Great for access to the town but no overnight parking there.

Free parking near Kelso Abbey. Nice flat car park which was fairly quiet overnight. public toilets a few mins walk away open daytime only.

Peter50520/08/2021Tried to stay there tonight, the main car park now has a sign specifically prohibiting overnight sleeping. The 2nd car park further has a sign also prohibiting sleeping overnight, but advising a specific Motorhome parking at Springwood Park. I went there and there was a rally by a camping club that I don’t belong to, so that was also a Nono. Sorry bad news.

Nice and quiet carpark in this beautiful town, easily located, another carpark which is also ok just down the lane. No sleeping or cooking restrictions but we had no problems in our fairly stealthy van. Think it's probably ok if you arrive late and leave early and leave no trace.
