The site is called Whitsand bay fort camping. Superb campsite with magnificent views of plymouth and the coast. Very nice welcome but the price a bit expensive, £ 25-40 for a motorhome and three adults including electricity. Cottage rental. All in a former fort

Ein außergewöhnlicher Platz für einen Campingplatz, direkt in der alten Festung und am Meer! Von den Pitches aus hat man allerdings wenig bis gar keinen Ausblick aufs Meer. Die Sanitäreinrichtungen der Herren sind etwas heruntergekommen, Waschen für mind 6 Pfund überzogen teuer. Der Pool ist nett, kostet aber 6 Pfund/Person (Achtung! 1h/d NICHT kostenlos!, Preis-Leistung daher eingeschränkt).
After good reviews, & photos on the website, have to say we were disappointed. The Moat Pitches looked like they had a sea view, but didn’t! Luckily the staff let us move to p 46 so we could see the sea - just! The site in a ruined fort, so it looks rather dystopian! However you are staying in a piece of history. We enjoyed walking down to the beach & hiked around Rame Head for a day.

What a find! Fully serviced large motorhome pitches in two areas on the site. Very clean, well organised site with new facilities. Swimming pool was great with new toilets and showers. Very friendly welcome and all staff great. Amazing great value carvery on Sundays and other offers through the week. Lots to do - great coastal walks and the bay and beach are incredible. Small shops 25 min walk.
Lovely quiet campsite. Short walk to toilet, shower and washing up facilities. Lovely restaurant on site. 1 hour free swimming in pool per day when staying on site.
Sehr schön gelegener Platz, Full Hook Up direkt am Platz sehr komfortabel, Sanitär selbst zwar scheinbar neu renoviert und sauber, etwas spärlich, nur 2 Duschen ohne Ablagemöglichkeit, Personal sehr freundlich
Camp ok, owner kind, nice views, WiFi reach limited to bar as it seems, couple construction sites with the result of partly closed sanitation. We paid £25 for campervan plus tent with no electricity demand.
staff very friendly and helpful, the swimming pool was still under work and a lot of building work was ongoing. no play area for kids. pub with regular animations. we had noisy neighbors it was so bad we chose to leave early.
Stayed last week charged 35 not 40 the swimming pool is closed as damaged by 2 storms over last winter awaiting insurance to sort it out.what a fantastic site all staff very friendly and cant do enough for you. they make you feel like part of the family. has its own pub and small menu and the views they are a wow from the top of the fort. lanes leading to it can be busy and narrow but worth it.
