Great site, off the road so lovely and quiet. Arrived late and set up.....other than dog walkers arriving early, so no distraction all night. Will definitely stay again

Great spot for a night. There was a few other vans/cars and then dog walkers in the morning but no noise. No bins around but wasn’t untidy.

Sunny Sat in May25 9pm:few cars & campers but lots of room & no sign of ppl 'til 9am; still quiet. Bumpy approach & some uneven areas but can mostly level out. No bins but no rubbish other than a few dog poo bags. Area popular with dog walkers & maybe doggers but we had no problems. A couple of boy racers but far enough from road to be quiet. Would stay again.

Great little spot for a stopover. Ground is uneven and sandy but enough space to manoeuvre to get a good spot. Only the golfers and dog walkers around. Some slight road noise

Lovely spot, surrounded by ferns and a golf course. A few picnic tables nearby. Perfect for a night stop.

Been to this little spot before, have been able to park for a couple of days with no bother, set away from the road and not too noisy! The famous rubbish pile is currently gone entirely, can happily let the dog off lead in the woody areas, try and have her secure before returning to the car park down to how close the road actually is. Met some really friendly people in the area and wild campers.

Beautiful little spot. We have stayed here a couple of times. Both times there have been other vans but still plenty of space. There is an old building/ruins that you can walk too. Really pretty location.

Great spot in nature right by a huge forest with plenty of walks and cycle paths. Lots of potholes on the path to reach the parking, go slow! Terrain uneven but feasible. As others have said, small parking so be mindful of leaving space for the locals! 1 hour walk to reach high lodge with a cafe and plenty of family activities in the forest.

Packed tonight - 6 vans, 4 cars. At least the trash is piled in one place this time!

Stayed here last night. AMAZING woodland walks and felt safe with a great nights rest. Bit of road noise from the A road you come from. Can also hear golfers talking occasionally up until 8:30-9pm. Guessing would hear less when the nights get darker. LOTS OF RUBBISH including a front bumper and a pile of sick!!! Couple of vans pulled up and also stayed the night later on. But no issues

Please can I add to this place. If there are 5 or 6 campers or vans here, move on. I have heard several locals bad mouthing us when they can't park for their dog walks. It will only be a matter of time before this place gets closed down yo us!

I spent a couple of nights here so I could enjoy the forest walks with my dog. local dog walking area. I had a good night's sleep and felt safe

The surface of this car park has deteriorated quite a lot since some of the photos on here and videos I've watched. It is not very level and lots of dips and hollows on the entrance road. That said, it's far enough from the road to be a very peaceful spot for the night. 5 vans in total whilst we were there.

Stayed here on 17th May. Very peaceful, lots of dog walkers and the odd twitcher but by 8.30pm it was quiet. Another camper (vw) pulled in around 9.00pm. Some rubbish laying about but otherwise a great stop for the night.

Very quiet stay at night. lots of dog walkers in the evening and morning. 4g was low but usable. no bins so take rubbish away with you.

Very nice place to stay. Loads of room. We stayed in a micro camper but there was 2 larger sprinter vans. Heard loads of wildlife such as Owls and other birds. Would be 5 stars but due to be very quite location we had a few weed smokers which ruined the experience a little due to smell. Highly recommend though and will be returning

Great location. Arrived around 5pm last night and was joined by another campervan around 9pm. Very quiet. Highly recommend.

Positives: A lovely park up with beautiful views. Close to fantastic trails as well as a ruin. Completely undisturbed during the evening. Popular spot with dog walkers. We stayed on a Saturday night and there was 4 other campervans. Negatives: a load of rubbish dumped here and lots of dog mess. A real shame.

one of my first trips out in New to Me motorhome few weeks ago was lovely peaceful great dog walks fair bit dog mess around though but to be expected I guess

Reasonably flat though bumpy on entrance. Slight road noise in distance (along with rifle shooting during day). Some signs of fly tipping. Great stop for endless walks through Forrest

Stayed for a few hours during the day,nice little spot but found a nicer place just 6 minutes down the road, ip27 0tt postcode

Would have been nice but rifles scared the life out my dogs so had to leave

Great little spot, no amenities but quiet enough with direct access into Thetford Forest. Can’t be seen from the road, private. 3G is good, 4G is hit and miss

Great little place popular with camper vans. Easy to drive past as sign hidden by hedges if coming from Thetford. Brown sign for Warren.

great little spot, just off a road but well secluded. nice walks right next door. beware not to park in the middle when raining like we did. dog walkers very keen, started arriving around 6am

Great stop off Stayed here 20/07/2023 Perfect for free overnight stay with plenty of lovely walks through the forest. Do get early morning dog walkers. And need to keep an eye out as most dont seem to pick up the dog poo. Other than that its a nice little out the way stop over.

Looks to be turned into a housing estate now came to stop off and wasn’t there anymore

stayed here 18/6/23.... quiet and peaceful, only small amount of traffic noise, but slept well. Few dog walkers on monday morning before leaving. Quite a lot of pot holes on road in/out.

Good Park up quiet but some dog walkers. Walked through Thetford Forest to sainsbury 10k round trip. All off road except crossing A11 at roundabout opposite Sainsbury. Bank Holiday was busy with cars. Good spot for campervans who can survive off grid. Will be back again

Parkplatz am Wald, aber in der Nähe der Straße. Straßenlärm zu hören, aber ruhige Nacht verbracht. Viel Müll rund um den Parkplatz. Beliebt bei Hundebesitzer zum Gassigehen. Keine Mülleimer vorhanden.

