Auch wenn übernachten verboten ist – hier beginnt ein wundervoller Wanderweg in das UNESCO Welterbe „alte Buchenwälder“. In Serrahn befindet sich ein kostenloses interessantes Informationszentrum (auch WC) und eine Rast hier und Wanderung (hin und zurück etwa 8 km) lohnt sich in jedem Fall.
Das Verbotsschild ist leider nach wie vor vorhanden ( 2.9.20).
