dog walkers at 6.30
Level at the bottom of the car park, slightly slanted at the top but not too bad. It’s on the corner of the road which is fairly busy, and cars hit the cats-eyes as they go round the corner making it pretty noisy.
Lovely little car park. No charge, no height barriers. Bins available, nice path to ho for a walk however is next to a busy road.
It’s close to the road and there is some noise from cars zooming along although it was pretty quiet for most of the night (until about 7am). There were two other vans also staying there - I think it might be a bit flatter on the bit furthest from the road, we were on a bit of a slope - nothing drastic but noticeably not flat.
Very close to a noisy road (cars go fast late at night and early in the morning) but otherwise no problem, and the place is even.
Although by main road it’s relatively quiet with plenty of space. Mainly dog walkers and walkers. Waste bin by entrance.
