Un cadre superbe ! Il y avait des nuages qui traversaient les montagnes ce matin, le propriétaire gardait les moutons avec les chiens et les ouvriers agricoles et aucun signal ! (vodafone) qui peut être un bonheur !
Idéal pour marcher jusqu'à la cascade Galleny Force et au pot de mousse noire

Great surroundings! Had the clouds coming through the mountains this morning, the owner herding the sheep with the dogs and farm hands and no signal! (vodafone) which can be bliss!

kolbias23/08/2023Absolutely zero signal for me, which was great! Utterly beautiful location, plenty of flat areas for pitching, and the guy who runs the place is lovely! Great prices too.

Beautiful location, reasonably priced and really friendly owner. Dogs are allowed, 50p for 4 min showers (but fairly priced considering the price for adults) and also has a place to fill water :) We came with a car roof tent, was busy when we were there but owner said that it’s usually quiet, would definitely come again :)
Betsieontheroad21/06/2023What an exquisite spot even though it is ‘just’ a field. The place is surrounded by stunning mountains, the field has a calm energy, the guests are quiet and Richard - the owner - is a kind & super relaxed guy. There are no motorhome facilities as in: no electric, no grey waste disposal, no chemical toilet emptying point nor a tap to refill water. If you are self sufficient it’s the perfect spot.

Lovely campsite on a farm. 9pp with under 5 and dog free, cash only. Being a Friday it was quite busy but everyone was really quiet and respectful. They have toilets and showers but they’re about as basic as it gets, and showers are 50p for 4 minutes.

Great location, £9 pppn very basic camp site but just what we wanted :)

The owner is really friendly, stayed over the bank hol and they opened up the two fields opposite and separated into groups, families, couples etc (I thought this worked well as meant our field was really peaceful and quiet)! £9 per person now and showers still 50p but portaloos (super clean) in each field as well as main ones in barn.
ac823/05/2022Arrived slightly later than intended but wasn’t a problem at all with the friendly and chatty owner who was just locking the gate. Campers only on the field. Tents allowed but cars must stay in the adjacent car park. He was happy with our set up being on the field as we actually converted the back only landrover to a camper. Nice quiet spot and lovely views! Showers and toilets on site. Showers are 50p but when I paid for the camping, the owner gave me change in 50p’s which was super convenient. Will definitely be heading back!

really nice and quiet site stayed for 1 night on 31/3/22 cost £18 for 2 of us in a camper van really nice pub about 10 minute walk in to stonethwaite would definitely recommend.

Top site. The owner is a real character and is great! No phone signal at all for me on 3 and very very hot and miss(more miss) for my partner on vodaphone.

Stayed here in a small campervan on 26th August after calling earlier in the day. 10/10 facilities, showers, cleaning facilities and toilets all good. Would recommend. Cash only from what I understand.

Beautiful location Basic facilities are clean and adequate, take 50p pieces for hot showers. Friendly owner. Lots of space even in busy times looks like he opens more fields if necessary Now £9pppn

My favourite campsite in the lakes. £6 per person is way cheaper than virtually every campsite in the Lakes.
KathyBeuvelot22/07/2019Trop cher. Pour 6 livre par adulte + 4 par enfants, c’est à dire 24 euros, nous avons eu le droit de nous parquer en pente sur un parking, même pas sur l’espace en herbe. L’accueil est assez abrupte et les service sont inexistants pour un camping-car. 50 pence la douche. Il vaut vraiment mieux faire deux ou trois miles de plus et se parquer gratuitement sur le bord de la route
