Ein wunderschöner Ort zum übernachten. Tolle Gegend und einen ganz tollen Blick auf die Berge und das Landesinnere.

  • 4/5

Please approach from south…can’t access from the north

  • 4/5

Great quiet park up not near residential areas but not far from the town centre. Dead end road, park near the Bailey bridge and there’s plenty of room. You can’t see the sea as the railway line is between the road and the beach on a high bank but the Mountain View’s are lovely. No direct access to the beach and dog walkers in the am.

Stayed here New Year’s Eve in a storm. We were the only ones here and it was great. Heard the odd train until early evening then first thing in the morning but they didn’t bother us at all as they are small passenger carriages. Popular with dog walkers which is usual at this sort of parkup so expect them around until dark and first thing when it gets light.

very beautiful and peaceful. view is magnificent!

  • 5/5

We had a peaceful night. Lovely place to walk the dog. You can reach the sea by walking under the railway bridge at the top by the bins at low tide.

  • 4/5

Nice view inland, but no sea view because of the railway track. Only 3 vans on our Sunday night, but quite a few cars for fishermen and dog walkers, in the evening and in the morning. There were trains going past around 5:40am, and again around 7:20am and 8:00am, so consider checking the timetable if the noise will bother you.

  • 5/5

Superb views and a quiet night. 2 other vans parked. Very windy but didn’t have a problem sleeping in my converted car. People walking their dogs in the morning in the adjacent field were super nice :)

I really want to give this area a five stars depending on the nature , but I had two nights here, all crazy. First night, wild wind all night, howling , I felt van shaking, I couldn’t sleep. The Second night, teenagers drove passing, beeping loudly at Midnight, but not only once, they did twice. Luckily some people out of campers and stopped them. Crazy. Better not stay at a Saturday night.

  • 4/5

Super walk down to the beach, great for an evening stroll. I wild camp because I’m an introvert and don’t want to be with other people, I just want to do my thing and not be disturbed, bed 10pm out at 7am. There were at least 20 vans parked up here with me, good phone signal and everyone was very quiet but I wouldn’t use it again, if I wanted that experience I’d just pay to stay on a site.

A brilliant place to stop over for 2 nights, bin provided near bridge, public toilets near to the play area at the front of the beach 5 mins drive, nice & quiet and a great place to spot the shooting stars and you can hear the waves at night. fresh water available from the rear of Tywyn's petrol station. just leave your park up nice & clean the way you found it when you leave. 10/10

  • 5/5

Wow, very beautiful overnight spot. So many fantastic walks to be done. Dark skies with lots of stars. There was a strong easterly wind funneling down the valley on the night we stayed though, which did mean that the van shook most of the night ! No bins so rubbish must be brought away with you.

  • 5/5

Stayed overnight Nov 22 - its a dead end road that runs parallel to a railway line and alongside an estuary. Beautiful surroundings and walks along the estuary. Small bin near bridge. We were the only van, but railway workers turned up for a night shift using the access gate. Good 4G signal.

  • 4/5

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Very good spot. It gets very dark and is quite remote so females on their own may feel a little unnerved. I would definitely return if in the area again.

  • 5/5

Great spot quiet free night. Sun night in Nov. 1 other camper stopped. Dog walkers come and go in early evening and again in morning. No unwanted traffic. All works showing on google finished. So a long wide stretch of road plenty of space. Great views inland, railway obstructs views to sea but also gives protection from wind. Great walk n or s from here. About 15mins to walk n to Tonfanau Stn.

  • 5/5

Great place for overnight stop. Not near any main roads so silent. All you hear is the clean whixh is a 4 min walk over the. Lots of walks here. No amenities. Lots if bags of russbish here tho whixh could be campers so please don't as thry will bar us from here too. Overnight stay allowed. Fishing permitted here too. Can be busy with cars for fishing and dog walkers but very quiet and peaceful

  • 4/5

Nice isolated spot, we had it to ourselves on a blustery evening - it is quite exposed to the weather. Lots of dogwalkers coming and going till dusk, then quiet until a few cars zipped around really late as others have commented. Easy access and plenty of parking and turning room even for a big motorhome like us, as the road widens out by the footbridge

  • 4/5

Quiet spot, no trains after about 8. Easy parking, away from residential area.

