Along Hamble beach (stone and sand) facing the port. mix of salt and fresh water, not very nice to swimm.
but nice viewpoint, no signs of any sort. benches available. lots of light from the marina and some from Southampton also.
busy during the day but rather quiet at night. windy, nice wave sound. 3 minutes drive from the very pretty village and harbour.

Lovely spot. Agree with all the positive comments in this thread. Some noise from the commercial port across the river, but it’s a low hum. Some light spillage too, from neighbouring marina, but the gentle sound of small waves lapping the shoreline 20 yards away more than made up for that. Breakfast was serene overlooking flat calm of Southampton Water. All it needs is a nearby loo!

Fabulous little spot right on the beach. Flat parking spaces. A bin. Easy access to a dog walking area either on the beach or along a path between the beach and a nature reserve.

Free with height restriction of 2.1m/6.10ft stayed a short while and had fish and chips from Hamble Lane fish & Chips which was recommended by some really lovely locals! I would have no hesitation staying here the night as it was out of the way and felt safe with pleasant walks and views

Nice space, fairly quite when I arrived but at 2300hrs there was still a lot of loud music etc playing. A lot of loud exhausts. I was ready to move but all was quiet by around midnight although random cars came and went all night. Lovely place to wake up in.

have stayed there once and a great place. very quiet and felt safe there. a few other campers stayed overnight too. 20 feet away from the shore, can watch the cruise liners go past in th evening. some boy motorbike racers turned up at 11 or so but only stayed for a few minutes. quick walk into Hamble village too which is very nice. highly recommended A

The local youths use this car park at night, to show off car, take drugs etc. personally I would not park here for a night.

Good size car park, nice views and walks along the coast, all the way to Weston. Problem is teenagers come here at night sometimes playing music and whatnot, had that on and off throughout. Some quiet bits after 11-12
