Spot panoramique, signal téléphone 2bars silencieux. J'ai passé de nombreuses nuits ici. Pas pour les timides si vous passez le col. Accès facile par le sud. Endroit merveilleux et splendide. J'ai séjourné ici en hiver, mais la neige peut en empêcher l'accès!

Met onze bus van 3500 kg was de pas net te doen. Vooral het stuk dat vlak na deze parkeerplaats komt, was behoorlijk steil. De banden slipten een paar keer (we hebben niet meer de beste banden en het wegdek was nat). De interessante Romeinse opgraving ligt nog geen 100 meter verderop. 's Nachts is er weinig verkeer, maar 's morgens begon men toch al vanaf 7.00u voorbij te komen.
my god , nice adrenaline pump , especially when the van couldn't do it at second gear, got stuck on e a steep hill , managed to start again from handbrake, arrived on the scene sweated , foggy all over , worth it tho in general, good two bars of Internet, quite stable
very steep hill to get to this spot, amazing views on a clear day 2 or 3 places to park up lots of sheep very peaceful sleep.
Amazing place to stay. Signs warning that road is just for cars and light vehicles but coming from Eskdale direction found it an easy pleasant drive up - great visibility ahead and plenty of passing points. Slightly more wiggly going down the other side but as long as you trust your brakes some stunning views. Road was very quiet overnight and views were incredible
I’ve stopped here twice, once with a roofbox tent in January at -4 degrees and the second time in a camper van, both times incredible would highly recommend, road gets quiet after dark too, great for that alone in the wilderness feeling.
Brilliant place to stay, not for the faint heart coming from eskdale side but lovely drive. There’s a few different places to stay up on the top, no light pollution and beautiful views
Quite spot by the Roman Ruins also if you look up jacks rake (pavey ark) it is a close by. This is a grade 1 scramble and there a a tarn at the bottom that you can swim in if your game
Hard road to drive up, wouldnt recommend new drivers. But camping is perfect, inside a big valley, we got a spot next to the stream. No mobile coverage o2
