This is a beautiful park up - hard standing, pretty flat. Amazing walks along Pennine way. Great place with a dog. Few cars in the day - heard nothing at night. A Farmer came past rounding the sheep up and had no problems with us being there.
Be careful !i stayed stuck at the beginning of the road from the south, on 20.08! don't come if your car is long and heavy too. My little truck is heavy, no so long. a young walker with a van vw transporter black, help me to save my home ! if he read this, contact me for thanks and present.
lovely spot next to river, half gravel half grass, mostly leveled, stunning views, 8min drive to pub, no signal at all
Peaceful spot though very windy.
Great spot next to a small river, a waterfall in the background and you can get to the pennine way to take a walk here. We stayed for lunch and had no trouble with midges.
J’avais repéré ce spot pour m’y poser pour la nuit. En soi, oui, l’endroit est idéal personne à des kilomètres, seulement des moutons et le clapotis de l’eau ! Par contre… j’ai été accueilli par quelques moustiques qui resemblait assez aux fameux midges écossais… J’ai donc diné là, au milieu de nulle part, totalement hors réseau, puis j’ai repris ma route (prévue le lendemain matin vers le mir d’Hadrien) et j’ai trouvé mon spot pour la nuit. Une petite étoile en moins pour l’accueil insoupconné… parce que sinon, l’endroit est topissime.
Found this spot late at night and what a place to find. No one else for miles around except the numerous sheep and birds. Nice and quiet and perfect for a stopover.
Such a lovely quiet and peaceful spot, only saw a handful of cars. A farmer pulled in to check his sheep but we were the only ones parked here and not a single car went past in the night. The area is stunning and I’m sure if you leave no trace then locals don’t mind vans pulling up here for the night. Great walks around the area!
Great Spot. Lose the sun early, nice and quiet thought-out the night, no signs of other previous campers apart from a few tyre tracks, please leave no trace and take all litter away.
