Les 4 derniers km de la route ne sont accessibles qu'aux véhicules de moins de 5 tonnes

Parked here for the walk to the Canyon and to sleep, but we'd parked on too much of a slope, so didn't stop. Drove up in 7.5m, 4.5t motorhome, it's doable, but with the road having pot holes, mud and all combined with an incline you need to apply power to get up. Personally, i wish I'd parked in the lower carpark and walked up, but each to their own
Magnificent views, great hike to Alta canyon. Last 3km to up here is a bit bumpy gravel road, but perfectly doable with my 7m 3,5tonne camper. Place for up to 15 vehicles, but only few are level. And as cherry on top, in august there is lot of mushrooms to pick!
top für die Nacht und die Wanderung. Etwas weiter unten (200m) findet man eine Ebene stelle. Wanderung sehr schön
Parking lot where the hike to Alta Canyon starts. The last 3km the road gets pretty bad. Doable with a motorhome, but not very comfortable haha. The parking lot is indeed sloping. It was very very windy last night, so we didn’t get a great nice sleep. There’s no trees or bushes to break the wind, so I don’t recommend sleeping here when there’s strong wind. There are better places on the road from Alta.
In the middle of nowhere. No services at all but the landscape makes up for it. One or two level spots on top of the sloping rock and some more along the track. A few streams cross the path to the canyon. This time of year it is a bit of a challenge to reach the other side of the widest one with dry feet. There are also some snow fields to cross.
Parking is perfect voor de hike te doen maar ook om te slapen. Parking loopt idd wat schuin maar als je wat zoekt krijg je de camper wel aanvaardbaar! Ik had een geweldige rustige nacht! Voor herhaling vatbaar.
Nur wenige gerade Stellplätze, Strasse darf befahren, wenn Schranke oben ist. Allerdings Begrenzung auf 5t. Schlechter Zustand auf den letzten km.
Super spot , nous étions seuls (mois d’octobre). Magnifiques vue sur les aurores boréales vers 21h ! Demain départ pour la randonnée du Canyon ??
Empfehlenswert im Zusammenhang mit einer Wanderung zum Alta-Canyon und aufgrund der Lage, mit einer 360° Rundumsicht, für die Beobachtung der Polarlichter geeignet, wenn's die Anfahrt zulässt.
Nous y étions en septembre 2020, tout seuls, dans une ambiance de bout du monde-brouillard-silence absolu. c'est vrai que c'est un peu en pente mais sur le haut, on a réussi à être plat moyennant des cales. Spot idéal pour les aurores, vue à 360 :)
Le parking en lui même n'est pas très adapté pour y passer la nuit car il est en pente et exposé au vent. Plusieurs spots sont possibles le long de la piste qui mène au parking, quelques centaines de mètres avant, avec un aussi joli cadre. Point de départ pour la très belle randonnée vers l'Alta Canyon. Aucun service.
A wonderful and peaceful place. Very quiet at nights. Dont miss the chance to hike to the canyon!
Difficile de trouver une place à plat sur ce parking, mais si vous continuez la piste un peu plus loin il y a de nombreux endroits plus plat pour se poster pour la nuit ;)
Die Mitternachtssonne, die nächtliche Ruhe und die Aussicht hier waren der Hammer, jedoch standen wir nicht direkt auf dem Parkplatz, sondern 150m davon weiter in Richtung Gargia Fjellstua. War super...
