We stayed overnight on 1 Sept 22. The parkup is located on the outside of a bend on the A338 and we found the traffic noise to be very very loud until around 1am. It was then quiet until around 7.30am when traffic noise started to build up again. The layby was also being used as an HGV overnight parkup.
Not busy that often, it’s on an ‘A’ road but it’s not that noisy. You’ll need to be self sufficient as there is nothing around for a few miles with the nearest shop being in Porton.
