An ok stop over. Lots of trucks just drove in and straight out again even though there was plenty of space to park up for the night. Lots of rubbish left by inconsiderable people. Nice view of the water.

Large quiet layby. room for several trucks/motorhomes. no services. Beautiful views across the bay.

oafish118/06/2025Nice views but no walks plus no access to beach area due to nettles and large rocks. Best for getting there to sleep. No real dog walk but can let it go for wee in very small wooded area.

Very quiet and peaceful night, traffic going past was minimal not a problem. Pleasant outlook over the water. Would stay here again.

Spent a wet and windy night here. The lay-by itself is peaceful with lovely view but it is close to the A75 so a little noisy. Good mobile reception which is definitely a bonus. Nearby Creetown has cheap diesel

Not the cleanest or quietest layby I've ever parked in but just the job for an overnight stay. no bins or facilities but cell coverage is fine.

This is such a beautiful park up , fab views & so peaceful even behind the busy road. No bins so please take your rubbish with you

We only stopped for a few hours over lunch, but as far as lay-bys go it’s a fair one, with a nice view across the water. Signal was good on Three/SMARTY.

Shared the park up with two other campers and a van. The road is noisy throughout the night but that didn’t bother us. Lovely situation right beside a tidal estuary. Would stay here again. Annoyingly one of the campers allowed their grey water to drain onto the road - NO DONT DO IT things like that will get us all a bad name

Lay-by close to a fast moving road. However, trees provide shelter from noise. The traffic dies after 9pmish. Easy enough access to a pebbled beach, no bins, fair amount of refuse in bushes and on the beach verge. Creetown, few minutes drive away, Premier shop for groceries, the hotel where they shot The Wicker Man is also here, although, devastatingly closed when we visited. View = boovilant lv2

Pretty views, good 4G signal but there is no afternoon shade and the road was noisy all night. In the morning there was some shade and it was pleasant.

close to loch but very rocky so not really walkable. no bin or anything else. is away from road shelter behind trees

Lovely little lay by. Covered by trees and a view of the water. Only downside is there is no bin.

Lovely view of the river cree and secluded from road by trees. fairly level. other lorries and vans so felt safe. peaceful apart from road noise which was less busy through the night. on the south west coast 300 route so a good spot for those travelling this route.
