It’s quiet and phone signal is good. Aside from that it’s a pretty bland place to stay.
Parking d'Ongar Hill. À 4 mètres de haut, Hill est un terme impropre. Beaucoup de chemins sur les digues, surplombant le Great Ouse. Calme et isolé. Bon signal 4G.
Ongar Hill car park. At 4 metres high, Hill is a misnomer. Plenty of paths on the sea walls, overlooking the Great Ouse. Quiet and secluded. Good 4G signal.
Ongar Hill-Parkplatz. Mit einer Höhe von 4 Metern ist Hill eine falsche Bezeichnung. Viele Wege an den Deichen mit Blick auf die Great Ouse. Ruhig und abgeschieden. Gutes 4G-Signal.

BettyB8323/01/2024Recent bad weather meant it was mostly one big puddle so bear that in mind, it looked tiny and incredibly awkward to get down to and the little track leading up was very bumpy and pot holed. It also felt like we were on someone's land, it just felt odd. We'll stay in most places, but this wasn't for us and was much smaller than the pictures suggest. Maybe it's okay in summer/dry weather at a push

paddycasey05/10/2023Spent last night here,very quiet and secluded nice,nice walks,good phone/Wi-Fi and tv signal,no bins ect so please leave as you find it,spoke to a few dog walkers and runners who were very polite

Lovely quiet night on a Sunday, and nice views to wake up to, there wasn't any rubbish when we stayed, lots of midges though! Nice walk with the dogs, though lots of dog muck on the path which seemed to be left by local dog walkers pulling up in cars.

We turned up and everything looked great. I let the dogs out for a walk and realised that someone had emptied their chemical toilet out. In addition to that there were so many biting mosquitoes and I mean loads we probably had fifty I the van. We left and stayed ar a nearby C&CC CL site loads better.
N1C20/09/2023Great park up. Nice flat gravelled area with amazing views over the great expanse of fields. Quiet and calm … no concerns at all. Recommend highly !

Superb park up. Quiet area, and no angry locals. Stay within the law and no one can tell you what to do. Highly recommended. Arrive late, leave early, as usual.

Lovely quiet and rural place where we weren’t disturbed for the night. We met some lovely other campers. Views over the fields and a lovely walk through to the dyke. No litter there. The ground was gravelled so no worries about getting stuck or overly muddy in the rain.

We had a great stay here in our T6. Very quiet and secluded. Yes, a fair bit of litter; so we did an hour of rubbish picking to do our part. Nice walks from the car park. At one point, a car showed up with some kids playing loud music in the early evening. They didn’t stay long, caused no fuss. We had a great sleep - dead quiet and very dark. Three other friendly vans joined us. We’d stay again.
Crewser2adventures16/02/2023Remote & picturesque despite the huge amount of litter (which we spent about an hour collecting). Quite a few night time visitors. Lovely windy walks along the adjacent dyke. Judging by the rubbish we found, I can imagine this is quite busy meeting place at weekends!

Nice place well away from main roads stayed in my van the night had no issues in the morning just had the odd dog walker but overall really nice
4x4OVERLAND25/12/2022Flat. At the end of a long single track. Dog walkers who want to go on the mud flats in the morning. No problems. 4G no problem. No facilities.
