A really nice little place to park up for a night or two! Some good views from up here, also has a bin and a bench to sit at! Very quiet and not much noise

a beautiful spot, overlooking Weston Super Mare, with a bin and a bench. just have to roll the dice as to whether the local muppets come and practise handbreak turns and do time trials in their junkyard project cars till the early hours

It's a lovely spot, and we had a quiet night, with two other vans on a Sunday night. But the multiple boy racers that kept coming back and playing "chicken" with each other, made it an uncomfortable evening. At one point, they even made contact with each other's bumpers, with one trying to push the other backwards. Horses are riding along the lane, and a horse box arrived at 9am.

Great park up close to WSM, lovely views and very quiet location. Road not too busy and lay-by is pretty large. Great phone signal, too. Some teens did show up about 1am, but they weren’t too disruptive, unlike like the hoard of horse-riders who, with no thought for people parked here were shouting, had their vans running and spent ages trying to park in the same space … VERY early in the morning!

Simple flat spot with great views. Cars come and go in the night, more than you would expect for a old country lane. Coming in from the north is very tight. Experienced country drivers only. Alternative is come in from the west where the road is a bit wider.

Its a beautiful place with lovely views. if you have a large or an old van like me beware the hills to it are very steep and narrow with few passing places. Enough room for 3 large vans or maybe 4 smaller vans, its a long way to come to be disappointed

Our first time staying off grid, thanks to Park4night and its contributors! And, what a fab find it was! We needed a pit stop (arriving at 03.20 this morning. Small grassed area with a bench and an interesting map of the Mendip Hills. next to a country road, no noise. Would recommend and return.

Great spot to spend the night. Flat ground, couple of cars coming and going in the night but never any real hassle. great views

One night's free friday night stopover, as mentioned by others, several cars came and went, one at 2am with very loud music, however none of them bothered me or the other campervan. No problems, slept well, recommended. Flat ground, no bins or amenities, just a peaceful night's sleep.

Great spot, can get busy sometimes with other vans and cars parked up but no trouble other than that.

  • 4/5

Stayed last night, beautiful view of the town, very quiet only issue was tight for parking with a few of us :)

  • 5/5

Nice & quiet on a stone flat carpark, slight slope. No facilities. Great view north over the wall to sprawling suburbs of WSM. Wales is visible across the Bristol channel on a sunny day. O2 reception is low. Quite country road with a bridle way nearby for dogs/walk. Youths in a couple of cars on Friday night and a bit of litter, which we picked up. Really very peaceful compared to WSM seafront.

Lovely spot with great views, peaceful night and morning, as others have mentioned some young people in a car turned up in the evening but didn't stay long and were no bother at all. This was midweek so not sure what it is like on weekends.

Looked like a great spot however 3 cars with teenagers there when we pulled up (on a Monday evening around 8pm), smoking w**d. Decided not stay :(

  • 4/5

Lovely little spot on a country lane. It is a popular spot with the teenagers so don’t be surprised to see a few cars tipping up. There was group here when we arrived who left when they saw us pulling in. Another group arrived around 11pm, no music but lots of talking and left around midnight. After that it was deadly silent, no traffic until around 7am and it’s not a busy road.

Spent last night here 11th May 2024. Fantastic views and not too difficult to access. satnav stopped too soon but kept going. On a normal night would be perfect. Parked up about 7pm then one other van just after. Then from 10 until 2am it was crazy with cars and vans trying to get here for northern lights view. Would definitely recommend. Cleaned just a few bits of litter on arrival.

  • 3/5

Beautiful spot. Unfortunately we had to leave at 4am because some teenagers turned up playing loud music and revving their engine at about 3am… we thought they’d move on after a couple of hours but they didn’t, so we did…

  • 5/5

Great views, we managed to get reasonably level and it was quiet overnight after 11pm. We'll definitely be stopping here again!

  • 4/5

Beau spot mais attention, il peut y avoir des évènements locaux qui utilisent le spot : bloqué aujourd'hui pour une marche (nous sommes passés à 18h), impossible d'y rester donc

  • 4/5

A little bit tight on the way up with overhanging branches etc, but a reasonably flat parking spot with lovely views. We had a lovely sunset! The road forms part of the West Mendip way, so plenty of walkers and cyclists in the morning.

  • 4/5

stayed one night. quiet over night but popular with walkers in the morning.

  • 5/5

Great spot for the night very quiet and great views on the morning too

  • 4/5

Flat spot with amazing views. Quite tight to park and narrow roads, and popular with walkers on morning.

  • 5/5

Nice views and space for a few campers. Some chavs turned up around 8ish but realised it was busy and left.

  • 5/5

Nice and quiet, beautiful view, plenty of room for multiple cars or vans. Some young people hang out but don't stay late. Flat and peaceful

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet night, shared spot with 2 other campers, plenty of space. No noise had a lovely peaceful night sleep, amazing sunset and great views for breakfast. Only negative is a very narrow steep road to get here

  • 5/5

lovely spot we stay here often. it does get a lot of young people in cars untill about midnight. other than that it's lovely and quiet

  • 5/5

Fantastic spot. Monday night. Couple of cars early on and then so peaceful. Morning vista is beautiful. We were the only campervan.

  • 4/5

Stayed one night. Not a bad spot. great views over weston. As stated by someone before the local chavs use it as a place to smoke weed. Werent too loud apart from a small group at around 2am but aside from that not a bad place at all to park. Will prob stay here again.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet place to park with no problems. park most nights in my t4

  • 4/5

I stayed here last night, it was super busy with cars coming and going. Think it might be a popular spot for the kids to come and smoke. They werent disrespectful and only one of the 5 vehicles, that came and went between 9pm till gone midnight were playing music loud enough for me to hear but only as they parked next to me.

  • 5/5

Quite and secluded. 1 other van there when I arrived last night. sorry if I woke you up!

  • 4/5

Spent one night here. very quiet. undisturbed. narrow road to get to and out. Nice views

  • 4/5

It’s up a long quiet windy country lane. When you get there it’s a wide lay-by. A beautiful look out picnic spot, very a peaceful. Room for 3 large or 6 smaller vans.

  • 5/5

A reasonable sized lay-by. We are 7.5mtrs long and fitted with 3 other cars. Quite narrow approach but it was worth it as lovely quiet night.

  • 5/5

Lovely views to North (and south if you walk back down the road). Right on tip of the hill. Great spot. No bin so take your waste away with you.

  • 5/5

Quiet lovely spot. Stayed for 1 night no trouble. Just 15 minutes from Western.
