As others have pointed out, the road noise really is quite strong. But the host was very kind and happy to help, and the facilities were nice, clean, and functional. Paid £20 for one night—van, no electric hookup, one person.

Stay on the north side of the grounds as the road noise on the south side can be unwelcome at 4am.

InekeVonk25/06/2025Groot terrein voor tenten en campers die geen elektriciteit nodig hebben. Schoon sanitair, prima douche. Nadeel een doorgaande weg die je de hele tijd hoort. Het was windstil, dus met een wind de goede kant op, misschien minder last. Waardeloze internet dekking hier, maar daar kan de camping uiteraard niets aan doen.

andyhopey30/12/2024This campsite is clean, the reception from the staff was great. Good facilities, showers warm and powerful and shower/toilet block heated. hardstand pitches are a good size. Great 4G coverage. Very quiet. Would use again. Hope this review helps :)

Andrea87904/09/2024Wir sind hierhin gefahren, weil er angeblich so günstig ist. Wir haben zu zweit mit zwei Hunden 45£!!! gezahlt. Wir wären weiter gefahren aber unsere Hunde hatten genug vom Fahren. Sonst hätte ich das nicht mitgemacht. Für einen Grasplatz ohne drum und dran, die Sanitäranlagen zwar sauber aber nicht mehr auf den neuesten Stand, finde ich den Platz maßlos überteuert und würde nicht noch einmal hier hin fahren!

Schöner Campingplatz. 10min mit dem Fahrrad zum Bahnhof um nach Brighton oder London zu fahren. 5 min mit dem Fahrrad zum einen kleinen Supermarkt, der auch lokale Lebensmittel verkauft. Bäckerei ebenfalls dort.

Beautiful, wide, green campsite with wonderful views, close to Brighton We were on larger tour, stayed one night, staff very friendly and helpful, 40 min nice stroll to Hassocks train station to Brighton. The train journey takes approx 15 min, the station is close to the center of town. We didn't use the facilities on site (we usually use ours) No free wifi Very quiet during night for us

Wir waren nur auf der Durchreise und konnten unsere Chemietoilette für 3£ entleeren und ausspülen. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich, ein toller Platz. Hier würden wir auch übernachten.

Very well maintained, facilities cleaned regularly and a safe and secure base with good train links into Brighton. Well priced and just £18 & £8 per person, per night for hook up pitch. Would definitely recommend and would revisit if we are ever in the area.

nice and open. if you dont want electricity, just a big field and park up where you want. i paid £19 for the night, which is very reasonable. one side of the field is near the road, so a little road noise but its not a busy one.

We paid 26 pounds for 2x people in a van without power, very reasonable compared to all the other campgrounds in the area. Pretty and quiet. Showers hot!

Accueil très chaleureux. Petite aire de jeux pour les enfants avec un toboggan, une balançoire, un petit parcours de motricité. 6 douches chez les femmes et autant chez les hommes : ce qui évite l'attente aux sanitaires. Par contre, gros point négatif, la route au bord qui est très bruyante. Il faut avoir un sommeil très profond pour supporter le bruit la nuit !

A quelques minutes de Brighton. Prix de 37 pounds pour une nuit en camping-car à 4 sans électricité. Accueil sympathique, calme, services de base (épicerie, laundry, vidange toilettes et eaux grises, eau potable…). Lave-linge et sèche-linge à 4 pounds chacun. Possibilité de faire les vidanges et le plein d’eau sans rester dormir pour 10 pounds. Le camping de Brighton nous demandait 75 pounds !

Great place to spend a few days - good walking up to and along the South Down Way and a well run site supporting a worthwhile charity. Shop in reception and a short walk to Hassocks and Ditchling. The Bull in Ditchling serves very good food and beer-booking advised. No EE mobile signal but TV good.

Really lovely campsite, staff were very friendly and a large space to pitch in. No set pitches for non electric which was nice to be given the option to pitch where we wanted.

Lovely staff, open all year round unlike many other campsites in the area and its very reasonably priced. We have a rooftent and were booked on as a 'small tent' with two adults for £19

Amazing! Nice and friendly staff! For 10£ you can use the facilities, fill things up etc.. Washing mashine and dryer are 4£ each.
