campervancastaways16/04/2025It’s a beautiful area & view from the parking, but we walked to check this out 16/4/25 and there’s a hand written sign attached to a cone saying “no overnight parking”.

endroit calme avec un joli parc a côté. Des commerces sympas et un fish and chips chez jack excellent. Pour le parking éviter de mettre plus de 3 ou 4 petit camping car ou van , les places étant pour les personnes prenant le ferry. Cela permettra de conserver le droit d'utiliser cet endroit calme et sympa. Merci

EML10106/08/2023Great place. The first ferry during August is at 09:15. I left at 08:10, before the workers had arrived, but the 6 other vans weren't awake. I suggest leaving by 08:30.
SophieNey26/07/2023Super endroit, calme au bord de l'eau. Bien pour pêcher. Il faut cependant partir tôt le matin pour liberer la place aux nombreuses voitures qui viennent se garer pour prendre le bateau.

Very much a come late leave early spot so as not to annoy the local workers. But we had the most gorgeous night there. Level and quite and a lovely short walk to the beautiful village! Really loved it. There are gorgeous walks around the area. They are doing a fantastic job with the village as a whole. Will definitely be back.

Un petit parking bien tranquille avec une belle petite balade pour rejoindre la petite ville. Les gens du port nous ont demandé de ne pas stationner sur l'esplanade mais plutôt le long de la route d'accès sous les arbres pour ne pas gêner les voitures. L'accès au robinet d'eau est tout à fait autorisé mais il est préférable d'attendre le soir lorsqu'il n'y a plus de voiture pour ne pas gêner.

had a beautiful peaceful evening here, found a level place to park, 6 other campers, but very quiet, had a good nights sleep. The area got very busy just after 8am, next morning so best to be moving on around that time. Good wifi reception, freshwater tap nearby, excellent park up to explore the village just a few hundred meters away. also a nice small park area. There is a Service station,

Il y a actuellement des travaux de réfection du chemin menant à la ville. Craignant un réveil matinal et bruyant , nous avons préféré nous installer dans la forêt.

Endroit sympa pour y passer 1 nuit, petit sentier pour accéder au centre ville, avec quelques points de vue sur la baie et ses phoques. Un point d’eau.

Stopped a night here very tranquil quiet spot. Asked at the ticket office and they were fine about overnight stop as long as we’d bought tickets for the ferry and left first thing. Car park very busy in summer daytime.

We stayed here on the 2nd and 3rd of April. It was lovely and quiet and very sunny thankfully. Quiet pier generally but busy at times for Garinish ferries. Plenty of free parking on the pier and just above it too on the road. Fresh water tap below the ticket box. Pubs very nice, Bernard Harringtons Pub was our fav spot had great sing song session there but the other pubs were lovely also.

peaceful spot at night, good shelter, it's under construction so I hope there'll be room for campers after that's done. trucks park here to sleep too. we stayed on pier 2 nights (early season), went to garnish island during the day. carpark will be very busy in summer for the ferry. steps across from ferry office to a woodland path walkway that leads up to town. public toilets next to Quills.

Parked up end of Jan, was peaceful, calm and felt very safe. Well lit and just us! Very pretty views in the harbour come the morning and I would defo recommend this spot for a stop over if running the west Atlantic way!

7m motorhome, very quiet nigt, public tap to fill up water, well lit area.Ferry closed until April so hardly any traffic. some small litter bins in the village too. can recommend a stopover here.

Quiet spot with freshwater on tap. Filled our tanks after dark when harbour was quiet.
