Great location. Gates locked at night which made it safe. No facilities, public toilets nearby. Quiet overnight £15 per night.

Arrived 17:00 Cafe closed but the weather was a bit drizzling. reversed parked and opened the rear doors onto a great sea view. perfect for long dog walks. slept like a log. no traffic noise, will definitely be back when staying at Frinton on sea.

Stayed here on a Tuesday day/night. Maybe a little pricey but we made use of the beach, nearby park and went for a couple of long walks so fairly worth it for us. And lovely to wake up to the view! We just about fit our 7.4m camper but the car park was only half full when we arrived. And we were the only ones who stayed the night.

Parkplatz komplett mit PKW zugeparkt. Nur für kurze Wohnmobile geeignet.

Arrived Sunday at around 3 pm gate locked and cafe/tea room shut. No one around. Luckily managed to park up not far from here but wouldn’t trust this spot to be open again.

  • 4/5

Stayed here Monday evening, very peaceful and a wonderful view out to sea, only downside was the gate is locked at 19.30 and you can’t leave if there’s a problem

We stopped for one night and agree with previous comments - great view. Had a quiet night.

  • 5/5

Excellent stop over £15 from when you arrive to 10/11 am the next morning, short walk to beach toilets and they looked like they were open all night but I wouldn’t take this as a guarantee, there are taps nearby the beach huts to fill up bottles, we had a great view tucked up by where the ticket guy is located there is also a bin there if needed,

Now £15 per night as of June 2023. Still a lovely spot and there are toilets and a water point nearby but it does feel a little expensive for what it is.

    locked up, 6.00 pm.

This site was closed when visiting January 2023. Gate was secured with a padlock.

Gem of a spot. Fairly level pitches with excellent views. Lots of bins and toilets nearby plus cafe, takeaway and shop within 5 mins walk. Lovely beach walks and the Naze itself (large country park with lots of trails) is only 10 mins walk. Very quiet. Only one other van there when I stayed (early Sept). Possibly to sit out with table and chairs and enjoy the sunset, or take a morning swim.

    amazing views of the sea!

A fantastic place to overnight at the quieter and nicer north end of Walton. Kiosk guy opens the gate at about 09.00 and locks it at 19.30. £10 for all day and night. They try to arrange things so the vans get the sea views but this can mean a little juggling about as cars use the cp overnight too as people stay in the beachhuts below. One of the nicest spots we have stayed

Arrived late afternoon, car park was just about full. Little hut with prices on was all shut up, cafe was also shut. Signs up saying gates would be locked at 7.30pm, unfortunately we could not risk not being able to get out if we needed to, real shame as this is a nice spot. can others advise if gates are often locked, nobody around to ask.

Great spot!! Says 4 campers max but there were 5 already here when I arrived. Asked the man in the cafe and he said it was fine. £10 for all day and night parking! Perfect! Gates locked so safe, and no noise other than the waves!! Would definately use again if in the area!!

  • 4/5

Stayed on the 29-July and it was very peaceful just the noise of the waves all night, recommended. Cost is now £10 day /night.

Really sad to see my fav camping spot is still shut. Car park locked up. Travellers were on the field next door and looked like they had been for a while. Hope this site reopens one day.

Went there this week and the barrier was down and the cafe was boarded up. It’s out of the way so meant quite a few extra miles to find somewhere else.

  • 5/5

It's right next to a playground which my son loved! Be prepared to move at 9 if you haven't budgeted for parking the next day.

  • 5/5

A perfect place to stay! we took our converted van on its first night away here, stunning views! Nice a quiet, gate shuts at 19:30. Tearoom and beach on doorstep! Toilets a short walk shutting at 20:00. Definitely returning!!

  • 5/5

Just spent two nights here - fantastic! Plenty of walks and even managed a swim in sea! Recommend. Chap at kiosk collects cash, or Dave in Tea Room. Definitely return. It is £8 per night

  • 5/5

Along a coast that generally doesn't welcome motorhomes/campers, this is a true gem. We paid £12 for 2 nights. It is very busy and room for only 3/4 vans and only up to 7.5m. Great walks to the Naze reserve, the Tower (£3 entry pp), WW2 memorial park and great cycles into Walton and Frinton. Award winning beaches and a great vibe. Perfect spot and highly recommend.

  • 5/5

Lovely place to spend the night. Quiet, and great views. Have edited the description to include car park times - it opens at 9am, although there's a guy swings by before that to collect rubbish and empty the bins

  • 5/5

A secure carpark, (locked up at 19:30) less than a minute's walk from the sandy beaches and only fifteen minutes gentle walk to the famous fossil hunting beach beyond the Naze tower. Dog friendly beaches and plenty of things to do and lots places to eat here too. A million miles away from busy/noisy Clacton on sea which is just a six miles down the road.

Initially staying one night, now definitely two maybe three or even four if weather continues to improve. £8 for 24 hours. Lovely spot on top of cliff looking out to sea and along the coast. Pay at the cafe down on the beach. Walk into town about 15-20 mins. Toilet 5 mins walk away 0630 to about 9pm. Great pie & mash restaurant. In town.
