Dreamy parkup! Water tap, beautiful beach, super quiet at night. Height barrier was open when we went.. woohoo!

  • 5/5

Brilliant park up. We stayed 3 nights from 11th September and just happened to be a music festival on in the town which made it even better. Amazing beach friendly locals. Fresh water tap there also not a screw tap though so you need a container or bottle to collect water. Hight barrier not in use vans or all sizes there

  • 5/5

Stayed 3 nights, very peaceful and nice place to sit out some horrid weather. Porta loos gone as it is the end of the season. Lovely walk around the coast on the beach into town where there are some public toilets which open Tuesday-Sunday 8am (not sure of closing time) plenty of rubbish bins and recycling for glass and cans. Parking area is hard standing.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

    Très belle plage

  • 5/5

What a fabulous location. Has two chemical toilets, waste bins, recycling (which are all regularly serviced) a water tap and the height barrier is open. Used regularly by locals for dog walking and swimming so please keep the place clean and tidy and park suitably. It is immediately on the beach which is spectacular and huge! Had a very peaceful and safe nights sleep along with another six vans.

  • 3/5

Used to be a lovely spot, whilst staying we watched 13 motorhomes from one group roll in & park for the night, locals had few left, & the one trash can was overflowing, now the barrier was being used last week after 7pm, maybe large groups travelling together should go into organised sites and pay for parking as the groups are spoiling this privilege, we are getting this feeling all over Ireland

  • 5/5

What a beach, probably best we have been on around the wild Atlantic Way. Huge beach , so beautiful. Does have height barrier as mentioned but as others have said it was open and we stopped for a beach walk and dog walk. Highly recommended to see the beach

  • 5/5

Great spot for the night. No barrier when I was there (24/06/2025)

  • 5/5

Barrier still open 11/07/25. Great area for an over night stop. Bin, water tap, portaloo type toilets, short distance to the beach. Quiet and wasn’t overly busy even though there was warm weather. 10-15 minute walk to the town area.

  • 5/5

great spot. parked on grassy area beside the car park which was set back from the lane and quieter. lovely beach for morning and evening swims. clean toilets. the barrier was open and there were about a dozen campervans in total.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

    Fortunately still no height barrier.

  • 4/5

Schöner Parkplätz, zur Zeit noch ohne Höhenbeschränkung. Ziemlich viel los. Toiletten (Toitois) und Wasser vorhanden. Nachts relativ ruhig.

  • 4/5

Grand parking.

  • 4/5

Come across the golf course via tarmac road then opens up to car park. No toilets now but fresh water. Walk straight to a beautiful beach. Spent one night and we were all on our own. Very very quite lovely sleep. Toilets are 3 mins away in small town by the pier. ( Dunfanaghy) No vans over 2 meters from 1st June to 1st September. 4 star as now no toilets but a lovely place to stay .

  • 5/5

Excellent beach. Water tap and bins. We didn’t park here for the night as it was quite packed seeing it was Easter weekend, but filled up with water and parked while we walked the dog. Much quieter Tuesday. We parked at the new car park on the edge of town, also spot on. Great Easter weekend. Lots of eateries and pubs to choose from. Spot on place

  • 5/5

Another fantastic beach park up, incredible beach, great signal, bins and water. There are height barriers at entrance but not presently being used.

  • 3/5

Our fault really for not doing our research - the jazz & blues festival was on so everywhere was packed, but this place just didn’t do it for us. Perhaps normally when there are less people about it could be nice, the beach is lovely. We were also woken up at 5am by someone rocking the van - not kids either so extra creepy.

  • 4/5

Beautiful, quiet location beside the beach. Perfect place for a sea swim and we also had a fire on the beach which was lovely. Only us and one other campervan for the night so very quiet but it was quite windy which could be heard at night. 2 portaloos but, they were full and had not been emptied in some time and so had to to ‘Bear Grylls’ it. Overall a great spot and will definitely be back.

  • 2/5

Although sign says 2m height barrier until mid-sept, it was open, so parked up. The noisiest and most disturbed sleep so far. Youths in multiple cars coming and going all night, doors slamming, yelling, etc - terrible! About 4 other motorhomes, 2 seemingly gone overnight.

  • 4/5

Ideal location, as for the 6th of August the bars were opened. Chemical toilets so full you cannot use them anymore. Bins & water, close to the beach but covered from the wind. Flat. Good for a night and day on the beach!

  • 5/5

Great park up. Lots of activity and coming and going. Huge beach and somewhat protected from the wind, by the dunes. Many, many vans, MHs, caravans and tents here over the weekend. Can’t help think that the 2m barrier may be used again soon. Toilets, bins, and great 4g make this the perfect spot for a few days.

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great location for an overnight. Right next to the beach. Very quiet. 10 minute walk to Dunfanaghy to the pub. No toilets. There is a tap.

