Emmabarker202001/06/2020Nice fairly quiet spot just of a little road just on the edge of the village. No facilities. Stayed here 1 night during lockdown with no trouble from locals. long distance walking paths via a gate just next to the car park. Would be happy to park here again in the future.
timandjen07/12/2019The situation has improved. English Heritage have removed the No Overnight sign and put up a standard sign which talks about getting locked in after hours. This is nonsense as it is an open car park. Free to members, £3 per day for non-members. It is a lovely spot in a lovely little town. The George and Dragon is well worth a visit.
glajones26/05/2018English Heritage own this carpark and have placed a sign next to the parking meter stating....NO OVERNIGHT PARKING - not sure if it's enforced or not.

A quiet place to spend the night (The church clock stops at 11pm and starts again at 6am but the birds started a bit earlier) and it's still only £1 for 24 hours.

Lovely Quiet spot. Toilets a short walk away but cost 20p. Free in the local pub though.

Perfect. Quiet and safe right next to a really lovely village and an English Heritage site. Great walks from the car park too.