Really good stop no one else here when we arrived, one other motorhome stopped about 10pm and a few dog walkers arrived about 8am no issues. Shame about the rubbish left by others others would be 5*

Sainsbury/KFC/McD/etc a mile and a half distant!

stayed here last night (Boxing day -27/12/22) the walks were incredible, mostly quiet. Three - 4G enough to stream Netflix at good quality. we were joined by a few different motorhomes during the night, had a full night sleep with no interruptions. no services so if you're going make sure you're prepared.

Stayed here on 16 December. Perfect winter spot. Only saw one other car (dog walker). No facilities. Average phone signal. Slight noise from the road when outside the van, otherwise silent. Would 100% use again.

Excellent park up, with great walks. A little unlevel in places but otherwise quiet. Popular with dog walkers. Vodafone - good signal. EE good signal. 3 good signal. Stayed overnight and into the next day. Dog walkers start early !!

Excellent nights sleep just off the road and next to the golf course and woods, a few other Motorhomes were here the night we stayed and felt very safe and relaxed. A few local dog walkers arrived in the morning but all friendly. We stopped here after trying the one at Nuns Bridges, which wasn’t suitable for a 7.5m motorhome and a number of questionable people hanging around in cars so we decided to move on.

Nice chilled out park up. I'm on Vodafone and got a little signal.

Stayed here felt very safe there was another two vans and very quiet good dog walking area to definitely on the list to come again oh and plenty of space albeit a bit uneven.

Brilliant place! We had no trouble from funny characters, just nice dog walkers and other campers. Seems a popular place so you’ll unlikely be alone. Stayed a few nights, peaceful sleep. Shame about no bin for dog mess though, it’s a very busy place with dog walkers so that doesn’t make sense, the woodlands a bit gross to walk around with all the bags left. But still highly recommend this spot!

This could be a good place to spend the night depending on who else is there. We didn't feel comfortable with some shifty people in cars so moved on to the next park up by the river.

Lovely spot in the forest, stayed a night, no restrictions busy road in the day but quite at night. Good for 6 vans.

Stayed here 28/04/22. Look for sign Thetford Warren on right hand side when coming from A11. Very noisy in morning with jets from RAF Mildenhall near by. Nice and level, could probably get 10 vans in there if parked considerately, there were 5 over night when we stayed.

Lovely car park in the forest. No facilities but very quiet, couldn't hear the road. Nice little walk around the site, plenty of room but dog walkers coming and going. Would recommend.

Very quiet area, nice flat car park and good walks for miles if you wish. can get very busy at times and dog walkers don't always clean up!!!

Look for the TINY brown tourist sign on the Brandon Road! Took me 3 attempts to finally get into the place. Probably easier to get into if coming from the Brandon end as its a sharp turn in on a fast road. Once in had a quiet night here undisturbed.

Great overnight stop, only us & one other campers but had a visit in the night from someone who didn’t stop/not sure who? Would use again. Only problem is the dog s..t from car park to forest.

A bit of road noise but the car park can't be seen from the road. No signs at all, of any kind. Lots of dog walkers appeared in the morning but no-one bothered us.

Very yobby place after dark. didn't stay.

Stayed there one night with one other camper van. Parked in the top left corner as entering the car park which was perfectly flat. Had lovely views both ways and slept very well. You’re not miles away from the road you so hear cars occasionally in the distance but I didn’t mind this. Also very close to the woods with a lovely circle walk. Lots of dog walkers during the day some late evening and some early, but everyone very friendly. Will definitely stay here again. Lastly, please pick up your litter! We filled up a bag whilst there.

Stayed last night, lovely quiet and peaceful, lovely walking in the forest. in the morning carpark very busy with bikers, using the trails in the forest.

Tried to stay last night, 2 vehicles turned up and starting revving, playing music and beeping horns, they were just an nuisance. I imagine it's luck of the draw, we were there on Sat night so think this might be a better weekday location.

Best carpark in the forest. Very few yobs in cars. No dogging! Close to Thetford (fuel/food(sainbury/mcd) only a few miles away. Peaceful. Stayed one night. Preferred stay-over location.

Stayed here 1 night got a chinese from Brandon local village peace full , but the trains do run till quite late will be back !

Great park up for the day with long walks into the forest. There is an old Lodge that dates back to 1400 which is cool. Didn't see any rubbish around as some mentioned. Great place

Peaceful night stop though can hear road noise during the day and into the evening. approach is quite bumpy. Cars with youngsters parked at night for a while and went into the forest but left and no disturbance. highly recommended for Thetford forest location if you want to avoid dogging as reported in other parkup s in the area.

Lovely spot with evergreen forest views. Lots of noisy coming and going through the night unfortunately though.

Quiet at night, just a couple of other campers. We stayed on Saturday night and there were lots of dog walkers and mountain bikers on sunday morning. Lovely spot with little road noise and good access to the forest.

Great spot for parking and access to the forrest for both walking and cycling. Lots of dog walkers however did not stop us enjoying our stay. No services, we plan to stay over night.

Great place to stay right next to the river. woken twice - once by a noisy goose and another by a van that came in at about 1am and stayed with the engine running for 20 mins (?) then headed off. but all in all, nice spot!

Stopped over 24May, 2019.. very quiet, ideal stopover.. people started arriving at just after 5am though.. they weren’t noisy
