Didn’t feel safe to stay the night as the lay-by has a very fast road on one side and a cliff edge on the other. I also saw remnants of fireworks so seems like people might hang out here in the evenings. Lovely to stop off and enjoy the view over lunch though!
Absolutely stunning sunset! Felt safe-ish but a little exposed and quite a few cars going past until late in the evening. No trouble when we were there though!

Great view of Edlingham Castle + Viaduct. Facing the right direction for watching the sunset. Two benches also.
Stayed here while visiting family in Alnwick, it was a clear night and you could see every single star! Ground is on a slope so make sure you get your parking angle right. Little waterfall nearby which is great for an early morning freshen up!
