Nice free car parking under trees, mystique spot at the ancient pyramid hill. Good start for a walk to Avebury (stone rings) and not far from "posh" Marlborough. If not the permanent sound of cars running busy road... Earplugs helps!

Kein Telefonnetz empfang.

Stayed here last night, road fairly quiet. You can hear the cars passing but you’re far enough away for it not to be an issue. Only 5 min drive from Avebury and I think you can walk there through the fields but they were flooded. No bother at all.

Great little park up. Perfect spot for a visit to Avebury right next to Silbury hill. No bins and a bit of road noise though

Passed here 15/7/22 and signs out side saying over campervans overnight

A great little stop off of the main road between Marlborough and Devizes right next to Silbury Hill. There's lots of space for vans and cars, it does get very busy during the day with dog walkers and hikers but is left almost empty at night. it is closed during the Summer solstice and I have heard that there is some security that try to move on those sleeping overnight but haven't experienced it.

Parking cost is £2 to English Heritage, but the length of stay is not specified. Pay by text, but my signal was rubbish. Another vanner said not to worry about paying because they never check! Nice walk to Avebury Henge and the Red Lion pub (overlooks the stones).

Great spot with super views. Road a bit noisy but didn’t bother me.

Not quiet but good enough for one night.

Good place for one night. Noise from road is not that bad. I think this place will eventually have no camping signs but its ok for now!

This is indeed a very nice place nut the continuous noise of trucks and cars is ennoiing. Very nice inn a few 100m away.
