This is under new management and a new name. The owner cooks and his food is really good. We have often parked here and can now park in the car park the barrier is no longer locked any more. The toilets are only available during opening times. New hook up facilities going to be added in 2026 Help yourself to water from his outside tap.
I rang ahead, arrived 8.30pm. Very welcoming. No charge for parking as I bought a couple of drinks. I did't need water or hook up. Slept really well and felt very safe.
BEWARE. New owners. £30 just for overnight stay, unless eating in - very overpriced food. They are charging £20 for electric on top. We asked why and they said "we can charge what we like" £50 total for EHU and overnight stay in motorway carpark without facilities is terrible. Drive 15mins north on the M6 to Park Gate Leisure(on P4n), which is a great aire for £14 inc. EHU+all facilities

Stayed here just one night whilst heading up north; super easy to get to, just off M6 Toll. Nice and quiet, secluded car park, loads of space. Guy behind the bar was lovely, offering water or electricity if needed. We had a couple of drinks and some food as a token of our gratitude.
This pub literally 3 mins off junction 11 of the M6. It’s situated in a dead end so it’s quiet at night. The carpark is flat and has EHU (£10). The pub staff and Daryl(manager) are very welcoming, food is amazing with a large variety of American style dishes and an Indian menu. (Chicken Tikka masala was AMAZING!). Parking is free as long as you eat/drink in the pub. You won’t be disappointed
This is a gem of a place. Big car park, free to stay overnight and an EHU available (not free) if you want it. Friendly, helpful staff. As others have said, do buy a meal or at least a few drinks. We were there on a week night, and the pub wasn't that busy. So give them your custom if you want the pub to thrive and the free park up to remain available. Good pub grub at reasonable prices.
Brilliant stopover not too far from M6. No charge for parking. There is an option for Electrical Hook Up for £10 which I didn’t need. Food was amazing, owners are so hospitable.
“Parking lot” is not a good description. In the UK these are called “Pub Stopovers”. This is a good one. Close to the M6, easy access even for larger motorhomes, good food at reasonable prices, very welcoming to motorhomes. Small children’s play area.

Excellent spot off the M6 in a quiet car park with lots other room. Stayed on a Saturday night with 3 other motorhomes and no issues to report at all. Well located near to Shielshill for diesel at non motorway prices
Great spot. Could hear the m6 in the background but didn’t disturb sleep. Pub food good, staff friendly and only £10 for hook up. Will definitely stop again
A very good night here. The pub was closed, we park without using electricity, near the small playground for children.
arrived late on on a Sunday night but the gate was closed so we couldn't get in. We will certainly try again on another trip as the pub looked nice and the location was great just off the motorway we use to travel north to south.
A very convenient spot just off the motorway. Pub was closed on Monday but ehu was available. So we had a comfortable stay. I called in advance and a lovely woman said we would be welcome. Just not sure how to pay the £5 parking fee.
Stayed overnight last night. Lovely pub with fab food. Allowed dog in the back bar for our meal. Friendly welcome and very peaceful sleep close to M6. We had EHU at bargain cost of £10. Would definitely use again
Arrived at 9:30 on a Monday night, one other van here and the pub was closed so couldn’t pay the £5. Huge flat car park. Quiet night with the gentle rumble of the motorway. Lightening fast 5g on Three.

Fab stopover. Very close to m6 so perfect for traveling north or south. Lovely welcome and food is excellent quality pub grub. Lots of choice! Nice range of beers lagers and cider. Lovely kids park and lots of room to park. If u want electric you need to book. Slight noise from m6 but not enough to bother you. Car park generally flat too
Great little spot. £5 for electric. Pub toilets and park for kids. Lady who runs it is lovely. Had a quiet night here testing out our van locally to make sure we have what we need and everything is working before we venture further afield.

Stop over mid week after visiting NEC. Pub food was really good and reasonably priced. Please support the pub and buy a meal rather than just a drink - if the pub folds this stopover will be lost. Large car park and hook up for £5 (which I didn't use but van next door was hooked up). Recommended.
stayed over last night after food & drinks in the pub. we are local but would have been £20 each way in a taxi. bit of traffic noise at night but very close to dual carriage way & motorway. would stay again
Second time I’ve stayed here while on route to Wales. Just a shame the pub always seem to be closed.

Stayed one night while working in the area. Very friendly and welcoming. phoned ahead and asked whilst sat in a layby up Rd. Food looks excellent but I'd already eaten so just a couple of drinks for me. £5 for hookup I didn'tneed it. I believe you can pay if you turn up after hrs via the parking meters with anpr cameras. Will definitely use again.
Quiet night spent here making our way up to Liverpool. £5 to park when arriving late.
An excellent place to stop. easy access from motorway, excellent and fair prices food, the free parking is on a slight slope and road noise is there but not bothersome. this is my second stop here and I will come again.
We had a fantastic stay here. Food was really good and priced well. EHU was only £5 in addition and the premises were clean and tidy. Will absolutely stay again, highly recommended
Really pleasing stop. Great local pub with excellent food at a pretty decent price (albeit staff having to work flat out tonight and it’s only a Wednesday). Three of us parked here tonight - there’s some motorway noise but really nothing too problematic. We made use of the EHU for an additional £5. Great place.

