Important : une fois au refuge (visible depuis le parking) le chemin part vers la gauche (quand on est face à la montagne), puis suivez petits tas de cailloux.
La route est une piste correcte...sauf en passant par la sortie nord de Karistos est très compliquée pour les gros camping-car...et sans doute impossible pour les tractions (pente très très raides et longues dans un village).
Depuis Karistos la route d'accès la plus simple est celle partant de l'EST de Karistos : c'est un détour...mais qui est plus prudent.
Parking at the start of the hike leading to the "dragon house". allow 1h30 to go. Important: once at the refuge (visible from the car park) the path goes to the left (when you are facing the mountain), then follow small piles of pebbles. The road is a decent track ... except through the northern exit of Karistos is very complicated for large camper vans ... and probably impossible for pull-ups (very very steep and long slope in a village). From Karistos the easiest access road is the one starting from the EAST of Karistos: it is a detour ... but which is more careful.
Parken zu Beginn der Wanderung zum "Drachenhaus". 1h30 gehen lassen. Wichtig: Sobald Sie in der Schutzhütte (vom Parkplatz aus sichtbar) angekommen sind, geht der Weg nach links (wenn Sie auf den Berg blicken) und folgen dann kleinen Kieselhaufen. Die Straße ist eine anständige Strecke ... außer durch den nördlichen Ausgang von Karistos ist sie für große Wohnmobile sehr kompliziert ... und für Klimmzüge wahrscheinlich unmöglich (sehr, sehr steiler und langer Hang in einem Dorf). Von Karistos aus ist die einfachste Zufahrtsstraße die, die vom OSTEN von Karistos ausgeht: Es ist ein Umweg ... aber der ist vorsichtiger.
Aparcamiento al inicio de la caminata que conduce a la "casa del dragón". deje que transcurran 1h30. Importante: una vez en el refugio (visible desde el aparcamiento) el camino va a la izquierda (cuando estás de cara a la montaña), luego sigue pequeños montones de guijarros. La carretera es una pista decente ... excepto por la salida norte de Karistos que es muy complicada para furgonetas camper grandes ... y probablemente imposible para pull-ups (pendiente muy, muy empinada y larga en un pueblo). Desde Karistos la vía de acceso más fácil es la que parte del ESTE de Karistos: es un desvío ... pero que es más cuidadoso.

Ruhiger Platz zum Übernachten. Die Wanderung zum Drachenhouse ist mittelschwer. Sehr schön. Wanderschuhe sind gut, da zwischendurch Geröll kommt. Auf der App „Komoot“wird die Wanderung beschrieben. Wir sind ungeübt und haben 4 Stunden für die Tour gebraucht. Man fährt ca. 45 Minuten von Karystos hoch.
Thanks to the pictures the place can be found easily. Road was good, also in January. The hike starts opposite of the parking between the tree and the wall. The path has several red arrows leading the way up to the church and dragon house. Great view! It was calm to spend the night there. Nice sunrise view!
Sensationeller Stellplatz mit fantastischer Fernsicht. Die Auffahrt von Süden her ist nur im letzten Stück etwas ruppig und könnte für große Überhänge problematisch sein. Zwei Abzweigungen werden von Google Maps nicht richtig angezeigt (siehe Fotos).
Man schlaft direkt auf dem Parkplatz von wo die Wanderung zum Dragon house startet, der Platz ist gut zum Übernachten und die Wanderung war richtig schön. Die Anfahrt zum Parkplatz ist jedoch sehr lange, die Schotterstraße ist zwar gut aber eben lang… und man kann sich nicht auf Google Maps verlassen, schlägt falsche Straße zur Hinfahrt vor… Am Parkplatz war auch ein Streuner Hund, jedoch harmlos
Wunderschöner Stellplatz, Auffahrt von Süden (wie oben geschrieben) wird täglich mehrfach von großen LKWs befahren, daher für viele Fahrzeuge machbar und breit. Stellfläche ist eben, Schotter und Gras bilden den Untergrund. Bei der Schutzhütte gibt es die Möglichkeit sich Wasser zu holen: eine Quelle links davor. Sensationeller Ausblick und Ruhe, eine kühle Nacht.
