Great night apart from the morning at 5.30 burger van turned up the lady was knocking on the windows and telling us to move up as she wanted to park, so was woken by a very rude horrible lady, moved further along and then enjoyed the morning round the lake
beautiful location but burger van turned up at 6am with a very loud generator so ended up getting up and driving on by 6.15am, is abit noisy from the road
Went here over the heatwave just for the day, no over night stop and absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and tranquil, definitely recommend.
Absolutely beautiful place to visit, only day visit so no idea about over night stopping.
The location looks amazing and we spent a nice night there. The traffic gets busy in the morning and the early burger van is noisy. It parked directly in front of us and the owner is very loud in the morning. Would we use again? No. We would drive another 15-20 mins north for far more amazing locations.

nice lake view, overnight parked with no issues other than noises of passing vehicles on A470. nice fishing spot, plenty or parking spaces. Snack bars comes around 7 AM.
Stayed here last night (Friday). Beautiful location. Consistent traffic noise throughout night but otherwise not disturbed. Burger van arrived early in the morning (0600-0700am) and is popular to locals but no hassle at all. Okay for a one night stay.
Stayed here last night, lovely picnic area by reservoir, great for walking dog. Road is noisy but didn’t bother me. We were only ones here but felt safe. Burger van still here in the morning.
Nice spot to walk the reservoir from. The tarmac is on a slant which is noticeable when sleeping. The road alongside is very loud with lorries throughout the night. There were 3 other campers on the Friday night we stayed. The WORST part about the experience was the owner of the burger van playing EXTREMELY LOUD music at 6am which appeared to be exclusively to annoy campers. Rude.
A good spot for walking on the lake but the photos of the location do not do justice of the proximity to the road. Whilst the road did quieten down at night the arrival of the burger van blasting music at 5:30 in the morning as they set up was a shame. Good enough spot for a stop off but the spot another few hundred meters up the road behind the trees may be better for the night
Great views over the reservoir with picnic tables and a food wagon! Tarmac surface with loads of space. Reasonably level. Road is busy, even through the night, but not unbareable.
Stayed here 2 nights ago lovely place to spend the night. We arrived around 21:00 and were the only ones all night, the slope didn't make the most comfortable sleeping but still good. Bumped into a lovely local who accompanied/guided us on a lovely morning walk around the reservoir which i highly reccomend it's beautiful. Burger van had parked in front of us in the morning too.
