21 hard standing pitches for vans etc. Nice new toilet and shower block which was lovely and warm. Only thing missing is a drive-up grey water disposal. They have a drain round the back of the old toilet block, fine if you have a removable tank but no good for drain taps.

Fantastic site. Great team, cafe, well-stocked shop. New toilet and shower block is superb.

New toilet, shower, and wash up facilities built recently. Overall, I would say it was worth the price. We arrived late and all the pitches were full but we were happy to stay in the carpark (at a reduced price) as we had everything we needed. Very nice vibe, would happily stay here again, either in a tent, camper, or one of their glamping pods.

I’ve been here 3 times because we loved it the first time. Great campsite vibe, on-site pizzas, location to great pubs and also walks to Kinder Scout. Unfortunately the last time we went was a disappointment, albeit slightly out of season, it seems they were very limited for campervan spaces unless you booked for hard standing and the facilities are fairly dated.

Nice location but expensive for what it is. Facilities were very basic, the light kept going off whilst I showered which was annoying. The site was being developed when I stayed and was like a building site when I arrived. This was never communicated to me prior to booking and no discount was offered.

Stayed a few nights. Location convenient for local walks & amazing views. Overall we found this site expensive for what you get. Especially price per night for a dog, when there's nothing for them! Facilities still awaiting upgrade and had to take cold shower as wasn't any hot water! Basic facilities, but no laundry area or anything. Cafe was OK - also expensive. Pub over the road was fantastic!

Not quite sure why the bad reviews on here, but glad we went! Lovely showers, nice facilities, great pitches and friendly staff. Great location as well. Highly reco!

  • 3/5

Great location and a friendly reception. Non electric pitches aren't great - they are right in front of the much more expensive pitches ( we split the view of at least 2 other campers) and the pitches all slope - you won't get them level. Toilets and showers very basic. Men's toilets and showers smelt strongly of urine (think football stadium toilets) and the shower was lukewarm. £24 off season?

Stayed for one night with my dog. Check in was quick and easy, everyone was really friendly. Had a problem with my electrics on the van, the 2 lads came to help me out. Can't fault the place. The weather was bad and they let me stay a few hours after check out while it cleared. Can't fault the place or the staff.

2 night stay for £54 for 2 adults without hook up, clean and hot showers and toilets, nice clean campsite with cafe and shop. nags head across the road serving homemade food. Lots of different walks from this location would recommend.

  • 5/5

Ideal for walking Mam Tor/Kinder Scout. A slightly sloping site with some serviced and some unserviced pitches. Good cafe and bar onsite and a local pub 50m away.

  • 4/5

Nice site well situated for walking. Clean facilities and hot showers.

  • 3/5

Bien, mais en pente et pas de vidange des eaux grises.

Fantastic site. Level. Amazing views and great walking. Cafe/restaurant on site open from breakfast till dinner and food is superb. Pub over the road. Site showers and loos being updated

Lovely little campsite, booked last minute and it’s not too busy (as expected for an October Monday night). Great view of the hills around and lots to do nearby. Toilet block very clean.

Great campsite, I've been here for 4 days just to park my motorhome while I was Wildcamping in the hills. They charged me just £7.50 a day to park up and leave for 4 days. Nice little café which they're currently expanding.

Great campsite for exploring the Kinder scout 11 mile circular route. Good clean amenities through out. Currently has a nice cafe which is to be turned into a bistro for evening use.. Outdoor pizza van is open Thursday Friday Saturday. New shower block under construction.

  • 5/5

Wonderful little campsite and even though it was practically full on the Saturday night, the noise levels were kept to an absolute minimum. We stayed on a HSWE pitch 2 adults and a dog and payed £58 (£25 per night including electric, showers and enough room for an awning. And £4 per night for the dog). The hiking in this part of the world is spectacular and well worth a trip.

Stayed 3 nights in November, lovely and peaceful. plenty of beautiful walks in the area. Good cosy pub right next door and a nice village shop too. Also a cafe attached to the campsite which looked nice.
