lovely place to stay next to the marina. busy ish with dog walkers, runners and cars till about 10pm no bother from anyone and space for about 10 vans. walked down the footpath to lovely chippy and shop. would stay again
À côté du bassin du canal de Chesterfield. Je me suis arrêté pour la journée sans problème et sans aucun panneau indiquant qu'il n'y avait pas de stationnement de nuit nulle part. Plat et de niveau avec un peu d'éclairage public. Le canal est idéal pour la pêche, la marche et le vélo. Quelques commerces dans village voisin.
Next to Chesterfield canal basin. I stopped therefortheday with no issues and no signs saying no overnight parking anywhere. Flat and level with some street lighting. Canal is great for fishing,walking and biking. Some shops in nearby village.
Neben dem Chesterfield-Kanalbecken. Ich hielt an diesem Tag ohne Probleme und ohne Schilder, die nirgendwo über Nacht parken. Flach und eben mit etwas Straßenbeleuchtung. Canal ist ideal zum Angeln, Wandern und Radfahren. Einige Geschäfte im nahe gelegenen Dorf.

RobbyL01/02/2023Quiet after 10pm on a week night. If there's a west wind, this can be an exposed spot... it was a windy night when i stopped here. I had to move off early because of the strong gusts blowing across the canal basin.

Stayed here for the night no problem very quiet few cars teenagers but after 10 all quiet it is a safe area my friend is local he says its ok there 2.9 hight limit but come in the other way through Shireoaks village no bridges best place in this area ideal for fishing or cycling,walking the canal ,dog walking etc don’t park at the end where cars turn park along the road nice and level
kagsyh2305/06/2022We didn't actually make it here as there is a low bridge, 2.9m clearance, just before you get there. We were coming from the A17 and are 3m high. Just beware!

The spot itself is great. Unfortunately it seems to be a place where teenagers with cars come to hang out. We were disturbed by lot’s of cars coming down with loud music and revving engines. Fortunately none of them stayed but we didn’t feel as safe and comfortable as we’d have liked.

Came back and stopped from 3pm to 8am without any issues. explored a bit more or the canal and then biked into Worksop.

Handy stopover with no issues parking. Noisy during the day but calms down at night. Lovely canal walk.
