superb stop behind the pub. we had drinks at night, then breakfast in the morning. no pressure to buy anything! friendly staff. opens at 9am till late. toilets available when it's open. also serves lunch & dinner. three campers overnight. no rubbish bins, so take yours away.
Lovely pub by the river. stayed here in February 2025, food was excellent staff very friendly, lovely big fire to sit around. Back here again late March, as it's an ideal stop over.
What a great pub stop! Very friendly and welcoming staff, great food and good beer. All set on the Banks of the Thames and the oldest bridge to cross it (14th C). Just park up at the back of the car park behind the pub on the gravel area and go and say hello. Superb breakfast from 9am too. Completely flat and safe.
Excellent spot to park up. Very friendly in the pub, we bought beer, but couldn't afford food as we were at the end of our budget. They filled our water bottle up for us. Wasn't particularly busy as we came in November.
amazingly scenic, very welcoming staff, never felt we were imposing in the slightest either! food lovely and lovely to sit outside on a summers night next to the canal. definitely will be back if in the area again. enough room for approx 5x 7m MOHO's comfortably in the gravel car park at rear...lights all night too, felt very safe and was very peaceful.
The most beautiful pub we have ever seen, scenic location at thames, great food, lovely people and a nice and quiet spacious place to spend the night. We couldn't be happier.

Stayed here for one night. Lovely pub - they had stopped serving food when we arrived, but it was 9pm. Had breakfast in the morning, which was great. Good customer service and was more than happy with letting us stay the night. The only downfall was the pile of rubbish in the corner at the back carpark.
One of our favourite pub stops. The time we were there, a live band were preforming on the Thames, on top of their narrow boat. When the performance finished they simply untied and headed off downstream. Still have the vision in my head. The food was also lovely.

endroit très sympa. parking facile. on y a mangé. Au bord d'une rivière. il faut commander ses plats au bar et on s'installe à une table. Nuit très calme.
Great stop by the river. Parking for 5 or more vans on level gravel at rear carpark of pub. Super friendly staff, with a relaxed approach. Access to Thames river walks and surrounding areas, and lovely beer garden. Would recommend, even for longer stays. Could benefit from bin in carpark and possible recycling point, but doesn't deter from great pub, staff, and free stopover.
Its a great location, but maybe went on the wrong day. Car park was big, flat and busy, though quiet. Good walking along the river. it was a weekend and the weather was great, so it was completely packed. Staff were rushed, and not enough of them. 1 hour wait for food at 1900, which was mediocre at best. Maybe better when quiet, but I'd just have a couple of drinks by the river if we went back.
Nous venons de passer la nuit. Endroit très calme. Nous avons demandé l autorisation de passer la nuit , l accueil est très sympa. Je recommande nous étions 2 fourgons et il faut aller au fond du parking sur le gravier.
incredible establishment. gorgeous spot on the Thames. staff very accommodating. we had a couple of drinks, stayed the night, parked out the back on the dirt, very safe and secluded. couple of coffees in the morning and left at midday. must visit when in the area.
Lovely welcome. No request to eat but the breakfast is definitely worth having! Flat surface, quiet...perfect...The manager even assisted us with some water.
Good, quiet place to stay overnight, pub owners happy for you just to purchase a couple of drinks. Pub is next to the river Thames, lovely location on a summer's evening to sit in the pub garden and have a drink.
Wow, love this place. Friendly staff & the pub itself is beautiful. If your like me and love a riverside pub this is definitely a stop for you. Car park is flat & 4G signal.
Great quiet stop for the night. Nice pub with a laid back approach to vans. Might be different in summer as it's a lovely spot right on the Thames.

Lovely pub by the river, flat parking area at back of pub. Bit disappointed with the food, although hubby loved his chicken and ham hock pie. Didn't have to buy food, buying drinks would have been OK, but it's important to support these places. Would definitely stay again, but would just have a few drinks.
Stayed here 1 night. Pleasant staff. Pub grub. Go wrong direction through the car park to avoid low branches, and park on the gravel area at the back. Back entrance has a height barrier. Fairly quiet road behind. A nice stop over.
Stopped here on our way through and what a little gem! Large flat carpark (park right at the back) right on the Thames path, super friendly staff, no charge except buying a drink. Massively dog friendly, they even have their own treat, water bowl, blanket station. If the pub is full there is also a little CL site 2 mins up the road x

Drove over to the inn after seeing the current reviews and asked at the bar if we were able to stay over, they were happy and very accommodating straight away. We ensured we ordered some drinks. Would recommend booking a table in the restaurant to eat, very busy. All the staff were welcoming. it is in a secluded area near the river. Just park in the furthest part of the car park on the gravel.
Stayed overnight on a Saturday, lovely place parking at the back on gravel area, low branches to be careful of tho on way in ..beautiful area and walks along the river, friendly and good food, also another pub other side of bridge too so spoilt for choice :)
Quite location at night, park up around the back of Pub the car park furthest away, just beware of low branches from trees. yummy food in the pub makes this a lovely place along the Thames.
Amazing stop off place, staff really friendly and helpful. Quiet car park and pretty sure they’d have space for more than 2. Food stops at 9 rather than 10 as advertised but a few local delivery options will fill the gap!
Had a very pleasant 1 night stay here based on reviews here. Called ahead to check with a few hours notice and also managed to book a table for dinner in the pub. Food was very good - fairly standard chain pub type fayre. We were the only van in an otherwise quiet car park. Situated round the back of the pub but right near the river which revealed early am dog walkers. Very pleasant indeed.
Stayed here for 1 peaceful night with two other camper vans. Parking for vans is at the back car park where there is loads of room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and pub cosy with fire and nice decor. Had an amazing walk along the Thames. We will be returning!
Really good pub on the banks of the Thames. Flat level site that was quiet. If you’re a light sleeper park on the right hand side of the car park away from the lane.

Lovely place for a stop over. Rear car park very quiet and level. Beautiful setting right on river side. Pub staff all very friendly. Food delicious. There’s boat hire available too Will definitely be back.
Great pub to stop at nice walk back for a pint and a evening meal, staff friendly, but on entrance to the rear car park use the exit route, due to over hanging branch from tree on entrance will catch the side of the van
