Looks like a reasonable place to spend the night although traffic is fairly dense and large vans or motorhomes might struggle to get in or out when there's other cars parked.

  • 4/5

A small carpark off the road & layby. Toilets are open 24/7 & no lock on males. Also no loo roll & can see that being a regular occurrence. Some litter about the car park, I would say it's semi-regularly maintained. Ok for a night & definitely worth donating to keep this spot open. Dogs barked in the farm yard nearby and a surprising amount of traffic used the road at night, at speed.

An ok spot to park up for the night. Quite quiet as a whole, nobody else was there when we stayed. Toilets were open to use. Not in bad condition, only thing was the male toilets didn't have a lock but wasn't too much of an issue.

Good for one night. Better for smaller vans! Really nice pub in the village

  • 5/5

Great nights stay no issues and toilets are back open would stay again . Small park up but there is a lay-by across to fit bigger vans .

2nd time I've stayed here. Room for 4 vehicle, very quiet and there are toilets (currently closed) - However it does flood in rain. village is lovely, with a nice pub with friendly locals up the road.

OK overnighter. Very quiet. Toilets currently closed due to repair.

We turned up late there was already a van parked up and asleep by the looks of things. It is actually a nice spot, amazing that it’s run just by donations. The reason we’re giving this 3 stars not 5 is it was SO muddy! We stepped it out the van to let the dogs go to the toilet and didn’t realise. They were caked in mud.

Lovely stop off toilets are open 24-7 a donation box as no set rate, lovely morning views

  • 5/5

Great spot. Here from 9pm on a Friday, pretty quiet! L3 H2 van can get in easily. I haven't needed to use the toilet, so I can't comment on that. I have some 4g signal on Three.

The Spot lays nice but the toilets and trash area are really not clean at all. Rubbish all around the Toilet house and people start pooing near the tree next to the house. Would be a cool little spot if clean - but not like this.

Small parking lot with toilets. Great spot for small vans the toilets are open all night and quiet night too. Gets busy in the morning as it’s a start of hike. There’s a few parking spaces at the other side of the road. Donation box please keep this space clean and nice as it’s a great free spot well maintained. Wouldn’t fit big campers

good luck with getting a motorhome, even a relatively small one, into the carpark itself. but the layby opposite is fine but not flat. the traffic is getting busy this time of year but that doesn't particularly bother me. only spending a night here. Immediately across the road is the start of the lathkildale path that is utterly beautiful. The toilet block closes around 5 will definitely return.

Pro: There are toilets, the ground is solid and level, lots of space, quiet at night Con: Plenty of cars and larger vehicles (contractors) speed by until late at night (11-12) and start again early in the morning (5-6am), it was very noisy. Maybe good for sleeping inside the car, but would not stay again with a roof tent. Also there is no view whatsoever. We stayed here Monday/Tuesday night.

echoing others, a good space close to walks and the pub in Monyash, which is a friendly local, serving good food. I would say 3 would be the max in the parking area, but lay-by opposite also good. please leave a donation.

stayed for 1 night, very peaceful, lovely nights sleep. Toilets open 24hrs, donation box by the toilets. theres also a lay by opposite that is used by motorhomes overnight, will definitely return.

we stayed for 1 night at the end of October. realy good spot for lathkill dale. we left a donation in the honesty box. Will definatly use again.

Fantastic stay here. Perfect for walking off into Lathkill Dale. 5 mins walk to the pub in Monyash. Really quite and peaceful night. Will most definitely stay here again!

  • 5/5

We passed a lovely peaceful night here. Sign does not say anything about night parking. We left a donation in the honesty box. Toilets open all night. Right at the start of a beautiful walk which we did in the early evening.

    No overnight parking.

Lovely place to stay for the night ,we tucked away in the right corner of the car park under the trees it was very cosy , no one was there when we arrived around 20:00 . Hikers started to arrive around 8:00 am donation box right next to the toilets .Very quiet overnight . The place run by the community, worth to live some generous donation .

Nice stop for the night, toilets were open and clean. Thankfully no interruptions, though the locals do seem to like to honk their horns as they drive past, including in the middle of the night.

  • 5/5

Great stop. Toilets open all night and quiet at night. Bulls Head in monyash is superb! Good food and nice friendly staff. read about the local who sometimes visits but luckily he stayed away!! altogether a nice stop.

  • 3/5

Great parking spot only issue is that I had a Karen shouting at me and moaning that I’d spent the night and tried to intimidate me into putting £20 in the donation box threatening me and telling me he’d taken my license number

Stayed her Wednesday 6th July 2022. Walked up to the pub & had drinks. When leaving in the morning c10am we were stopped by a local and told not to park here. The toilets would be closing soon as they didn’t want responsibility for them anymore. It was a nice spot only spoiled by the morning encounter.

  • 4/5

Great parkup. Room for 4. Toilets had lighting, paper and flowers, obviously looked after regularly by locals. Popular place for walkers, no issues at all. Gladly left donation in box. Pub short walk away. Definitely stay again when we're in the area

  • 5/5

Toilets open, nice a quiet spot to ourselves.

  • 3/5

Good lil spot, no signal however so not ideal for remote workers!

  • 5/5

Perfect place to stay if you want to get down Lathkill dale early. The toilets are functioning and much appreciated but bring your own loo roll. No service or data but the Old Bull up the road has free wifi. I wasn’t bothered at all all night and had the place to myself. Even the road going into Monyash was mostly empty through the night.

  • 4/5

we stopped last night , yes it's a small carpark but we reversed in (7.5mtr) no one else here and there was still enough parking for cars but we didn't see anyone else , a few dog walkers parked on road layby. very quiet and toilets were closed until 14th January. left a contribution in the box ☺️

  • 3/5

Toilets currently out of order and a giant speed bump prevented us from getting in to the carpark - not suitable for an even slighly lowered van. Really good spot for some though!

  • 5/5

Wonderfull place run by the locals, right next to the Lathkill Dale walk. Toilets open 24hrs again run and cleaned by the locals as the Council wanted to close it. Run purely on donations so if you use it please leave a donation or it will disappear. More suited to smaller vans 2-3 max depending on how they park. You need to reverse in unless it's empty