Great place to stop near to Go European. Eat or buy a drink for free parking for the night. If arrive after shut just pay at machine. will use again if near by. Friendly staff
Great recommendation for a stop. First time we’ve used the app/website. Arrived about midnight, car park had only 2 empty vehicles in it. Signage for parking charges really clear. Can pay by coins or by Good2go parking website (which could have been a little clearer on use but we got there in the end). £5 for 24 hours as the pub was closed by the time we arrived). Electric hookup appears to be free also. The only negatives are that the ground slopes a little (didn’t actually bother us) and a few of the trees could do with being cut back as there are quite a few overhanging branches affecting a few of the bays by the hookup but all round an excellent stay for us. We hope to make it for a meal at some point.
Great place to stop a couple of minutes off the M6. Large carpark. Free to park if you eat or drink in the pub, but you do ned to register your vehicle on the touch screen at the bar. If you don’t want to use the pub you need to pay at the parking meter. £5 for 24 hours. There are electric hookups as you enter the carpark on the left. This costs £5. Very quiet overnight. Will use again
Decent flat car park attached to Wheatsheaf Inn for 1 overnight stay on way to Scotland. Ate at pub next door. £5.00 parking. No facilities. Used pub loos!
Got there last night at midnight and saw cameras and a newly installed parking control system active 24/7. £1 p/h. Ended up driving a little further and parked in a dead end road which was super quite

Stayed here 18nov 19...no problems ..nice food..nice staff...it's free without elec...pop in pub and enter reg number on touch screen on end of bar .or pay £5 for electric hook up. the wheatsheaf is on a dead end road with no through traffic..the motorway is close by but just white noise! ideal

Ein wirklich schöner Stellplatz mit Strom Anschluss. Der Besitzer kam gleich auf uns zu und unterhielt sich gleich ganz nett mit uns. Sehr angenehm. Der einzige kleine Nachteil, nachts bei geöffneten Fenstern hört man die Autobahn permanent.
Quiet Monday night. Two campers parked up when we arrived at 12.30. Had a great sleep, traffic rumble fairly low due to trees. Discovered in the morning that Hook up is working - another camper told us proprietor still charges £5 per night for electric or it's free if you dine in the pub. Was grumbling that the trees hang low and scrape tops of vans but we are a little Mazda bongo so not an issue for us.

Bonne étape à mi-chemin vers l'Ecosse à proximité de la M6. Parking relativement plat. Notre arrivée tardive ne nous a pas permis de dîner. Pas de petit déjeuner possible. Nuit tranquille, malgré le bruit de l'autoroute, avec deux autres vans.
Spent an evening hear in March 2019. Quiet and relatively flat spot. The pub did good food and includes a comprehensive Indian menu after 5pm. Good for a stopover if travelling as just off M6 junction 11.

As of 9 December 2018 there is no power but they are working to get it put back on. Friendly staff and no pressure to buy even a drink in order to stay. A few trees that need trimming and the ground slopes a bit..

L'arrivée au milieu de la nuit peut faire un peu peur, mais est parfait un arrêt proche de l'autoroute M6. Il ne nous a pas été possible de prendre un petit déjeuner ou simple café.

Great pub, good food. 2 mins from M6 and M6 Toll. Parking free and £5 for EHU. Couple boy racers hanging around at night but all in all a quiet spot, situated on a dead end road. There is a sign that says no overnight parking but this is to keep undesirables away.
Superb spot - surprisingly quiet (considering proximity to M6) - and a warm welcome in the pub/restaurant when we told them we were in the motorhome. Good selection of drinks, and both traditional pub and Punjabi menu's - we had an outstanding curry, and not at all expensive. Highly recommended.

Great place to stop, Landlord very friendly and offered Electric hook up if needed. Free to stay we bought drinks and snacks. Nice quiet location, close to M6.
Parking gratuit calme avec pub et très bon restaurant, bien servi.
Grand parking gratuit. On y mange très bien et copieusement. (voir photo) ils vous proposent l'électricité pour 5£. L'eau est a disposition gratuitement mais j'ai laissé 1 £. Le personnel sympa y est pour quelque chose.
Nous avons fait un arrêt déjeuner sur ce parking de Pub en aout 2016, il est conforme aux précédents commentaires. Je rajouterai qu´il y a une aire de jeux pour les enfants.