  • 5/5

beautifull place. we were here during the heatwave where a lot of locals use the water to cool down. sea 300m, river 50 m. train runs untill 22.00 and start again at 6.30, however noice is not disturbing a lot

  • 5/5

Beautiful spot. Few other vans. Only other people using this place was dog walkers. Felt very safe.

  • 5/5

Excellent overnight parking. Is busy with fishermen until around 11 but then very peaceful overnight

  • 5/5

Lots of other camper vans and van lifers, very peaceful and safe night here. free to park up overnight.

  • 4/5

Lovely quiet spot, with walks and views. Trains didn’t bother us at all. We picked litter, not left by the van folk. Respect this place, so that we can go on using it. Enjoy!

  • 5/5

Fantastic overnight spot right on the estuary. Stunning views, sunset over the beach short walk away, sunrise over the mountains. Three other vans and very popular dog walking spot. You won't be on your own but it's peaceful and friendly. Trains didn't bother me at all.

  • 5/5

Great spot, quiet with nice walks in the area. Tarmac and plenty of space to turn around once dog walking cars have gone. Only one other van there with us.

  • 5/5

amazing place to stay. out the way and clean

  • 5/5

  • 5/5

Great place for overnight, few dog walkers, but no problems.

  • 4/5

Place without comfort and with train at 10 feet, with a lot of passage of residents. local only for lovers of the wild. Leave clean please

  • 4/5

Beautiful views all round. Quiet night. Only two other campers who stayed the night. Very accessible (LWB Van). Many different walking paths (beach, mountains, nature reserve or town) as well as a cycle network. On a Trainline but they are very irregular and stop late evening.

  • 5/5

Stay there for 1 night very peaceful place couple of dog walkers in morning but friendly reception very decent fp

  • 5/5

Ended up coming back here for a second night as was the best place around. Great views , quiet , good phone signal, and felt safe.

  • 5/5

Really quiet, no interruptions. Beautiful views to wake too. Quite a few cars and vans overnight.

  • 5/5

the roads called Tai Idris, drive to the end. spent a couple of peaceful nights here. train every hour 7.20 - 22.00 ish but didn't disturb us. 2 other vans, 1 looks long term. popular with friendly dog walkers. Good reception. would definitely come again. beautiful scenery too. spar shop about a mile next to petrol garage and a coop. water/air tap behind garage and launderette in town too

  • 5/5

Stayed 3 nights. Soon got used to the trains. Couple of other vans there, felt safe throughout. Awesome sunsets and nice walks. I'll be going back.

  • 5/5

Stayed here over Easter weekend. Only campervan here. Quiet, flat, tarmac location. Great walks no amenities

  • 1/5

Would be a great location normally but contractors painting the nearby railway bridge have filled most of the area with portacabins. This work is only temporary so it will return to normal I’m sure.

  • 4/5

Stayed here 25/5/19 a nice quiet stop over lots of cars, dog walkers early evening and its quite far out of town we will be stopping there again

  • 4/5

Stayed here for one night, really peaceful. Train passes every hour until midnight then starts at 6am again. A few kids coming and going in cars but it was soon past there bedtime so they left around 8:30. Defiantly come back again, great walks to the beach too. Loads of wildlife.

  • 4/5

I stayed here in March and it really is lovely and away from annoying anyone with no signage to say you can’t sleep there. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that I was the only van so felt a little bit nervous when aa couple of times in the night cars came down the road and stopped for a while with seemingly no reason to. Nothing happened but would have been nicer in the summer with more vans around I think. Great spot all in all.

  • 5/5

Stay here all the time. Quite busy with other campers and dog walkers.

  • 5/5

Great spot for wild camping and what a view to wake up to. Water and mountains. 3 other vans when we were there but plenty room. No lights so very dark but no light pollution and great on a clear night.
