Only one here overnight - exceptionally quiet, birds singing, moon shining and a bit of a sunrise in the morning. Perfect. I parked on the old army barracks platforms just behind the main parking area - there are three accessible (carefully) in a van and are completely flat. What's not to like?!?

Great car park for walking from but not for staying overnight in. no flat spots. other better spots around and in Brecon are on this app.

Quiet little car park surrounded by trees. There is a pay and display machine but it wasn't working. Parking is free for NT members. I did not see any signs saying no camping or no overnight parking. So decided to stay here for the night in my van with no bother (after climbing Pen-y-Fan). I was the only one there for the night. Very peaceful. Would stay here again definitely.

Je ne parirais pas sur le faite qu'il soit gratuit car l'horodateur "nationale trust" est placé sur le bas côté un peu plus bas...

Pretty uneven. Though someone has said there is space for 4 vehicles, there is really only 1 part you can park your van flat. The rest would be hard

Sehr ruhig.

Slight gradient. Very quiet. Used by Hill walkers only. Good 4G. Enough space for 4 vehicles. No facilities or bins. As others have mentioned, the roads are narrow and would not suit anything wider than a Sprinter/Ducato. No park rangers. Would recommend.

Lanes going into this carpark are very narrow. I Drove my 6 birth MoHo through but wing mirrors had to be in and bushes rubbed van 80% of the way. car park has signs saying no overnight parking or camping so we decided not to stay

Fantastic spot, go past car park up to start of walk to pen y fan. Also lovely little stream to walk along directly alongside. Fairly narrow lanes on approaches. Walk up the ridgeway to pen y fan is just fabulous but be warned a bit of scrambling on last steep 100m or so.

Brilliant place to spend the night. Car park is quite sloped however there is a gravel section further up the hill which is flat. Excellent views and very quiet later in the day (even on a bank holiday weekend). Will stay again.

Stayed for two nights. Absolutely stunning .. get there early and there are level spaces passed the car park

Parking très en pente pour les gros véhicules. Payant la journée et interdit de rester la nuit. Route difficile d’accès (étroite avec des haies, qui n’étaient pas taillées quand nous sommes passés) pour un véhicule large. Nous avons fait demi-tour.

The postcode given here takes you to Cefn Cantref campsite but the map view takes you to Cwm Gwdi car park. I have stayed at Cwm Gwdi even though you are meant to pay £7 for a van and not stay overnight. It is lovely but on a steep slope - if you have a small van you can get on to some flat spots where army buildings have been demolished and the bases remain. It's a BBNP car park, nobody has ever bothered me there but you do get kids smoking dope and sometimes people camp out up the hill. If this is the intended spot, I can post photos but I have never been to the camp site.

    Calme, petit ruisseau, vue magnifique.
