mid week stay, large relatively level car park in the woods. Would have been perfect if not for the fact its super busy with doggers- cars were coming and going (literally) every 10 minutes, and slow creeping past looking for their next bit of fun... gave up on any chance of sleep and left at 1am, found a roadside lay by 5 minutes away on a small quiet road and finally got some kip
I'm local to the area and this is a notorious dogging spot as people have said.. however I use it late in the week and the only real users then are occasional overnight lorries. no phone signal but that can be a blessing sometimes. absolutely rammed with dog walkers from 8am but everyone is friendly. nice place to have a little morning walk around before moving on.
Not a bad spot apart from it being one of the biggest dogging spots in Nottinghamshire. On the up side in the morning the place is rammed with dog walkers but there's also a food van that does a very good sausage and egg cob and a coffee

nice wood, car park quite big,space for many cars, great spot for having a rest during the day, but not for a night, because this is clearly a dogging spot.
parking en forêt calme propre. je me suis juste arrêté pour manger le midi. présence d'un food truck très sympa quand je suis passé.
loads of space, no one else there at all, very quiet surrounded by trees. But no phone signal at all !!! (ID mobile). Mobile food wagon arrives in the morning along with a boisterous crowd of diners horses and dogs. Even though there is 30 to 40 people there is still plenty of space.
Lovely wood with lots of space and level ground but absolutely PLAGUED BY DOGGERS... Best to find somewhere else if you want to get to sleep before 1am.
Definitely a dogging car park, as clarified by the guy who asked us (repeatedly) if we knew what went on there! X'D Also has a burger van that arrives at about 7am and car park then fills up quickly with dog walkers. all that said, we politely declined the invitation to join the gentleman and were left alone. very quiet night and no issues what so ever.
