this is used mostly by HGVs parking up at night Monday to Friday on the Irish ferry route, better parking in Girvan

Perfect, you can hear trucks in the distance, but the place feels safe enough. You could park a decent amount of vans there. Great for travellers in a group :) for someone who commented that they couldn’t do a right turn, just drive a little further and turn around where you can as it’s one of the last ones, if not the last one, which is entirely off the main road lay-by before Glasgow.
audreymac14/06/2021Should only enter the off-street lay-by coming from the Ayr direction. Also, no-entry sign when travelling towards Ayr so would have to turn right at brow of hill to enter - not safe.

Si pas d'autres solution pour dormir.. . aucun charme en bord de national.. un peu bruyante avec la route qui passe à 20 mètres et certains camion traversent même le parking à toute blinde sans s'y arrêter. Mais j'ai passé 1 nuit correcte quand même. on distingue la mer au bout du parking ;0)
