Spitfire Park is a 400-acre former RAF Spitfire base just off the South West Coast Path near Perranporth, Cornwall.
With spacious grassy pitches in a field next to an old control tower, this site has all sorts of adventurous activities to try out. During your stay, options may include parachuting, flying lessons, skid car training, archery, pistol shooting and hangliding; there are also dual-control cars where the over-12s can learn to drive in a safe environment.
Activities aside, this is a handy place to park yourself: there are modern toilets, showers and washing-up areas as well as a café and a kids' playground. The coast is within easy walking distance and the closest sandy beach is a five-minute drive down the road in Perranporth.
After soaking up some sunshine by the water, head into the town centre for supermarkets, pubs, cafés and souvenir shops. Want to leave the car at home? You can also travel between the site and Perranporth by bus.

Stayed here, two vans here for two nights a few months ago, lovely location and walk to the coast and down into the local Coves, loved hearing the planes. Didn’t need EHU. Showers had very little power, toilets were good but l’occasion is lovely so would stay again.
Abends angekommen… schwer zu finden… keine Menschenseele da… kein Wasser kein Strom ….. absolut nichts und dafür mussten wir auch noch 20 Pfund bezahlen. Absolut frech
Arrived and there was nobody there. Someone said just to sort it out in the morning so we stayed the night. The power didn’t work to the shower block so there was no showers or lights to the toilet at night. The toilet dumping was easy and clean but couldn’t find the grey water dump (if there even is one). $25 for the night, I thought was expensive considering the power situation.
We stayed early September. £11.50 per night and our dog was allowed too. Great campsite all round
dogs not allowed so it's a no from us, looks lovely if you don't have a dog !
Lovely place we stayed here for one night with no drama’s what so ever, they have shower facilities and toilets
Great place large field black water .showers toilets. Close to town ground pretty level wach the planes take of Nice views we paid £17 for the night in our 7.3 meter motorhome