  • 4/5

Brilliant park up at entrance to beach. Nice flat car park with water tap, bins and recycling. Couple of other campers here at the same as us. Really peaceful nights sleep. Only 2 mins drive to bars/restaurants. Quality spot

  • 5/5

Didn’t actually stay here as it was too windy and exposed but it looked like it would be a perfect spot in better conditions! If it’s windy head up to the car park at the other end of town as it’s a little more sheltered there.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

Overnight parking allowed at this very nice parking area beyond the golf club. Height barrier still open. It was very busy on the Friday night that we stayed, maybe 25 motorhomes parked up, but it might have been because there was a jazz festival weekend on in the village. Water available. Beautiful beach just 1 minute away, and several pubs/bars in the village 10 minutes walk.

  • 5/5

Home for tonight. height barriers open and a few campers here tonight. dogs not allowed on the beach between 11am and 7pm so will walk it later. 10 mins walk into the lovely village.

  • 2/5

Höhenbeschränkung auf 2m war beim Golfclub signalisert. Barrieren waren jedoch offen. Guter Spot für eine Nacht. Jugendliche Patrymacher liessen jedoch laute Musik laufen bis 03:30 Uhr. Unsere Nacht war deshalb nicht ruhig.

  • 5/5

  • 4/5

If you need to fill up with clean water the tap is not compatible with standard hose connections. can fill bottles but that's all. stan theman

  • 4/5

Great spot but from 1st June 2m height restrictions in place.

  • 5/5

Highly recommend, busy spot with camper vans and motorhomes so felt safe. Right on the beach for lovely morning walk.

  • 5/5

Great spot for the night beautiful beach. No toilets here in January and the tap is broken

  • 5/5

Very nice spot. Toilets and water tap. Lovely beach past the stand dunes. Highly recommend

  • 5/5

Great place for night. Hight barriers were up. 7 campervans spent night there. Toilets open day/night. Beautiful beach.

  • 4/5

hight barriers were open (26/8/2022) apparently they don't close them. you just drive through the golf course. quiet enough!

  • 5/5

lovely beach! gate is open for campers today (19.08.) Toilets and water works - also beautiful village.

  • 3/5

Between June and September a 2m height barrier is in place. So no good for us.

  • 3/5

Height barrier not across when I visited (Early July 22) However far too busy early morning and late evening for me. Otherwise toilets are clean and nice spot next to the beach.

  • 5/5

worth trying to go there. height barrier (2m) wasnt up. pretty windy here but calm.

  • 1/5

Dunfanaghy beach near golf club has barriers up - no motor homes from 1st June to 15th September

  • 4/5

Lots of space with a beautiful beach only a few at steps away.

  • 4/5

Very quiet and plenty of space. Sadly no toilet!!

  • 4/5

Servicios WC y agua decentes y bastante limpios.

  • 4/5

Nice spot beside a beautiful beach with toilets, water and bins. Place was quite at night when we were there mid week in September.. would recommend

  • 3/5

Party spot the night I was there, Seems to be the local drinking spot for teenagers might not be as bad on a weekday

  • 4/5

  • 5/5

Busy in the day but quiet at night, nice to fill up with water too.

  • 5/5

Lovely quiet spot to stay. Right beside the beach, portaloos, bins(can fill up quickly if busy), over all a lovely place to stay.

  • 5/5

Amazing beach and views. There's a small hill / dune next to the car park with great views over the huge beach. Small van doing food there most days. There's also surfing lessons.

  • 4/5

Beside the most beautiful beach in the world!! Very busy car park as it was a sunny day. Water tap available. Portaloos there, but sadly unusable - these were completely full and revolting, I'm told due to campervans emptying their waste into them, making them unusable for those visiting the beach. If you stay here please don't do this!! 18min walk to the town. Not quiet due to kids drinking.

  • 2/5

We attempted to sleep here, and it seemed like a nice place with other campers and toilets. However, a young crowd turned up at 1 am to go down to the beach to drink and smoke weed. They were very loud upon arrival. We ended up moving on after they headed down to the beach. It might be a nice place, maybe we had a bad experience at this location.

  • 5/5

Its right on the beach.toilets, recycling for bottles and cans ...I'm from Ireland and this is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Ireland!my go to place 3 hrs from home!

  • 5/5

Beautiful location. Very close to a quiet beach. 10 min walk to town. Hard standing, space for 10+ large Motorhomes. Portaloo, recycling and coffee stand

  • 5/5

Beautiful beach called Killahoey, with carpark behind the dunes. Far enough away from the beaten track and spacious enough to allow a bit of privacy. Good enough space for large motorhomes and approach road okay too.

  • 4/5

Excellent spot, recycling bins (glass, cans), a few small regular bins. No bathrooms unfortunately. Right next to the beach though! About 10 min walk into town

  • 4/5

Quiet, near beach, shelters, recycling, portaloos, flat space

  • 4/5

Quiet spot right by the beach with WC facilities (portaloos -clean and with toilet roll). Good views. Better views elsewhere round here but less convenient for beach and town

  • 4/5

Good beach parking is behind dues so some shelter. No toilet when I was there but recycling bins. Golf Club may be a good spot for a meal Wednesday to Sunday.

  • 5/5

Beautiful location :) stayed here with no problems.

  • 5/5

  • 1/5

    Parking très venté.

  • 4/5

    Nuit tranquille avec 4 camping-cars
